Best grooming service! MaKayla has been so wonderful with my dog! Not only she does a fantastic job, but she is so loving to my pup! He used to be so unhappy after his Petsmart grooming that it would take him a couple of days to get back to normal and now he is just happy right away! What a difference! I know he is very much cared for. Thank you MaKayla for doing such an amazing job ❤️

Upon arrival for an appointment, the groomer stated that she could not groom our dog since he had recently received shots. That's understandable. The annoying part was that the groomer criticized the previous cut. I have recently purchased my dog and can't help the way the previous owner had his hair cut. All I wanted were nails clipped and a light trim. That's the beauty of being an owner, you can keep the dog groomed how you want. As long as the dog is healthy I don't see the issue. After being asked if I wanted to reschedule...that's a big no for me.

Called with a couple questions about a stray I had found that was adopted out through them. I talked to a girl named Jenna on the phone. She was very rude, and no help. Take your business elsewhere unless you want to be talked down to.

Big variety of everything for every animal. We recently received a guinea pig & found a nice habitat that has more of a furniture astheic i was wanting than a cage. I think she's pretty large for a guinea pig & was told at other stores they didn't make balls large enough for her but found a 36in in stock. Overall we'll go back. Pricing wasn't cheap but did have some sales if you have a normal animal lol

This place is horrible and must not have any leadership in the store. No wonder there stock is trading so low. I went in to find stuff for my dog and I had to go to the counter to get any assistance only to interrupt the lady on her phone texting. She told me 4 rows that my products could possibly be. It was the same area I just came from and it was not even in the place I was at. The store is a mess and nothing showed what the pricing was for any product because it was a mess. When I went to check out 5 people walked to the front. No one offered to help check out the line of people. One finally did and she pulled a phone out of her bra in front of me. That was very unprofessional. Then when I asked the price. She picked the product up and slammed them on the counter as I was inconveniencing her. She had an attitude the entire time like she did not want to be there. This is a horrible store and I will never go back. Do yourself and go to PetSmart. It maybe more inconvenient and you probably will not get any additional help. But, at least you can find stuff in the store. I assume this store will go the way of bed bath and beyond and will eventually go away. Even Amazon is a better experience than this store! Someone needs to replace the entire staff here and get people who care!

Be careful if you go in there and want to hold a hamster and kiss them because they’re so cute. They clean their cages once a week and this is the condition they have to live in. Unfortunately it won’t allow me to upload the pictures that I took which were excrement everywhere and the house and wheel piled up on top of each other.

I made a purchase with Petco back in December. I went to return the products the next day but the cashier refused my return. I placed the items on the counter and left. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and Petco fought the chargeback despite the fact that I returned the product to the store unopened and undamaged and took a picture of the cashier in possession of the products. Worst customer service from any pet store I've been to.

I had a situation and needed a new tank for my turtle ASAP. I placed my order online, and it was ready in an hour. When I got there to pick it up, Brenden at the register quickly grabbed my order and found a manager so that they could get it into my car for me! There was no way I could carry a 40gal tank by myself, and was fully prepared to figure something out with a shopping cart. Thank y'all so much! I was so stressed that day, and it was so kind for y'all to carry that out to my car for me!

On Friday I took my sweet Golden Doodle to be groomed. She was happy and healthy but had a few mats behind her ears. I gave permission to cut her close if necessary. I picked her up and she was completely shaved. Groomer said that she will shake her ears/head for a couple of days because of the blood vessels that have “resurfaced” from removing the mats. This was on Friday.I called Petco on Sunday night. I spoke with the manager and let him know that I would be taking Charley to the vet on Monday. She was bleeding still from her ears, she has razor burn under most of her stomach and legs. She is constantly flapping her ears. I’m assuming and guessing not only was she shaved way to close but that the grooming tools were dirty and unsanitary. He understood and to talk to him after the vet appointment.My poor pups ears are infected and the razor burn is sever. I’ll try to post pictures. This should have never happened. The groom and tip was $150. The vet bill $199. However, to see my 1 year old sweet girl in so much pain I had to let others know to do your homework.

My son and I took a little road trip to Wilmington and we brought his puppy. We stopped at the Petco there and we were greeted by Kellie L. She was so friendly and asked if we wanted the puppies nails trimmed and a bath. She was so good with him and he came out smelling so nice and his nails were trimmed. She gave us some tips which were appreciated. Other employees were helpful as well. Ben helped us with a price check and stopped to talk to the puppy. We had a great experience there and would really like a Petco in Jacksonville because their selection of everything was extensive.

We had to exchange the food my fiancé bought for our puppy- he got chicken and she does not tolerate it. I had called ahead to make sure yall the the brand/protein we needed, and the clerk had it brought up to the register. When we arrived, we were helped immediately at the front counter with expedient and friendly service. Thank you!

I went on Cyber Monday to pick up some items in store and Elyse was so sweet in helping me answer questions and find what I was looking for. It was great to get wonderful customer service even though it was super busy. My dog Pumpkin also enjoyed the extra pets and attention. Thanks for making the holidays easier!

