i typically don’t like to get small animals from pet stores because many times, they end up sick, injured, or just poorly bred and sold for money. i wanted to adopt their remaining two male rats because i felt bad for them (and missed having rats), and i want to say the worker there genuinely did care for the rats it seemed. he was knowledgeable on their age and health status and informed me that while they don’t tend to have the time to socialize their rats, the breeder they buy from produces really nice rats that usually aren’t skittish. i brought these guys home and they were of course nervous, but VERY quickly warmed up to me. they love bobbing their heads to music and running around my room and playing with their toys in their cage. i feel like i looked sketchy buying only the rats and food because i had stuff at home, but they are very loved 🤣 highly recommend this place over petco or petsmart for small animals!!

BUYERS BEWARE! DON’T SHOP HERE!Bought a Puppy with the expectation of it being a life long ESA animal. Took pup to the vet on the 4th day of having it to find out it was really sick and required surgery that would have been extensive and may cause issues later on down the road. Got bounced around by employees on the phone and told theres nothing we can do besides reimburse the vet visit but not the surgery because it was un-necessary to get him fixed and it took our vet calling them to even get them to offer a full refund. This was not our fault and should have been examined by a vet before even being sold to a customer. There was no apology or empathy shown when returning the puppy. Besides we got a call after leaving saying that I was banned from purchasing from that store again… not like I would have ever stepped foot in a place that cons people to purchase pets who haven’t been properly seen by a vet before being allowed to be sold.

After purchasing a Purebred Golden Retriever back in October, the puppy had some issues and they were willing to help out with the costs of it without any problems. I highly recommend them as they are willing to help out with expenses and have great customer service. Very much appreciate and will come back in the way future when I decided to get another pup.

We got our puppy June 2021 he’s 1/2 toy poodle, 1/4 Pomeranian and 1/4 chihuahua. The Grand Forks location was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Otis has been very healthy and he’s super smart. I’m not sure if he already had some crate training before I got him but he’s done amazing with crate training. At 3 months old he was already able to sit, shake, roll over, and most recently I’m teaching him how to walk through my legs as I walk. He learns quick. He potty trained quick as well. We’re super satisfied with our pup and our experience with Pets r Inn.

BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a Jack Russel from this pet store and found out later the breeder had a contract signed that she was NEVER to sell to a pet store- we wanted to register him BUT the breeder was VERY UPSET WE WANTED THE DOCUMENTS- she said ABSOLUTELY NOT SHE COULD LOOSE HER BREEDING LICENSE. Not to mention he was not the healthiest- he constantly had a gooey green eye discharge (infection) severe anxiety- he was TAKEN WAY TO EARLY from his mother. The pet store had him in A CAGE BEFORE he was 7wks old!!! My heart broke for him 💔The pet store owner will find ANYWAY possible to NOT honor the warranty given on the animals- and I TRULY question the whole statement about animals not coming from puppy mills! I DONT BELIEVE IT! THEY are all about the money!!

Who doesn't love a pet store? They have a great assortment of pet supplies. Their inventory of animals was down a little, but it was still fun to see the different pets they have. They have an interaction corner, so if you wanted to hold a puppy or kitten you can do that, and it's good for the animals to have that interaction as well. This will always be my first and last stop when I visit the mall in Fargo.

Put a down payment on a puppy about 3 weeks ago and snow storm hit the day we were going to head to Fargo so post poned until Sunday. Our little guy was worth the wait & the staff was so wonderful about everything! I couldn't be happier with the experience & our little guy Bowser

As a store that specializes in pets and sells LIVE animals, the managers and staff should be well versed in how to care for these animals. When I first passed by this store months ago I noticed that they keep the rabbits and guinea pigs in the same enclosures. If you don't have enough space to keep them separate, maybe cut back on the amount of animals you sell. I'm not going to list all the reasons they should not be housed together. That should be something you as a company are aware of and something you wouldn't want to promote as acceptable.Today, I watched four rabbits fight until one of them was bleeding (picture attached). I own rabbits and have spent a lot of time researching them. Once their hormones start to kick in, they become territorial - especially males. The rabbits in this section were chasing each other in circles, pulling out fur, and running over every guinea pig in their path - and they were significantly bigger than the guinea pigs. A person watching the rabbits fight alongside us decided to go inside and save/tend to the rabbit. There were no employees around so she took matters into her own hands, bless her, and I understand that it was busy and the employees can't stand around at the front their entire shift but that's just one more reason you should not display these animals in the way that you do. The risk of them getting into fights/injuring each other is extremely high, and not always having someone around to break up these fights could prove fatal for the animals.God knows how many times this has happened. Because of how big they were and how much they were fighting, I assume they're around 4-6 months old, give or take. At this point, anyone who knows rabbits knows they should be separated until they're fixed. I could continue writing this for days, but I'll leave it at this: I am very disappointed in your store's disregard for your animals' health. I sincerely hope you fix it, and until you do I will make sure everybody I know hears this story. Hopefully they'll be as disgusted by these events as I am.

