I visited your store Thursday. I recently hurt my foot and using crutches. Your employee, Thomas, was so sweet and helpful. He got me a scooter ready, put my crutches up for safe keeping while I shopped, and followed me to my vehicle to take the scooter back. All the other employees just looked at me and went their own way. He deserves to be recognized in some way.

Good store. I go here often. I've never had a problem with their products or their employees. It's pretty clean too. 👍Prices are a bit high for those looking to save money. However, they have good sales going most of the time.This place is worth shopping at in my opinion.

I'm getting so I hate to go into this store, but unfortunately it's our ONLY local grocery store. But, just about every time I go into Food Lion in Yanceyville, I leave smelling like burnt grease from whatever they're cooking in the deli! It not only gets in my clothes, but it's very nauseating!🤢So, I have to strategically plan to shop either early in the morning or late in the evening. Also, it seems they're slipping in other areas, too! The refrigerator case where the chicken is apparently needs to be cleaned or they need to locate the rotten chicken! This morning, it STINKS like crazy!🤢 I told someone in the meat department and he just looked at me and said okay!?🙄 In produce, I found a couple bags of potatoes with a potato or two in each that were rotten to the point of mushiness!?😳 Today's experience with Food Lion made me glad that I'd gotten most of my groceries elsewhere this time, but just needed a few items there! It's bad enough that grocery prices are ridiculous everywhere, so stores could at least try to make the rest of your shopping experience pleasant! Yanceyville Food Lion PLEASE Do Better!!

My local store (for now). Cashiers are nice and friendly. If it's busy they're good about opening extra registers. Produce section is well stocked and maintained with a good variety, normally. Very helpful Assistant manager helped me when I locked my keys in my car- even though it was all the way over at the ATM across the parking lot! I slipped him a tip the next visit (and he tried to give it back). Staff interacts well with each other.

pretty average grocery store nothing special, most of the cashiers don’t speak hardly ever. But it’s the closest grocery store near me without just going to the walmart. would have given a 4 star rating but almost every time i go to get my kid’s favorite snack (strawberry applesauce) the shelf is disgusting and some of the packs have busted/leaked all over the rest of them so i don’t even bother with it at this point.

There are plenty of reasons Food Lion has been rated as the 8th worst chain in the U.S. I haven't bought much produce here at all because it's old when it arrives and rots in a day or two. If you want something that's actually good for you, you have to make the trip to Harris Teeter, Publix, or Wegman's. Wegman's produce section alone is as big as Food Lion's first two whole rows, freezers and all. Healthy choices? There almost aren't any at Food Lion. I just don't go in a Food Lion for anything more than desperation provisions. I will (and I have) passed three Food Lions, three Harris Teeters, and a Publix to get to a Wegman's for quality produce that lasts more a day or two and healthful alternatives to Food Lion's schlock.

Would have been 5 stars but there were fruit flies breeding in the red onions and roma tomatoes. I normally go to food lion for produce but this was my first visit to this store. I think they could do a lot better.

Take my mom to get groceries for her little fridge at Caswell House. They are so friendly and stand there waiting to open their checkout for you. Absolutely love shopping here with her

My experience at Food Lion was a pleasant.I found what I went in for. However I don't like the fact that food lion is tracking me down via e-mail to ask me how was my visit. If using the Food lion card for discount cause me to lose my privacy you can keep the discount. Stop tracking me

Sometimes small stores are just plain out better than the big discount ones. I love that I can still get personal service if I need it. Or complain and look stupid on the other hand too. Their store brands outdo others hands down.

This place is located by my mom's assisted living it's where I buy her groceries and little snacks to put in her refrigerator it's a very clean friendly store I wish they had a self-checkout though

I moved to Florida 2 years ago and everytime I come home to n.c. I shop at Food Loin in Yanceyville. Tha staff are so friendly and always willing to assist you in any way all you have to do is ask. It's always nice to come home to friendly faces.
