So there I was, hands in pants pockets, staring at a "juice shot". The heavier ingredients in the shot had separated. The liquid in the upper half was clear, and the lower half was green. I grabbed the juice shot. I rotated the bottle end over end, and watched the heavy green metallic substance permeate and penetrate into the translucent fluid. Soon, all the ingredients in the juice shot had blended, and become one. I rush outside. I slowly raise my hand up toward the sky, presenting the nutritional drink to the gods.There's trumpets sounding in from a distance.The people gather round."Exquisite" said the king."Juice shots for everybody! We had our wedding cake from here, and it was DELICIOUS. We ordered dark chocolate raspberry and almond with regular frosting. They were super accommodating, willing to do our cake with only a few weeks notice, and really took the time to make sure we were happy, including following up afterwards. The bakery manager, Gwen, was especially great to work with during the whole thing. Our only gripe is that they wouldn't put the flower cake topper on the cake because we didn't buy the flowers from them, but we were able to put it on and everything turned out fine. We will definitely be coming here to get cakes for occasions in the future!

Hugo's - overpriced, only real competitive grocery chain would be Aldi and Walmart, to which if do either before trying Hugos. The deli fried chicken is top shelf though

A great shopping experience! Always friendly customer service. Especially Mike at the service center, and Gloria in the deli. They get a huge shout out because they are always on point, extremely customer oriented. If they don't have what I came in for, they always go above and beyond to make my day special. Thank you!

Went in to pick up a few small things. I was staying at a motel for a week so needed small stuff to eat while in town. These s'mores cupcakes were delicious! The fruit was fresh. Employees were so friendly. Stopped on my way out of town to pick up more cupcakes for my kid. 🙃

A cute, family friendly local hometown grocery store. I got what I needed. It has everything a typical grocery store should have. Staff was helpful and fun even though I came in 5 minutes before close. I was still greeted with a welcoming smile. Thank you all. Big wide isles and a great selection of products.

Not busy at all today especially for 530ish. We got the coupon specials and some other thingies.We haven't seen weekly coupons in the mail yet. We let Hugo's tell us what's for supper.Coupons and other specials again. Went super.

Hugo's is ALWAYS a good shop. Stores are very clean and well organized. Fresh veggies section is beautiful to look at. Staff are dependably helpful. This is my grocery store of choice.

Grand Forks local #1 grocery store for many reasons. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful deli and bakery, and their salted caramel pecan cookies are addicting as ever.Whether new to town or lived here your entire life , there is a trick not everyone is aware of. If you have something you purchase regularly at another store or city, just let them know and they will start carrying the product(s) if possible. If it sells, they will continue to carry said item(s)

Prices really been going up high....Real high.i can go to target and 1 can soup 30 cents cheaperEssential brand not as good either...Hugo's not like it use to be..And bakery.....no...not as it was...it seems they take no pride in their food products at all anymoreCheap grease on buns..even smells bad.So why no pride in the name....hugos.....,?? food or taste, wish we had a decent bakery and deli....a d to beat it a..they just dont care..

Everything is getting too expensive. It's not just Hugo's. I went to the bakery for a specific item, but for the first time, they didn't have it, and the bakery was closed due to employee shortage, so I just bought a loaf of bread for my mom.

Over priced and depending day vs eve crew I gave 3 stars.Eve crew at register won't look at u and just conversation with bagger. Day crew are snobs, no sense of humor and bad customer service as well.

Both of the Hugo locations i visited, the Hugos on Washington in Grand Forks was a nice clean store with friendly helpful employees, I was delivering a load of groceries to the store so got to see more than the average customer would, it was clean and well kept. The store in Theif River Falls, Mn. Was also clean and tidy, with friendly staff there as well.

They used to carry Our Family products. Since they are using Essential products it is not as use to be. The quality of Our Family was by far better, even friends agree. Also on certain sale items a limit is placed, if you are selling then there should not be no limit or more than one product. When it was discontinued to preparing bakery and deli on site that is when quality declined.

They are very well organized, they have a lunch area to pick your hot food, or salad. The employees are very nice to help you out. I would know lol I have a brain injury. They pressure wash all their carts so you know they are getting washed.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Store always looks clean even when they're stocking. The deli has a great selection.
