The store is well stocked and clean, but their associates are not friendly to everyone.They personally pick who they are friendly to,and to whom they make feel welcome,and that's not right, because every customer are the reason for their paychecks,and without customers,the store owners wouldn't have any need for their services.

Advertised prices are only with their loyalty program. Prices without the card are unreasonably high. If you don't have a card, go to a gas station and you will save money.

I love food lion wing but this location has yet to have a managed hot bar. They have continuously failed at lunchtime.

Again went into the foodlion and of course there are no registers open there are at least 10 foodlion employees in the store just standing around chatting its self check out only, so I asked the girl at self check out if they would open a register she replied no, then I called the store manager who said there main goal was customer service yet doesn't have anyone train on a register so foodlion has no customer service there store is dirty there is stuff everywhere in the walk ways I will be call there corporate office Monday morning this not the first time it's every time at just this one location

Long lines go quickly here, I always see a manager or 2 when it's busy, I like that. Online coupons and discount mvp card is great, I've saved $175 this year so far. Clean bathrooms the couple times I've used them, stocked and everything. Usually good selections of meat and produce. Some items I choose to get elsewhere because of pricing, but it's mostly for non food items or bread, and cases of water. I shop around but this is the most cost effective/ ease of shopping experience in my home area. I've attached some photos of a few meals and products ive gotten from here. Keep up the great work Food Lion employees!

I was in last night which was a Friday night around 7:45/8. It was when I was able to go do some much needed grocery shopping. The store was very busy. I made my way to checkout and there was not one regular lane open…only self checkout. I asked the young female if there was a lane open and she looked at me and my buggy and said no not right now. As soon as I started self checkout….literally maybe scanned 2 items… she proceeded to open a register. She was very eager to help people with several less items than I. I normally PREFER self checkout … but with the amount I had to get this trip, I really preferred assistance. Within a short minute … another employee came up and stood behind me almost as watching to make sure I rang everything up. (So it felt to me) SEVERAL customers were able to get in and out very promptly while again… I was trying to accommodate scanning all my items, bagging them, and placing in the buggy. AGAIN, I normally prefer self checkout and I understand being short staffed. However, please tell me how much sense it makes to not have any open registers on a Friday night and then to basically feel like I didn’t want to be serviced by my quantity of items? No one has to watch me as I’m an honest person….But Food Lion needs to be an honest business and have availability to well paying customers….or at least offer a discount if no one is to work a register during a heavy populated day/time. I’ll be back due to convenience but I assure you I will make sure to drive a bit further for bigger hauls at Costco.

The review for me is in the negatives stars if that even exists. I just wanted everyone to know that their management here and customer service was unacceptable. I called to speak to the manager after my son getting his phone stolen. He left it in the bathroom came back and phone was gone. During that time he came back a worker who works at this place was in there we asked to see if he had seen it and he said no. During the phone call I am asking “the Manager “ to check there schedule and to see if there workers took the phone by accident. The lady said they had no clue who was on schedule that day . Please make me understand that ? No schedules made ? I also asked for them to look at the footage near the bathrooms to see who came out after my son . Their response was they don’t have security cameras near the bathrooms because of privacy. My question is how do they keep the customers from pocketing stuff from the store? The lady only responded I just came to pick up the phone I’m not sure what to tell you. I was furious because I specifically asked to talk to the manager and this whole time the manager was in the back telling the lady what to say to me! This is the kind of customer service they have at the Castle Hayne/ Wrightsboro location. It’s funny how the location of the phone is still appearing at the food lion store and in Leland! But employees at this store are “Trustworthy“

Fantastic to see new Deli staff here today! He was quick, courteous and very helpful. He took the time to show me the thickness of the slices which was super. It was my second trip this week because when I got groceries earlier, there was a sign up saying the deli was closed due to staff shortage. I sincerely hope he stays & that his wonderful attitude rubs off. I like having a local store, close to home to do my shopping.

