Ben from Curt’s Lock and Key was awesome! I had several locks and handles from four different doors, that needed replacement and/ or various work, and he went the extra mile to explain things to me, find parts that were hard to find, and to settle my over enthusiastic dog while he was here. The workmanship was super and Ben was so professional and kind as were Todd and the rest of the Curt’s Lock and Key staff! I would highly recommend this company!

Went in to order a replacement fob for my car, fully expecting to pay over $150. The young man helping me out asked if I was fine with just getting a new jacket for the key. Paid only $27 and it works like a charm. Curt's lock and key never let's me down!

I'm not impressed with my experience with this company. I was on the turnaround with them multiple times getting told about different prices and what is available and what is not. Very unorganized and unprofessional. After I received my keys for my car from them, one set didn't work. I was forced to drive to their office if I wanted it fixed. They quoted me for the wrong type of car so I paid almost double the original price. After admitting they told me the wrong price, they did nothing to fix it. All in all, don't do business here.

Very mixed services over the last few years. Today’s service finally made me post a review.Flashback to a couple weeks ago, I purchase a Mazda pickup that comes with two basic house key style keys. I got a car key cut for it that says “Ford” on it for $4 and change total. Not a bad price at all. Because I’m OCD, I purchase one from an online retailer that has a Mazda logo on it as Curt’s didn’t offer it.Once I receive the Mazda logo key, I bring it in to Curt’s to be cut. A different guy is working, a younger guy with a cap on, glasses, a thin blonde mustache, and a bit of a tinny voice. I ask him if he can cut the key. He asks if the vehicle is outside so he can test it. Understandable request, but the truck is in the shop. I tell him this and he develops an attitude with me. I also tell him there’s no chip or anything in the key, and the previous key they cut came from the same key, so I have high hopes of it working.I’m surprised he was able to focus long enough to cut my key with all the nagging and bossing around of the other team members there he did. It was quite unprofessional to say the least. Then I was charged $10 for “general labor” for a 15 second key cutting. The math isn’t matching when it costs $4 for a key blank AND cutting for one of theirs.Idk. They’re the best locksmiths and key cutters in the area, but the competition isn’t that heavy. I have very mixed feelings about them. Hence the 3/5 rating.

I wish I could share a review of their services, but both of the times that I have called the woman that answered made it clear that she knows nothing about the pricing or anything, which is really weird.If I worked there, I would care about that information so I could make the customer's call actually helpful, but not at Curt's.The techs have always been busy, and I never get a call back for a quote. All i want to know is a price, and if they have the right key fob on hand to get a new one programmed, but I guess that has been too much to ask of them.

Very knowedgeable and helpful tech. Had to drill bolts to remove broken knob. Was very careful using blanket and vacuum to make sure no shavings made it to my carpet. After knob was removed he knew exact model I needed to buy to replace it with the exact same knob. Very reasonably priced.

After repeated trips back to this business, I hope I never have to go back. The service was ok - but they had very little knowledge on the keys I had (motorcycle keys) I live an hour away and called ahead of time to make sure they had blanks and they said they had a pile of them. I show up and they had no idea what I was talking about or any blanks for me. Ok, so I ordered blanks off the internet and brought them in at a later date. My boyfriend went and got 3 keys cut and it cost him $15. I went to get two more cut and it cost me $40? Ridiculous.

I had originally went with KeyMe because of the reviews and just needed my car unlocked as the battery was dead and the key inside my keyfob wouldn't unlock the lock cylinder. They couldn't get a tech out and even though I'll get refunded, now I'm out that much until the pending charge falls off; incredibly inconvenient and counterproductive, because I still had to get my car unlocked. I went thru Kurt's Lock and Key - they were half the price ($75 compared to $145) and didn't charge a dime until the job was completed. The gentleman working that day was there within about 2 hours (was on another call) and was in and out in 10 minutes. Even helped me jump my vehicle's battery! I wish I remembered his name, but I know it starts with a D! Give your service to Kurt's and help a local business. Customer service, cost, and service are FAR superior.