This place is awesome and Jenna was super helpful in helping me find a home for my daughters pet rats. All the employees here seem to be super nice and really into animals. I would highly recommend if looking for pet supplies or if you are looking to purchase or adopt a pet.

Awful experience. I drove 30 minutes to drop my dog at his appointment and waited around for 3 hours when I get a call saying they can’t wash my dog and I took him home with no services done. Didn’t give me a discount for future appointments or anything. Very unprofessional and I will not be going back to Tammy at Petco. She said they were really busy that day so I’m guessing that’s why they didn’t wash my dog but gave the excuse that he was afraid of the blow dryer. Dont they blow dry after the appointment when the dog is already washed? The whole experience was just awful, from the customer service to not offering any solution for us. Will not be going back.

Im sad to write this bc normally I have a good experience here. My receipt says that I was helped by Emily but I didnt look at this person's name tag so its possible she was using someone elses numbers for the register. If youre facing the registers she was on the left register and it was 4:03pm when it happened if youre interested in finding out who it was. She was just very dismissive and rude. Rolling her eyes at me whenever I said anything to her. She got annoyed when I asked a question about returns and just said she didnt know and the woman checking people out next to her answered for her. I think that maybe she would be better suited for stocking on the floor then register because she isnt a nice person. You have to have a certain attitude when you work with customers. Its not hard to just be pleasant. Idk ive worked in customer service my whole life and if I was a manager id pull her off the registers and put her on the floor bc that was the worst experience ive ever had at your store. Usually everyone is so kind and she was just rude. I would totally understand if I had been acting rude to her but i maintained my own customer service voice and attitude the whole time even when she was rolling her eyes at me for speaking and existing.

Honestly is very upsetting to see the way these animals are treated. I stopped in to get a snail for my betta tank, the employee who helped me was very rude, he chucked the snail into the bag, as soon as I got home to put the snail in the tank he ended up dying 5 mins later, and not to mention when I was looking in the tank with the snails, I noticed a dead African dwarf frog and let the employee know, he said “I know” and just continued to let it stay there. All the animal cages just seem not well maintained, animals are not handled nicely, and half of the staff has no customer service skills whatsoever.

They have the pet supplies that I need at a decent price for pet supplies. I will however suggest that some "pet" items are available for a lot less at other places when not branded for pets. Example...puppy pads are a lot cheaper when you buy human adult pads at other discount stores.That said, staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. The store is well stocked. That alone is worth 5 stars.

I'd offer a 10, if prices could match PerSmart. A pet carrier (necessary to ALL pet owners), was lots more expensive at your store. THAT SAID: The staff there is PHENOMENAL❣️❣️❣️ Especially, Brandon!!! I never recall names... ha... He was just an angel in helping me. AND, he was dead right, in his info (per my Vets recommendations regarding the wheatgrass)!!! I have loved this store for many yrs, and we had to move during Covid (losing it all), but JUST RETURNED LAST WEEK!!!!!!!! Hope the store continues on helping and offering great products! THANK YOU!!!

I'm away from home and ran out of dog food at my mom's house. Joshua was very helpful in finding the most similar food. Since I won't be able to slowly transition to a new food, he asked me the brand and found a similar tier, matched the protein, the right size package I needed... All the right questions and I was in and out quickly (since my mom had my human puppies in the car). I was very pleased with his knowledge and customer service.

Terrible experience. Came into grab a couple things and I heard yelling went to take a peek and see what was going on and it was some guy saying he was the GM and yelling at a customer. Saw the lady in parking lot crying in her car. Don’t know what happened but no one should be yelled at and belittled that way in public.

I'd give no stars if that was possible, I bought two litter boxes today. Jessica scanned the large one twice, when I protested that the other box was smaller she denied my claims and stated. "It only comes in one size" So naturally I had to come home and take measurements, Which are attached below... in short do not give these scam artists your business because they can't even bother to price your item's correctly and then you get overcharged. Please take your business to pet smart, or even pet warehouse in Jacksonville, the extra drive is worth it. So in short thank you Jessica for making me never want to shop at your establishment ever again.With love, Chill ~<3

The animal care in this establishment scares me almost every time I visit. Unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Pet stores should not be allowed to get away with improper care. The animals deserve better so please do better!

Absolute WORST experience at a PetCo. Drove an hour to the Wilmington store for a dog crate when the website said there was multiple available for pickup at this location. When we arrived, there was one on a shelf, VERY visibly used and ripped. When we asked Benton for help, he wasn’t the least bit concerned that this item was in this condition on the shelf and kept saying “that’s not my decision to make” when we asked why this was not inspected. When we asked if there was any in the back, he said “that website is rarely accurate” and that what is on the shelf is the only merchandise that’s available. Never apologized for the major inconvenience. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I attached the pictures of the crate that PetCo decided was in “sellable” condition. Do not come here.

Great selection of dog supplies .The prices are a bit high, but they have the things that I need for my companion canine .I asked about a veterans discount;; but they told me that they don't offer one .I think that SUCKS !!!
