Variety, some things cheaper than down town. Ethnic row can't be missed, just wish there was more. Prices are creeping up and not as many useful coupons. Still worth a visit every once in awhile. UPDATE: love the seasonal goodies from Europe. Just like being overseas and seeing and buying the same goodies. Thanks for bringing them in! Prices are going higher but understandable. Surprising the meat department was looking lean. Overall still a good value. NOV 15th, o enjoy the seasonal goodies from Europe. They might be a little pricy, but I remember these brands from Germany and Holland. Keep bringing these goodies in!

Being a vet and being able to shop here is an appreciated privilege. Great clean facility, friendly service, excellent prices -especially on meat, can goods, and produce. Our military and families do a first class job at this base and it shows. Thank you.

The fruits and vegetables here normally look like they've been beat up. The meat is fairly decent but avoid the bakery. I have found more times and not that the baked goods are put away warm and there for the breads that are supposed to have a crispy shell won't and they mold very quickly. Whatever you do don't say anything to the staff because they will blow you off and send you on your way. I would rather drive to Walmart or grocery store downtown before I go here in purchase anything again.UPDATE: I went shopping here the other day as I was on the base. I was looking for foot care products. I found the small section and was sure by all the expired products. The products not yet expired will expire next month. I let a stocker know and he told me it wasn't his job.

This place is pretty good. They have deli-sandwiches made to order and a host of other convenient, quick foods. The selection is adequate, although I'm not excited about their produce. The prices are comparable in many ways to Walmart.

We are retired and live 2 hours from the base. We have not gotten in the habit of making the drive to come to this Commissary as a retiree benefit. Bad mistake. Each time we make the enjoyable drive to shop here, we wonder why we don't do it more often! Today was like each of our other shopping trips. We are always greeted by friendly personnel who ensure we are finding what we are in search of. We loaded up on meat and chicken products as our primary mission. There are so many great savings that we just keep loading the carts. We typically fill a couple carts. There was an in-house coupon book where the coupons earned savings toward paying for a turkey, which we ended up with!The wonderful personnel that bagged the groceries for us did a great job and they place them into Rubbermaid tubs for the the ride home. Everyone was was so accommodating and friendly. We need to visit more often. This money we saved of shopping at Walmart way more than paid for our fuel for the trip. We prefer the quality of the meat over Walmart too.

My biggest complaint is that items I want are often discontinued for no reason and when you ask what happened you get the buck passed up to headquarters, which I don't doubt. Use by dates are sometimes not adhered to, and often items are not adequately stocked. Produce is often passed it's prime, and fruit is often priced higher than in Grand Forks and the quality is below average. The meat and dairy section is not as good as it used to be, but it is still cheaper than in town. Many of the canned goods are priced equal to or higher than Walmart. The store is clean, and the staff and helpers do a very good job. But overall when you factor in the drive out there, the 5 percent surcharge and the tip for service it doesn't pay to make the commissary your regular shopping place.

WAY more expensive than stores in town, rarely shop here and realize why. Will only come back for the sushi which is amazing! Customer service is lacking, and speed of service is definitely lacking. Wish this commissary was like commissaries on big bases, if so in sure more people would shop here.

We live about 80 miles from the base, but we are always very pleased with our visit at the Commissary. We make the trip at least 2 times a year.Great prices & very friendly staff.

Has more affordable prices on meat products than other grocery stores. Their fruit selection is typically very small though.

This commissary is decent. Some spices and ingredients aren't present such as dried chives, so you may need to go to the Walmart for the rest of your shopping list.

The Grand Forks Commisary have been more than helpful. They remember you enough they even what to put and not put in your fruit and veggie trays. We are very lucky to have them all
