My friend and I took a surfing lesson from South End and we had the best time ever! The team was friendly and knowledgeable for an extremely reasonable price. They made sure we were having a great time and we did, after 1 h we were able to surf a few waves thanks to their help. Thank you again for the great time, this was exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend it to all surfing first timers!

Amazing service, extremely professional. They kept us safe!Staff discussed weather conditions and incoming storm with us, showed us recent lightning strikes and 10-mile radius rule for lifeguards. We decided not to rent today but had I stayed a day longer in town I would totally rent from that crew!! 🤙🏄🏼‍♀️

Nice selection of mens and womens clothing. Staff is friendly and allow you to browse without being pressured. We were able to talk advantage of a weekend sale they had going on. Would highly recommend!

Visiting Wilmington for the first time in a long time - long weekend for our anniversary.Went in to buy a hat and some flip flops and ended up meeting two really great shop employees (sorry I missed / forgot your names - I blame my age...).Anyhow, we briefly talked about the MD surf spots and NC surf spots and they couldn’t have been friendlier - told us about an event that night in the upstairs room if we were looking for something to do that night.After they rang us up, on the way out, the young lady shop employee told my wife, “Happy Anniversary!” Really nice touch.

Surfing is big business nowadays and has become pretty commercialized. South End has stayed true to the roots of the OG surf shops; 100% focused on their customers. Owner Jeff will do anything within reason to make the customers feel at home and get them out the door stoked.My 6 yr old son took their summer camp for a week and I highly recommend you or your kids do the same-great staff eager to pass on the stoke of surfing!PS don’t forget to grab a beer upstairs after your session.

It was my first time to Wrightsville Beach. I didn't bother bringing my board b/c of distance and not knowing what I was going to find for surf this time of year. The people at the shop were great and super customer focused. If I had to make a suggestion, I would say more of a selection for surfboard rentals (hard tops), but the suggestion to go with the soft top was a good one, and was a very fun time given the conditions. Thanks for the friendly and personable service!

Steve and Austin we absolutely great with my 5 year old son and twin 3 year old girls. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go with their ages but these guys were true professionals. They were patient with the kids and I felt like the kids were very safe with them.

Recently bought a board from these guys and I can vouche that they genuinely care on getting you the best gear and what suits your needs the most. We visited Wrightsville Beach for a couple of days in February of 2016. Walked the beach then came upon this jewel of a shop. We went in just to browse and exited with a Hand Plane for bodysurfing. The owner (Jeff) was helpful, interesting & personable. We'll be back if ever in WB.
