Giving one star, because zero stars wasn’t an option. I’ve literally went to multiple stores and purchased the same Christmas item. Every store (about 5 stores) all adjusted the item, the holiday item did have Christmas trees on it, holiday wrapping and even said “holiday limited edition” on it meaning it was a holiday item that should’ve been .25 cent. Unlike the other 5 stores that corrected the price because it was obviously a holiday item, the cashier acted as if it was gonna literally impact her pay to price adjust the item. Good job, between shopping for my family & church donations I’m at dollar general 1-2x per week. She could’ve easily made the adjustment and choose not too. HIGGLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS DOLLAR GENERAL!

I kid you not after spending almost $100 in that particular store last night asked the lady hey how are you she answered back ok I said do you all have takis in stock she says I don't know you have to look for them maybe it's on the dollar isle I answered ok then I went to separate the items in the bag she says I can't let you take any bags management says we don't have any I then told her ma'am after spending all this money in this store you're telling me that management says I can't put my items in separate bags social media she packed my bags so that they were about to burst I lol and said I work at a place for part time I guess my management should do the same with your food you know they need to get back the old staff that had great and friendly retail communication skills we are not responsible for you not ordering bags so who are you to tell anyone thst is spending money in your store that I can only stuff all of your things into 3 bags and then they burst inside of the car all I want is my money back so now i guess you guys can haveyour bags back its always something with that location if you don't wato work dont show up i am in retail as well stay home if you cannot work with the public I went next door to family dollar where I had no problem with the same exact items so I will be returning everything that I purchased and you'll can just give me my money back

This little store must be suffering from short staff. Shelves very empty. Stock on carts and in totes everywhere. Very difficult to get by aisles. Trash all over parking lot. It is really too bad because it is a convenient, inexpensive place to pick up misc items. I will probably go into town next time. Unfortunate.

You can find a lot of things at this store. The staff is helpful and are friendly. The only complaint I have goes for most small variety stores. They have to stock during the day. No fault of the staff but the supply carts they bring stock out on takes up all walking space in the IslesIf you are on a walker or wheel chair Get help at Frount or shop else where.But the prices are BETTER than big stores

Nice enough as far as Dollar Generals go. The store clerk was nice enough and did not abstain from common courtesies and assisting me with any issues that I had with my purchase. The store itself has pretty common fare including but not limited to cards (playing, greeting, birthday etc.) Toys, foods (gas station foods), toiletries, and some general supplies for kitchen and home repair. And, of course, the checkout area was filled with candy :)

Good for grabbing the basics, snacks. Don't like how the employees take smoke break right at the entrance, sometimes sitting on the merchandise, having semi-loud conversations. They often look like they're just hanging.

I'm far from a "couponer", but do know basic math. I did my math before my store visit, and while in the store choosing my items. When the $5 off $25 did not come off my (grown) daughter's purchase, she inquired."Management" came, and pretty much said "oh well, guess it's not working". Mine didn't either. Retail is NOT so hard that she couldn't have applied the coupon manually. She instead huffed and puffed because she had to open another register and actually work for a couple minutes. Daughter contacted corporate, and now has a $10 off any purchase of $10 or more. Guess we will see how that goes. Not sure what happened to the whole concept of management being able to "manage".

If I could give negative stars I would! I walk in and ask for the restroom key, get told someone is currently using the restroom and I wait patiently for 5 minutes. Out comes a dollar general worker and she tells me the restrooms are out of order. I politely told her that the cashier (her manager) told me I could go after her. She immediately retorted with a hateful tone how her manager would never tell me that. So I go get the key from him, and I use the restroom,on my way out this same women is standing behind the counter recording me while calling me names. So much for southern hospitality!

A great place to shop in Wingate NC with convenient parking and located within a short distance from other popular shopping destinations such as a Grocery store, an ABC store and several Restaurants. Dollar General has a very friendly staff and excellent Managers

I love the Dollar General. They already displayed beautiful things for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Believe it or not, sometimes you can find good gifts at a very economical price. Check it out!

This DG is excellent! Friendly staff, helpful and knowledgable. Store is very clean and always well stocked...unlike some other Dollar Generals in the area.

Found some great deals along with the Dollar General app. The app made it easy to know what the final tally would be and it helped me find some coupons on what I was buying.

Manager and employee very rude, came to purchased a detergent and use one coupon and made comments to each other about me and kept laughing with customers in line, very unprofessional, I have a special need child and any dollar I save is good to my pocket, they don't know my situation and I got, stress, mad and depressed over their comments when they do not know people situations.