I have now purchased a couple dogs from Pets R Inn. One from Gf and one from Fargo. The staff can tell you about the breeders, what shots they've had, and what they will need for a long healthy life!

Animals for adoption are not well cared for. I adopted a cat from here recently and when he was taken to be seen for a general exam at the vet, he had a few health concerns. Crazy pricing for animals that aren’t even taken care of at the place!

The puppies there are absolutely adorable. But they started $800 and go up. I don't believe in buying from breeders anyhow so I'll stick with the shelters.The prices seem pretty high but I guess it's because they're in the mall. And the friendliness is.... Well okay I guess.

I visit this pet store frequently as I walk alot in the mall...just to swing in and check out the pups! Staff seem to truly love the animals and care highly about the animals best interest. On a side note I have witnessed more customers than I can count get highly offensive when asking to take puppies out to be "played" with; and staff ask about the customers interest in purchasing. I don't think this is fair as it is not a petting zoo and there are multiple times the store is packed. Its just my opinion, but with many years of owning animals, babies need their sleep and definitely can't be pulled out every 5 min someone just wants to play with them. I am sure it is at times very hard to know how sincere a customer is being when wanting to see pups up close. I have also witnessed customers scream at staff when they are refused service, a couple times on puppies and "even" rodents. I can honestly say this is a place that would rather get a lashing than place an animal in a sketchy situation.I'd give the place more stars if I could.Treat each other kindly.

I just purchased a 10 week old rat terrier puppy from Pets R Inn and everything was fantastic! The staff were very knowledgeable and super friendly and overall great people. They told me all about the puppy, what she's been eating and how often and sent me home with everything I needed to make sure my puppy grows to be a healthy adult dog. All of the paperwork was sent home with me with copies of everything and the puppy was up to date on shots. Great experience.

Great place to find Dogs that are from good lines. They have great employees, great schedule of dog arrivals, you can have one on ones with dogs or cats or other animals you are interested in. It's my families first stop when we go to the mall and it always makes us happy!

Recently purchased a 8week old female Shiba Inu from these guys. Love her. She's an awesome puppy and 15 weeks old now ( had 5 dogs over past 40yrs.) The staff was wonderful, helpful, and super friendly. I would definitely recommend them.

Just came in to look at purchasing a puppy and saw a poodle I really liked. However when asked to see the dog to see how it did with my toddler the lady seemed annoyed and said I could only see the dog if I was gonna buy it and was hesitant to even show me. I just said nevermind and left.

DO NOT BUY PETS HERE. They're a puppy mill. There's a very little chance the dog you'd get here is actually what they say it is. Learned that the hard way myself. Please just go adopt, for a quarter of the prize. Animals in a rescue shelter are even taken better care of than the dogs in their glass boxes.

Wish the staff would explain the temperament of the dogs and if it's a good fit for your situation. We purchased a jack/rat and she's a little hyper but we still love her! We will purchase another dog soon but will do a little more digging next time.

They usually have quite a selection of puppies and other small animals. Have never purchased a pup or animal but they seem well looked after and clean.

I got my Purebred Shih Tzu on November 22, two years ago! She is a 8 pound darling with two different colored eyes. I can't imagine life without her! They were very friendly and let me spend a great amount of time with her before making my choice. I love this store and will 100% buy a pooch from them again!!!😁

Friendly staff, generally knowledgeable, puppies/kittens are in small viewing areas but I have seen staff take them out and play with them frequently and they keep them with fresh food and water as well as clean often. They do carry frozen mice/rats for reptiles as well but can take a while for their supplier to get them to the store so call before hand to check sizes available.

I have two pups from this store! They are great with the animals and truly care about their well being. They are acknowledgable and want what's best for the animals. Not many people understand the pressure the staff is put under to make sure the animals go to the right home, make the costumers happy and make sure the puppies are healthy. This store does a great job!