They are my local grocery store for my everyday items. Easy in, easy out. Sometimes simple is nice.. Friendly staff. Never had a bad experience. I know the store well, I love the great pricing on mark downs to cook the same day, helps save money on the weekly grocery bill.

Stopped by because it was on my way home. A stocker that was on one of the aisles that I needed to go down was somewhat rude. When I said excuse me he kinda huffed then backed up. The cashier was super nice. I believe her name was Patti. My favorite Food Lion is North Chase! They are always very friendly!

This is no longer a safe store to shop. Been harassed several times for money, watching the workers let people walk out with stolen goods, and the smell of pot in parking lot. Have shopped there since the store opened.

Maybe some have had bad experiences here…but not me. Always friendly and helpful. Great addition to the neighborhood and so glad they are here when other stores are much farther away!

THIS particular location is a favorite, for multiple reasons. Not only is it one of the few Food Lions in town OPEN TILL MIDNIGHT, but they really do have the friendliest staff. Everyone there seems to make the same effort to get to know their customers, after a couple visits you'll feel right at home. It's wonderful to know that there's still places in the world that value their patrons and provide customer service like they are taking care of family. I can't say enough good stuff about this store. I go out of my way to shop there.

Produce is terrible as usual. No selection, actually one selection of romaine lettuce. Cashier, barely even spoke. And add usual illegal parking right at the entrance.

Where do i start? The shelves are scary- no not bc of lack of TP but bc of how DUSTY AND GROSS- like "droppings" that are from a small animal gross. The management is anything but customer friendly. I had a seizure in the store and the store manager mocked me. Making gestures mimicking what i was doing during this seizure.... Just dont go here. I cant say it enough

Very nice store. We are traveljng; we do not have a Food Lion in TN, but everything was well stocked, employee friendly, and I found a couple items I am unable to buy inTN.Worthwhile stopping here.

Firstly, when I needed a store @11pm; this Food Lion was the only store in the area that was open until 12am. Secondly, the staff was great and super friendly even though by the time I got there they were closing in 10 minutes. They deserve at least 4.5 stars but I had to take something off because I couldn't find the items I needed that I have found at another Food Lion and other grocery stores in Wilmington.

Nice neighborhood grocery store. Good selection and pricing. Loyalty card yields nice discounts. Struggled to stay in stock in a number of areas during COVID-19. All in all good store!

I like this Food Lion a lot. It is smaller and not as new as most of the area stores, and they don't carry as much product as the other Food Lions locally, but the shelves are always stocked. What I like best, however, is that the turnover rate doesn't seem to be quite as high at this store, as there are always familiar faces working.

It USED to be the case that if you needed/wanted ANY specialty or "out of the ordinary" items, you'd HAVE to visit another grocer, because Food Lion (formerly) only carried "basic", "common", BLAH products. BUT, a DRASTIC CHANGE has taken place within the last couple of years, so that FOOD LION is now the ONLY store carrying the products I need, AND they're priced affordably! Who'd of thunk it? :)

Everytime I go to this store something gets jacked up. This time when I got home I was missing items I paid for. Time before that I bought french bread that turned moldy the next day. Time befpre that they put raw chicken in the same bag as a bunch of veg I was gonna make a salad with. Never going back to this store.

This is a good grocery store for staples, and it is closer to the north end of downtown Wilmington than any other grocery stores. The staff was very helpful and polite when I went there, and the checkout lines were not long. The produce section looked fresh but did not have as many options as a Harris Teeter or Lowe's Foods.

Friendly, efficient clerks. Always have what I need at the best prices in town! Love their return policy. If I'm not satisfied with what I've bought, they stand by their word -- no questions asked

I always like food lion and rather go there in instead of Walmart but is different now they're not enforcing the law people come and go without mask and nothing happens. Nobody should be allowed in the store without mask. Come on is about everybody employees, costumers, owners. I am protecting everybody coming with a mask in the store. Why the store doesn't protect me ?
