Horrible customer service employees seem like they hate life literally! I rented a cargo van and there were discrepancies with the odometer, oil etc. That van felt like it was ran into the ground. I see why they have “now hiring” sign outside!They need to learn customer service skills and hold off on the passive aggressiveness! I will never rent from here again, I’d prefer to haul my things on a 🐪 camels back. Ridiculos cantos de estupido!

I tried to rent a tow dolly. After providing some information, they said they couldn't rent it to me based on their tow rating requirements. I asked a couple of questions as to why--not trying to be rude or anything --when another employee stepped in, cut me off, voice raised, and informed me that the system wouldn't allow them to rent the tow dolly to me. Well, I had already discerned this from being in the room. I just wanted to figure out if my towing vehicle wasn't able to do the job or if my vehicle to be towed was too heavy for the dolly. Anyway ... It's probably a fine U-Haul as long as you don't ask any questions.

CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COMPANY! We reserved a 26’ truck two weeks ago to pick up tomorrow. Got a phone call today (14 hours before our pick up time) that they don’t have the truck we reserved. Don’t have a 21’ truck either. Our options were to drive to Alexandria for a 26’ truck or to Detroit Lakes for a 21’ truck. Both are far enough away that we have to pick up today instead of tomorrow in order to make our move in time. So even though we just arrived in Fargo from a 2 day road trip, we had to get back in the car and drive to Detroit Lakes. Rep on the phone said they *might* be able to give us a free day for their mistake. Definitely won’t be recommending this place or uhaul to anyone. 0/10 Please pick somewhere else to rent a truck.

ZERO STARS!!!! Reserved a Trailer over a month in advance and 2 days before our move we were notified the trailer would not be available!!! The nearest trailer was 200 miles away, so we literally had to take a day off to drive 200 miles to pick up the trailer we needed!! Look up definition of Reservation!!!! it means to HOLD or RESERVE!!! If you make a reservation, its up to them to HONOR this!!! TERRIBLE and Customer service or upper management was no help at ALL.

I wish I could leave this place zero stars. Bradley Thompson from the Main Ave location is rude, disrespectful, and basically laughed in our face. We had a cargo trailer reserved for 9/11/22 at 10:30am, I reserved this back on 9/6/22 and when I reserved it, the site said “reservation guaranteed or we’ll give you $50.” Show up to the Main Ave location about 10am, saying we have a pickup and I know we’re a bit early, but if it’s ready already, we will take it. Didn’t get greeted, and as soon as Brad looked up my reservation, he stated that he had one that wasn’t ready, and another that wasn’t gonna be back till 11:30. We were confused because my reservation was guaranteed. When I stated that the site had said they would pay me $50 if my trailer wasn’t there, he said “I’m not paying you $50 for someone else’s mistake.” We were going to leave, but imagine that, the cargo trailer was ready. When we went out with the younger kid that was also working to get hooked up, I asked him if Brad was always that rude or if it was just a bad day, to which he replied “Eh, he’s just an old guy, he’s just that way.” No. That’s not good enough for me. When you work in customer service and represent a company, you should uphold their values, and I know uhaul corporate values their customers. We will never be back to this location, which I’m sure will please Brad. Someone higher up needs to fix this store.

This is the worst customer service I've ever received. I moved here from CO and got a storage unit. I reserved online and off the bat they said they didn't have any openings and had to move me to another location. The guy there when I brought my stuff to storage was completely and utterly clueless. He didn't save my email (even though I gave it to him 3 times), I was never sent a bill or told how to pay. After getting 2 late notices were sent to my home address telling me to pay online (when I went online, it said I have no current reservations) and spending a week on hold (every time I call it's a 30 minute hold time and no one answers) I went in to get everything straightened out. The late payment was made, auto pay was set up and all billing was updated and caught up. 2 weeks later, I go to my storage unit to retrieve something and they've placed an additional lock on my unit without telling me at all and now I cannot get any of my things. I will never rent or send business to Uhaul again.

Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the two younger guys who were working 01/30/16, but they were awesome.Our online reservation got screwed up, causing us to drive from the Main Ave location to a storage unit dealer, then back to Main Ave, while making calls back and forth with the regional support people (the storage unit dealer staff admitted she didn't know what she was doing, and her system kept trying to charge me $250 for a $130 rental. She assured me, "it's probably a mistake... you might get reimbursed later").Finally we just chose a new truck entirely so we could pick up at Main Avenue. The second we walked in the door, the guys were amazing. They knew we had been dealing with this mess for two hours, so they had us in and out of the store in five minutes with the keys to the truck, the correct price, and a discount for our trouble- thus ending 'The Great U-haul Fight of 2016' between my boyfriend and I since the entire ordeal was making us bite each other's heads off.Moving sucks. Make it easier on yourself by at least getting your U-haul from a location where the staff knows what they're doing, like the Main Ave location. Thanks guys. :)

