Disappointed and Disillusioned: A Cautionary Tale of Veterinary NegligenceI cannot in good conscience recommend the veterinary services provided by Casselton Veterinary Service. My recent experience with them has left me deeply disappointed and questioning their competence and professionalism.During my initial visit a few weeks ago, I brought in my precious kitten for a routine wellness check and booster shot. Despite being informed that my kitten was a rescue and providing all necessary information, the veterinarian failed to save her records from the rescue organization. This lack of attention to detail was concerning but unfortunately just the beginning of my ordeal.Today, I returned to the clinic for an additional booster shot, only to have my worst fears realized. The incompetence of the staff led to my kitten receiving a second rabies shot unnecessarily. It wasn't due until February of next year, ten months from now, as clearly indicated in the records I had provided. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation immediately, I was met with resistance and argumentation from the front desk staff. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they wasted precious time disputing the facts with me.By the time they finally acknowledged their error and attempted to rectify it, it was already too late. My innocent kitten had already been subjected to an unnecessary and potentially harmful procedure. Shockingly, not once did the veterinary staff offer a sincere apology for their mistake. To add insult to injury, I was still required to pay for their negligence, further highlighting their lack of accountability.After four years of loyalty to this clinic, I am appalled by the lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and empathy displayed by the staff. The fact that they failed to save my kitten's paperwork, overlooked crucial details, and disregarded my concerns speaks volumes about their commitment to providing quality care.In conclusion, I have no choice but to seek alternative veterinary care for my beloved pets. This experience with Casselton Veterinary Service has shattered my trust and left me deeply disillusioned. I urge others to exercise caution when considering their services, as the consequences of their negligence could prove to be devastating.

Our dog Tess needed some dental surgery to remove some teeth. The staff at Casselton Veterinary in the Casselton location were great. They put us at ease and detailed what they did and why afterwards. Tess is doing fine, no ill effects, no complications. We highly recommend them.

Great service, friendly people who got our dog in quickly for a spay (our normal vet, the Fargo location was booked too far for our needs as she needed spayed and went into heat sooner than expected). Definitely recommend you guys (both locations are fabulous)! We did have to get a second cone though as our girl s was rowdy and destroyed the first one 😅. This is her proud self in her new cone hahaha

My dog has cancer. We've been working with the lovely Sara LVT and Dr. Schmid. My Dia resource guards me (she's a German Shepherd) and they've made the extra effort to make friends with her. I'm so grateful for their compassionate care and kindness! Here we are in the waiting room before chemotherapy.I'll also add they're MUCH more reasonably priced than the only other option in the Fargo area.

I got my dog in for an urgent care appointment with Dr. Schmid and her vet tech Jenny. It was downright the best experience I have had at a vet from the first moment we walked in. She was very thorough in her exam (even though my dog isn't the best at sitting still), and made sure I felt reassured and educated on everything before we left. I will be switching to her as our primary vet, even with the 30 min drive to Casselton. Highly recommend!

Our experience - in short - was horrific. From the staff, to the multiple veterinaries we saw, there was nothing but incompetence displayed. While it was frustrating dealing with the rude staff, the veterinarians showed no compassion.The biggest issue we had was all the money and time we spent here was a complete wash - we ended up going somewhere else and finding the care she needed. Not only were the wrong tests ordered for my girl, but the continual errors regarding her treatment were discovered by a different veterinary office.While this is a personal experience, and everyone has a different experience - I will never be back.Trust, compassion, and knowledgeable staff is a basic necessity for a veterinary office to have; and unfortunately I don’t feel that Casselton has those qualities.Less than THREE months after finding Casselton’s continual errors caring for my girl - my girl was tired, and we ultimately had to help her pass to the rainbow bridge. I wonder if the result would have been the same if we had gone elsewhere.

We got our golden retriever spayed. The staff members were helpful and kind. Our dog came home in great shape and is extremely happy. You wouldn't even know she had something done except for wearing her cone. Reasonably priced as well. We will continue going to Casselton Vet for our animal family needs!

My vet recommended Casselton Vet as the tumor my 13 year old dog has is in a bad location. Candice, the tech, was so very kind and loving toward my dog, Toby. Dr Bartholomay was so friendly & kind to Toby & explained everything to me about the upcoming surgery. All the staff was great! I feel Toby will be in the best hands for his surgery, which will be the end of the month. I received great instructions for the medication Toby was put on by Candice. Thank you all for making us comfortable!!

We could not have been more pleased with our experience here. We had to put down our beloved 13 year old German Shepard and it was incredibly difficult. The staff here were so friendly, patient and calm. They gave us as much time as we needed and they were all so kind and genuinely caring. The atmosphere of the grief room made the experience easier as well with its calm atmosphere. Thank you so much for helping us with this most difficult process.

I really liked this clinic last year for my dogs yearly check up, this year it was rather unpleasant. The entire time it just felt like they were trying to upsell me. Be prepared to spend just about 300$ for all the stuff they make you do just for routine care for your pup. "Store policy" for supplying heart worm preventative pills is apparently also a 50$ yearly blood test even though you pay for a preventative all year as well. Telling me my dog is perfectly healthy and then just trying to get me to spend thousands of dollars is wild.

Thank you Casselton Vet for being so amazing! Front desk staff at this clinic are so refreshing. All were so kind and friendly. We had Natalie as a technician and she handled our grumpy senior dog with such grace. She was so informative and also has senior dogs so it was so nice to relate to her own stories. Dr. Thill was nothing but great! She really took the time to go over every detail with us. It was nice not feeling rushed out of there. I will always recommend Casselton. Thank you all for loving animals as much as you do. It shows.

Best vet in the area! The always care so much for my dogs. Oliver had ear problems recently and we were able to get in right away to get him checked out. The vet and tech were more than helpful in getting him treatment to make him comfortable and letting me know how to care for him. Can’t recommend Casselton Vet enough

We recently switched to Casselton Vet because they were highly recommended by our friends and family. The biggest thing for us is that at Casselton, they don’t have to “send in lab work” because they do it all there. Their prices are competitive and they are so nice to our animals. We have 4 dogs and a cat. Our cat was recently spayed there and they put a little pouch of catnip in her kennel. She was so calm and lovey when we picked her up. Would highly recommend!

Have heard through the grapevine that this is a great place to take your cat or dog and can tell you that it is true! My chihuahua needed surgery for a torn muscle and they did a great job explaining all the details on his surgery and recovery and working with him to loosen up stiff muscles afterwards. They genuinely care for every animal that co.es through their doors. I highly recommend them!

I work a weird schedule, so after my dog had been limping for over 10 days I decided it was time to take her in to be seen. I called around to 6 vets since ours was full and cassleton was the only one that could get her in the day I had some flexibility with work! They were so kind and explained everything so well and so gentle with our pup. Ran all the tests but also made sure to give me a quote beforehand so I knew the cost up front. The tech and vet were both sooo nice! We had a great experience.update:although I had a great experience in the clinic; I haven’t been able to get ahold of the doctor to talk further. calls and emails will no response is a bit disappointing.

Casselton Vet is simply amazing! The front desk staff are welcoming, courteous, and will do what they can to get you an appointment if one is needed. All of the providers are friendly, knowledgeable, and truly care for your pets. Prices are much more competative than in town. Simply put, I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else, even if it means driving out of town 20 miles in the winter :)

The doctors and staff at Casselton consistently provide a high level of customer service. I've taken four pets to Casselton over nearly twenty years, from first visits to end-of-life care, and they've been caring and professional. I won't take my pets anywhere else.
