I thought good quality customer service was a thing of the past. Until a manager at this Food Lion store proved me wrong. While juggling her regular duties, Ms.Denise, went above and beyond to be super helpful in my time of need. So many people working in retail and customer service could learn a great deal about kindness and quality care from her. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service Ms.Denise! I don’t normally stop here but I needed cash back because I was omw to pay a vendor and they didn’t have $300 funky dollars in the cash register. It’s FOOD LION. I bet Publix would’ve had it.

Been shopping at this Food Lion in Wingate NC for 7-8years, unfortunately when the new manager stepped in about couple years ago everything went downhill from there- a bunch of items not being stocked, always OUT of something-like ice cream, cereal, dairy products, snacks, chips and soda. The employees that work there are great though but the management is more concerned about what they are doing than keeping up the store; which is crazy cause the employees that work there don’t need his oversight, they know what they are doing. The new management he is the one that needs oversight idk how he’s made it 2-3years to be honest but the the District Manager/the ones that oversee all stores. I quit going there because management has had more than enough time to maybe get it together, I was really hoping for a better outcome but I feel 2-3 years is plenty of time to figure out to get his self together and turn that store back around like it used to be. Sad part is they keep losing customers and they still don’t do anything about it. What a joke🤯 Lost another customer, ME. Guess I’ll go to ALDIs grocery store!

I've been shopping here for a while. This store isn't perfect, there have been errors like the one today( missing a rotisserie chicken in my pick up order) but every time it is very simple and they are very apologetic! The management always finds a way to make it right. They show so much class in the way they handle these situations and are always very respectful!

Bought a 12 oz pkg of Oscar Mayer Center Cut Bacon and at register realized it expired on 2/2/2023. I asked if I could go get another pack. When I went back, every pkg of Center Cut had a expiration date of 2/2/2023. The Bacon obviously isn't checked for dates as it has been expired for 2 weeks.

I love my food lion. I am sometimes in there 2 to 3 times a day have never had any problems with anyone. Everyone is usually so kind and helpful but tonight I was crazy and horrible. I went in the store at 9:53 P. M. Just to grab a pack of aspirin for my dad who has Heart problems and the manager was at the register he said we are closed I said but it's not time to close I have 6 minutes he got an attitude with me and was giving me dirty looks talking junk as if he was trying to impress the cashier. Another manager can up to me and asked what I needed to get so I told him he walked with me to get aspirin for my father and apologized the whole way to the aspirin and the whole way to the register. I told him it wasn't his fault and that they should fire the other manager and the other manager noticed I had said that and he told me I was nothing.. News flash I am someone I'm a customer who buy things at your store if it wasn't for customers who are nothing to him he would have no job.. So yes I told him he was nothing. I went on to tell him I come in there each day sometimes 2 or 3 times a day he said we'll I'm here every day. Who cares... Your in customer service act like it or get a new job..... Food lion should throw this guy to the curb he is horrible and he is giving my wonderful food lion in elongate a bad name.. He is no good. Rude and disrespectful...

The checkouts were full at 7:30 in the evening and the management rushed over to open another lane. Very pleasant. Average cleanliness. Careful at the traffic light when exiting because people on 74 run their red lights often.

This is my favorite store in my area , they are always well stocked with the items I need . Very friendly & helpful employees here . This store is clean , well organized , always stocked . Restrooms always clean . Deli & Bakery do a great job at this store , have ordered many cakes here & they are always moist & delicious & decorated beautifully . Deli always has great items to pick up for last minute meal or party etc.

Came to grocery shop just a few nights ago and a young woman was very rude with us . I believe her name was Alyssa, she was throwing our groceries around and just you could tell she was ready to go home . Also she snatched a bag of candy out of my 3 year old hands when i told her i would get them to ring them up . She even left a scratch mark . So i give this store 1 star because i feel like they could do better on attitudes . Other than that everyone else was great .

Love how well stocked this Food Lion is. The customer service is amazing. I wish this Food Lion was my home store, because my Food Lion at home is terrible as far as the cashiers are concerned.

This place is next to a college campus and refuses to use the western union system they advertise. My daughter needed gas money, so I sent it western union since it's walking distance from the school. They were extremely rude over the phone and I HAD TO DRIVE 2 HOURS to fill up her tank because they closed western union an hour and a half early and refused to open it back.Provide the service you advertise because our experience makes me want to give you zero stars. Friendly service? Yeah right.

I really appreciate the sanitizing measures provided. They have sanitizing spray and towels available for the customer to use on the cart selected, knowing that the cart is freshly sprayed down in addition to the procedures before hand.

Food Lion of Wingate is a plus for this chain. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will fry you a whole chicken to order. I love shopping here.