I had reserved a truck and was set to pick it up using the 24/7 truck share. At 5 AM on moving day I went to my assigned U-Haul to pick up the truck and was unable to do so. I called the number the app gave me and got no answer. I then called U-Haul customer service and was told the truck was not ready and that I would have to wait until store open at 7AM. So I waited however when the store opened I was told the truck I had reserved was not, and would not be available. After about half an hour of trying to find me a truck one was found that I could use with two issue. One I could only have the truck for 4 hours not the originally requested 8. Two, I had reserved a 17' truck and was given a 12' that was at a different location. So, after getting up and being at U-Haul at 5AM I finally had a truck at 7:45AM, not the one I needed but I was going to have to make it work. Customer service the whole time was awful, I never dealt with anyone that could give me a straight answer and the staff was in general rude. The only compensation given for the major mess up on U-Hauls part was $10 off. I believe I qualify for U-Hauls $50 reservation guarantee as I was not contacted the day prior and they did not meet my preferred time place or size. I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone and myself will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Since I haven't actually stepped into U-Haul Moving & Storage of Fargo yet - I'll give them a two in good faith that an in person experience will be better than over the phone. I scheduled to have a hitch put on my vehicle two weeks ago and received an email that someone would be calling me to schedule a time. Never received a call. I called them yesterday and explained I never received a call and they left a message for someone in their service department give me a call right back. Still didn't receive a call. Called back today - spoke with 5 different people was transferred or put on hold 6 different times only to find out they scheduled my appointment for the day after I requested and didn't bother to let me know. I also didn't receive an apology from any of the five people I spoke with - not even from the last person who knew how many times I'd been transferred and that they changed the date without telling me. I usually don't write these reviews - and I can let it go but moving in itself is stressful. Getting supplies to help you move shouldn't have to be too.

Unbelievably terrible customer service. We reserved our trailer 3 weeks prior to needing them to move out of state. They call us the day before and let us know they do not have any trailers available at our location and we will have to drive an hour away during WORK HOURS in order to get one. Simply unreal. Shame on you U-Haul for making an already stressful situation 1000x worse. Unbelievable.

Will never rent a trailer or uhaul from these people.. they steal money from your account and then blame it on your bank. When you call the bank and they say it has nothing to do with them its the merchant wanting that amount. Then the manager wants to deny and say its not them yet again even though THEIR customer service can see the over charge on their ends but supposedly they can't see it at the store 🤔 then mention I am going to bring a cop to do a report on this fraudulent matter on THEIR end they had a attorney ready. Because they were in fact GUILTY! But can't buck up and be honest about it and at least apologize for the mess up! The other uhaul place on 13th is way better to deal with! Oh and maybe a person working there shouldn't admit to it and say the hold from them will fall off.. you know that hold you blamed my bank for.. interesting.

Had a really good first experience here. Just went to get a new propane tank and get it filled up.. It went fast and the staff seemed friendly and helpful.Only 'con' was when I walked inside, there was nobody in the area and it took a brief moment to be helped. Not a big deal though.

Reserved a trailer, I went to pick it up and the guy said my trailer was buried in a snow bank(literal tons of snow) he said I could shovel it out. I had to cancel my reservation as my trailer was not available, and it was so late in the day I couldn’t obtain another the same day. I did not make it to work the following Monday as I needed to move a toolbox. I called and let them know the trailer I reserved was not available and asked for satisfaction per the reservation guarantee. Needless to say it was never received and I’m willing to bet my incident was never recorded. It’s not hard to honor what you promise.

Everything was ready and they had van warming up on a -10°f morning. Store looked clean and full of adequate supply's for the day. Counterman helped set up my online account to make regular use easier. At 19.95 a day it's cheaper than taxi.

I wish I had read the reviews before blindly trusting this place. I had reserved a truck roughly 2.5 weeks ago to move out of state. I knew there was a chance I might not get the exact size of truck I ordered, but they called me at 7PM the night BEFORE I was set to leave and told me NOTHING was available. They couldn't have foreseen this a week ago? Two days ago? Absolutely lazy. Not to mention, the way they offered to make it right was for me to drive to St. Cloud or Hastings, MN to pick up a truck on MY dime. How convenient huh? Wait until the last minute when someone is in a jam to gouge them with more costs.Honestly, I'll never spend another dime at Uhaul and will make sure to share this story with anyone that will listen so they don't make the same mistake I made.