Would give less than one star, if that was an option. Called to set up an appointment for the installation and re-keying of three entry door locks and the phone conversation with the receptionist/Admin Assistant was the most rude response I've had in a long time. Maybe this place is too busy for new customers and/or it was too late in the afternoon for her to be taking a phone call. Unbelievably rude customer service. (Guess what, Curt's Lock and Key. Maybe you're not the only locksmith in town??) Thanks for wasting someones time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Great same day service with very reasonable cost. These guys fixed my old car ignition problem that I had for over a year. Starting my car is so easy now thanks to the pros at this shop. I highly recommend this place. Amazing service!

I had an amazing experience with these people. I needed their service for a new programmed key for an F150, and they did everything in their power to make that happen. I was in a spot where i needed to halt the work, and needed them to wait an extra day, and they did with no added fees, even though they had to come out twice. Devyn, who worked with me, did an amazing job, and was even willing to help my car's battery by giving it a jump. He was friendly, and answered all questions I had for him. I could not have asked for better service. This was an amazingly helpful store, that helped me when i needed them.

Ben did an outstanding job of installing a deadbolt. Could not have been a more professional installation. My daughter's front door needed a dead bolt lock. Ben also noticed that the original front door lock needed repair also of which he did. The black dead bolt lock matches perfectly with the black metal door. Ben is a perfectionist and so thankful he installed the lock. When I first went into the business to ask about purchasing a deadbolt, the owner could not have been kinder and explained the lock world to someone who had no clue. He was courteous and patient with myself and I was educated, treated with kindness and patience. Great Service and Really quick. My son lost the keys to his scooter and had a spare that only worked to unlock the storage compartment. They had the right blank and cut me 2 new keys in less than 10min for $10 that actually work. I like easy.

Purchased a 2019 Toyota Highlander with push button start. It only had one key FOB. Curt's made one for about $200. Dealar wanted more than twice that amount.. works great.

Ben came to my just-purchased house on-time and prepared. He listened to all my concerns about the front door, back door and garage door locks, providing good insight and recommendations. He carefully and happily replace all locks, using care to ensure strikers were adjusted correctly and everything worked. I would recommend him to anyone.

All in all a very welcoming staff and owner at Curts. It's not often anymore that you going through business anymore where everybody seems to be on top of their game and happy to be there. I had purchased a couple of insert box for commercial door and somehow managed to mess them both up ended up having to have a young gentleman named Ben come over and give it the professional repair only an experience locksmith could contribute. I will now leave these locksmiths to their trade and stick to my own. I could have saved myself 60 or 70 bucks and a lot of time. Ben was not too hard on me about my inexperience of working with locks he just took care of it in very professional timely manner and reasonably priced thank you Ben and thank you Curts lock and key.

Answered all of my questions about why my ancient 20 year-old Cirrus' ignition wasn't turning with good keys. Laid out my options with zero sales push. Even described how to do some maintenance myself when I indicated I was comfortable working on cars. He went out and tested the key on my vehicle himself before charging me. Advised that it was going to be more expensive because he used a particular machine (since my key's teeth were worn down and he couldn't copy exactly from that), apolgetic almost -- and then charged me $12.00. Excellent experience, highly recommend.For purposes of detail, my car's ignition wasn't turning because after 20 years of dust and dirt getting in the tumblers, the mechanism doesn't have room to really move. In addition ...Chrysler's gonna Chrysler. Curt's actually have like 10 Chrysler Cirrus keys mounted up on the wall; key issues are common with them I guess!

I had my ignition changed out and was not able to start my vehicle because the alarm kept going off and I lost the FOB. I called CL&K's and talked on the phone with one of the techs who gave me instructions on how to by-pass this free of charge! I guess I could have googled it but the person who tried to bypass this previously said he couldn't get it to work so I just assumed I needed a FOB. Thank you SO much! Tough times right now financially, which I did not mention to the tech. He was just really cool and really kind! Support this business whenever you can!Service: New key fob creation

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They helped me with my antique full mortise lock. Parts are obsolete for this thing and it would have been easy to just dismiss me, but instead, they helped me to find a good workaround for a missing piece. In my time there, i watched them quickly help many customers doing some things that only a good locksmith can do. A lot of places have key cutting machines, but this place is where I will be going from now on with anything I need involving a lock and key.
