I won't lie this place is everything, it's a motel, a RV park, a bar, and a little store.It is sort of in the middle of nowhere but I love it, driving up here was amazing we saw a lot of beautiful scenery and the weather was about 62°F the entire time.The rooms are great no complaints there, the bathrooms and showers are shared, it was a little weird but it was something new. Besides that I enjoyed my stay here! I'd love to live here if I could!

When we were looking for a place to stay in the area, we found this and were not sure what to expect. The reviews were great, we took a chance, and are glad we did! There is a great story and l love seeing that a long-abandoned school was transformed. Very comfortable bed, very clean, an unexpected great workout room, very very quiet and affordably priced.

This was a great experience for my four children and I. Its not a five start hotel but for a hunting lodge, we had a great experience. We hunted during the day and were able to continue having fun at night at the restaurant and pool tables. The rooms aren't amazing but they do the job. Thankyou.

10/10! ALL IN ONE, Bar, SUPER NICE Motel, Restaurant, C-Store, and tons more! Excellent place to stay if you're hunting. There's a community kitchen and a gym too. Owned by THE NICEST family ever and you feel like a local as soon as you walk in the door! They also have a ton of great events, live music, and more. You will never find a place like this one!

I've been coming here since about 2016 and it just gets better every year! You've got a great motel with a TON of different room styles, full bar, great food, general store, RV park camping- and it's ALL connected. It's essentially the coolest getaway/resort ever. The area around Fortuna is super bomb and has a ton to do. Lakes, museums, historic sites, gorgeous hiking, you name it. Mike & Deb (the owners) are absolutely incredible. They make sure you're totally taken care of! Seriously, I've been all over the world from the Dominican to Berlin. This is literally my favorite spot in the universe. You have everything you need on site, it's family owned & managed, you're treated like a local, and it's great for long term or just traveling. This place is truly a one-of-a-kind you can't miss.

I hate to tell everyone how nice this place is - we'd rather it be our secret - but The Old School Center deserves some recognition. The owners, Deb and Mike couldn't be nicer and they both look like retired movie stars. The food is just bar food but it is very good especially if Tony is in the kitchen. You can see the kitchen from the bar and it is spotless.We stayed in the RV park out back for a couple of weeks. The utilities were good and steady. The wifi is good although we didn't use it for anything more than email/browsing. Our neighbors said you could stream Netflix. There are some issues with the RV park being a bit muddy but Mike is adding layers of gravel which is really helping. The winters are hard on roads in North Dakota. The bar can get rowdy on the weekend but the locals are incredibly nice people, so who cares?The area is remote-ish but the grocery store in Crosby, about 30 miles away, is excellent. The town of Williston is about an hour away and they have several grocery stores, a Walmart and a Menard's and other services. There is a small grocery store on-site which carries a lot of basics at fair prices.Finally, if you are full time like we are you'll appreciate the fact that they can easily handle your Amazon orders. They have a secure room devoted to mail and package deliveries. We had several rounds of packages with no issues.Like I said, I'd like to see this place remain our secret but if you find yourself up on the Highline, please consider The Old School Center.