Kylie in the corporate office is the rudest person I have ever uncountered. I was upset because it took me a total of 4 hours to retrieve my uhaul and tow dolly the morning of my move. It made me reschedule movers in both locations and I called to talk about the horrible inconvenience. I thought there should definitely be sone compensation for the inconvenience and all she said was you have to pay for your uhaul and tow dolly. I did pay for them. An Im sorry at the least or maybe a $50 credit? something for a $600 dollar trip that cost me much more than planned due to gas and time because of all the extra driving as well as a bigger truck that I didn’t want. She was very rude and uncaring. I would hate to think others have to talk with her when they have an issue.

Worst place to rent from. Reserved a truck and trailer 2 weeks in advance in Fargo Nd. Was told they would make sure it was there. It wasn't. Ended up driving an additional 100 miles just to get what was needed to move across state. Then to top it off they gave misleading information about being able to haul a pickup on the car transporter. Ended up driving the pickup and hauled the car which end up with damaged.

This place is in the wrong era of commerce. Unless you rent a larger truck (which costs more) they cannot take a debit card or cash. Why in the world he world would one have this policy. In addition my previous visit when I rented a larger truck I asked the staff why not fill the trucks up before giving a new person the truck, he was rude and just explained they cannot do that yet they fine people for not filling it up. And I asked well what do you do with that money you fined the last guy? Got no response from that, and it says everything.

I would give zero stars but that’s not an option. I initially made my reservation over the phone with Michael. I was supposed to pick up the trailer at 7am and have it until 7pm. I received a confirmation email and that had the address to this U-Haul location. I arrive at 7am to pick up the trailer and Aaron’s and an older guy were working. The other guy told me that they don’t have a trailer for us and it’s at another location. When I asked where this other location was he didn’t know and couldn’t remember if it’s on 15th ave or where it is. I asked if he had an address to the other location because I’m not from this area and do not know where 15th ave is. That’s when Aaron jumped into the conversation rudely. He had his own customers he was helping and tried to give verbal directions but again, I DO NOT KNOW THE AREA. Clearly his directions he said in 4 seconds went over my head. I tried to ask why my email said this was the pick up location if there was no trailer, got nothing . Bad experience, unprofessional and untrained employees, horrible customer service.

Terrible customer service, Kylie at the Fargo regional office is rude, disrespectful and changed my reservation without approval expecting me to drive 300 miles to pick up a uhaul. Got a call the day before I am meant to move and she advised me there are no trucks available and I would have to drive 300 miles at my cost and no options on how to get my car back from driving 300 miles away.Shame on you Uhaul and Kylie in the Fargo regions office.

The women on the phone was extremely rude. I asked to get emailed a quote and after i did not give her my credit card number she ended the call with the same nasty attitude she had the whole time. I never got a email, and pushed to the side because I wouldn't lock in THAT second.

We reserved a truck and trailer two months in advance. We received a call less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to pick up the truck telling us that the truck we reserved is no longer available and we need to drive 100 miles in order to pick one up. Again, this was less than a 24 hour notice! Very poor customer service. I wish I would have called Budget or Peske first, I didn't need to sit on hold for 15 minutes to talk to someone like at U-Haul and they both had great customer service.

I had already finalized my rental and called for an extension and it was like I was bothering her. Just short and rude. Didnt know what I was told at the Main Ave branch. I called to inquire about rates for a car- towing trlr. Girl asked me for my phn# or email address right away. When I asked why she needed it, she hung up on me! When I called back, another girl answered. Said they were having phone problems (yeah right..). Then she asked for my phn# or email address-- said she needed it to get into her computer. As I thought of what to say, she kept saying, " Hello? Hello?" After trying to talk, I finally said I didn't want to talk to her. Bunch of Smart Alecks.

I had used this uhaul in my move. After using their uhaul i ended up with bed bugs. After posting this incident online, i began to get emails from other peoole who has used this same uhaul place and they too ended up with bed bugs. Also people who have used their storage ended up with bed bugs. U guys are just spreading it around and costing people thousands of dollars to get this issue fixed. I had talked to someone but doesnt sound like im going to get reimbursed at all. We have had to throw out beds, pay for chemicals and heating of my apartment which none of it is cheap, and something i really dont have money for as a single mother. But yet all they said was im sorry, thats it. CLEAN OUT UR UHAULS POWER WASH THEM WHEN PEOLLE GET DONE USING THEM, HEAT UP ALL UR STORAGE UNITS TO OVER 120 FOR 1HR STRAIGHT THAT WILLBGET RID OF THE ISSUE, UNTILL THEN U GUYS WILL KEEP GIVING THEM TO PEOLKE IN TOWN AND MAKING THE ISSUE WORSE.

When I went to pick up the Truck the guy was really rude and monotone, didn't greet the customers. He never thanked customer for waiting, never apologized that they had to wait.When I went to drop the Vehicle that guy was really nice and helpful.
