Great little place for fast food and desserts with some creative, unique options. According to the sign, they’ve been operating since the late 1800s! Seems to be family-owned. They have a drive-thru, a call-ahead pickup ordering service, an outdoor window, and a small indoor dining area and order window. They have all the standards of ice cream desserts plus smoothies, apple fritters, and homemade rhubarb-sour cream pie (OMG, it was good!). Burgers, fries, fried chicken, and chicken sandwiches make up most of the rest of the offerings. There’s not much for breakfast (just a chicken patty/waffle sandwich). The chicken looked good but I didn’t get a chance to try it. Fried foods tasted clean/crisp like they maintain their oil well. The kitchen was really clean and well organized. The staff is friendly, particularly the mother that seems to handle most of the business.

We have been hearing about The Freeze for a long time, and never get a chance to stop on our way through Edgeley for some reason or another. That ended today! We were helped by one of the best young customer service representatives imaginable (seriously, I’d hire him) who guided us through the extensive menu of creative REAL ice cream treats. When Linda made us our treats, a Love Potion Parfait for me, and a small sundae with strawberry sauce and unicorn sprinkles for my daughter which were both made to picture perfection, we discussed their pie…. She said she didn’t have anything to cut into pieces yet because she just made it and I was glad because I wanted the whole SOUR CREAM RHUBARB PIE for my sisters birthday. (Sour cream pie and Rhubarb pie are her favorite and I found out when we ate it that she’s never even heard of Sour Cream Rhubarb pie. I hadn’t either.). What an amazing pie. Phenomenal. For the amazing ice cream or pie or service, you can’t go wrong here. Check it out!

Excellent! Great food, not your typical fast food at all, very tasty creations. Unusual find for a small town!And their Rhubarb pie is nothing short of amazing.Everyone has been so nice there and you always get a smile with your order.

The Freeze is a great little drive thru location! It has all the traditional things like burgers and fries while also not being afraid to branch out with things like chicken fried steak sandwiches or mac and cheese bites! Everything is always fresh and hot and don't even get me started on the desserts! They have so much to offer from pie to shakes to sundaes and slushies you could come here for only dessert and still have a huge selection! The service is great, fast and friendly which is often missing at Chain restaurants.If you're making your way through town or even live locally, definitely give The Freeze a try!

Well worth the trip, not far off the beaten path. Never been here before....on our way from northern North Dakota heading to South Dakota and called in our order. We will DEFINITELY be returning!

The worst experience ever will never be back didn't even taste the food.I guess asking y I had to pay extra for a bottled diet soda when a drink is included in my combo. I was told there are 5 other kinds I could have for fountain pop cuz they were out of diet in fountain drinks so I padded and waited a long time to get yell at by the lady working. Will never be back.

Lots of ice cream flavors/toppings you can't find anywhere else. Banana cream shakes are amazing. Rhubarb shakes are too.
