Staff is always friendly and selection is the best in town if you’re serious about running.

Very friendly and inviting staff from the second I walked in! I was immediately helped by staff. I came in to look for some new shoes, giving them the details that were important to me, and asking me follow up qualifying questions, they steered me right to a pair that fit all my needs. I was able try on the shoes and was helped to check that the fit was proper and comfortable. They also helped me find a few fall running accessories that I needed as well. This store, and it’s staff came highly recommended to me, and I would absolutely in turn highly recommend them to the next person! Shop and support local, and give them an opportunity to help you with any of your running gear needs!!!!!

Shout out to Beyond Running in Fargo for customer service!Got a pair of Gortex Nike Trail shoes for Christmas. Awesome running/everyday shoes that are waterproof and fit like a glove the minute you put them on. My second pair after completly wearing out the tread over time on my first pair.Stitching broke on the Christmas pair and padding got loose. Brought it back today and Jake, the manager, replaced them free.Really great and knowledgeable staff. Love the shoes and shopping businesses that put customers first.

I wear a size 13 narrow. Beyond Running is able to find shoes for me that fit very well. They found a pair of hiking boots for me that I just love. They fit great! I just wish they also carried dress shoes. Thank you Jacob!

Helpful, non-judgmental advice is so important in making running accessible, and Beyond Running absolutely nails it! I think it took literally 15 minutes of working with the employee who helped me to find several perfect shoes. I wasn’t quite ready to commit to a specific pair yet, and that didn’t change his attitude at all. After countless trips to Beyond Running/Outermost Layer, I can definitively say that the employees here really are just here to help. I can’t fully express how fantastic that is, and I’ll gladly go out of my way to recommend them to anyone remotely interested in getting outdoors and/or being active more often.

Went there looking for professional feedback on the type of shoes that would be ideal for me and my type of running. I received that from Jason and Sally. Jason gave me honest feedback and could have easily sold me a pair of shoes (I was ready to buy) but I didn't need a new pair at the moment. I appreciated his time and advice without the pushy sales approach. Nice store with friendly people. Will definitely buy future running shoes/attire from this place!

This is a great running store. They really cater to the runner, whether you are a marathon runner or just beginning your first run. The staff are very knowledgeable and provide lots of advice and suggest choices for all your running needs. They play a great role at Fargo Marathon too.

I’m surprised that all the reviews on here are so positive. Granted all the workers I’ve met here have been nice but it’s hard to make up for the rudeness of the owner (I’m assuming he is the owner anyway [the gray-haired guy in the middle of the picture of the crew]). Every time I’ve been in here he has just been extremely unhelpful and short, with a ‘if you’re not going to buy it right now, leave’ kind of attitude. Customers don’t deserve to be treated like that. Everyone else, keep up the good work!

The best shoe shopping experience I've ever had.My old pair of tattered athletic shoes from college were way past their useful life, so I decided to check out Beyond Running for a new pair of nice running shoes.I walked in, walked over to the shoes, and was greeted warmly. The sales associate asked how often and where I run, my foot size, and then she asked me to take off my shoes. She just looked at my feet for a couple seconds, walked into the back, and, like magic, found the perfect pair! The price was beyond reasonable, and this summer I've been running on clouds. Excellent customer service! <3 These winter boots are the warmest, most comfortable, long-lasting, sturdy, & stylish boots I have ever worn! I had gotten so used to buying men's boots for the sturdiness, that I was very surprised to find such awesome winter boots for women! I balked at the cost at first, but I have saved so much money by buying boots that actually last! This place will definitely have repeat business from me! <3 In fact, I'll probably stop by soon for a good pair of running shoes. :D

I was having issues with my feet going numb and burning during a workout. No one I had talked to elsewhere had any clue--these guys did! Shoes too small! They helped me find a great pair (I have wide, big feet). The runners trailing in at the end of their group run were also very friendly--no clique or judgment (I'm not the most athletic person in the world haha). Everyone was friendly and welcoming; I will never go elsewhere for a pair of work out/running shoes!!!

Was referred to Beyond Running from a friend. Knew I wanted a new pair of running shoes but also knew I'm not an expert. The staff helped me out and explained in detail the differences between various shoes. Ultimately I found a pair that I am very happy with which was the goal. Will be going back!

This is the place to go for knowledge, selection, and a staff that cares that you like the shoes that you get. They live running. They took a quick look at my walk/gait/stride and gave me their best idea of which brand would best fit my foot, also told me I could test the shoes on a treadmill (somewhere clean) and exchange them if they didn't work out.Check out their Filthy 5k race for a great local muddy fun good time, maybe even get your team name on their trophy!

Great store. It's open and nicely laid out. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The West Fargo location has a nice outdoor patio and gathering space inside - very cool.
