While traveling in the area I found Pete and Amanda's and their reviews looked good. I walked in and only waited a few minutes. I had the pleasure of Pete cutting my hair and trimming my beard. Best cut and beard trim I've ever had. Great atmosphere and great people working there. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area next time.

I ask for a medium-fade on two separate occasions (both times with the tall lady) and received essentially a high and tight. At first I thought it was a fluke but then it happened again. I have requested the same specific haircut for nearly six years and somehow this shop fails to listen to my simple request. I have received much better service from people in other countries that speak literally zero English to take my haircut order.What upsets me most is that I’m paying $18 for substandard service. I expect you to listen to what I request, especially when I tip at least $10 each time. I will not be returning to this business. If this hasn’t scared you away, I recommend explaining thoroughly what you kind of haircut you want. Please start listening to your customers instead of assuming that you know what they want.

Great little barber joint. Walked in to maybe 4-5 people waiting for cuts and it took no longer than 15 minutes before I was in the hot seat. The dude who cut my hair accommodated all of my little peccadillos about my thinning hair and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be going back for my next cleanup job.

The only place to go for a good haircut or a proper fade! We lived in the Grand Forks area for years, and I could never find anyone who could cut my sons' hair right until someone pointed us toward Pete & Amanda's! My boys love Amanda, she always does amazing work, she cuts my hair also! My husband goes to Pete for haircuts and beard trims and has always been happy! Love the atmosphere, love the people!

We went and got my 4 year Olds hair cut by ...I think his name was Andrew? 😬 Anyway he did great with my son who has alot of sensory issues and this was only my son's second cut in the shop. He was so patient and talked my son through the whole process.

Amanda is the best! After a barber completely destroyed my hair by cutting it all off, Amanda cut my hair for me and made it look much more feminine. I recommend her to ethnic people such as myself! I will definitely be back!

Been in this establishment three times now, place is filthy, walking through other people's hair is rarely acceptable, there is no queue, you walk in and they simply tell you to take a seat despite being busy, so you dont know how many people are in front of you nor do the people that walk in afterwards, staff seems friendly to some degree, however for the price it had better be worth it, and spoiler alert, it's not, at all! Asked for a medium to high fade, which I used to think should be fairly simple for a barber shop however I recieved a sloppy low fade that cost me $30 dollars before tipping and I still needed to finish it up at home. Side burns were completely untouched and not blended in to match my beard despite the gentleman that cut my hair having a beard himself. Save your time and your money and stick to great clips or cost cutters, you'll be way more satisfied and wealthy.

These people are slow and care nothing about a lunch rush. Between 10:30-12 , people try to break from work and get a haircut. These people care nothing about anyone who needs to go to work. Talk and chat to special customers forever. Close early and run off due to numerous personnel issues. This place is clearly unreliable if you are in a rush to get back to work. Sometimes is 5 people and it takes 2 hours to get to you with 3 barbers working.

Again another bad cut in Grand Forks! Got my haircut from he tall girl who I heard was good and she just destroyed my hair. There's no place to get a good cut for people of color in Grand Forks. Screwed up my whole weekend!
