Historic Downtown is dead and run down. Whirligig Park and Master Brewer's are the only open spots. Most commercial real estate is available for leasing.

Another wonderful small town in North Carolina worth taking the time to visit. One of the signature items is the Whirligigs around town and the Whirligig park. I stopped into the fish restaurant next to the Whirligig park, last visit, for a nice lunch. I also always like to stop into the old time hardware store as well.Got kids or are a kid at heart, make sure to check out the Imagination Station in town. Looking for some unique home decor you will find several shops to serve you in downtown.I have had the privilege of meeting a number of the good people working with the Historic Downtown Wilson and you need to check out their website for more information.
