I've been shopping at Coastal Paws since Kathleen purchased the store. Everything has been high quality and my dogs have loved everything purchased there. I love their collar and leash options. Mia wore her coat this morning when we walked and loves it. We've been purchasing dog food for years and when we had to make a change due to distribution problems, Kathleen did a ton of research to find another high quality food.

Coastal Paws is an AMAZING pet boutique in downtown Wilmington NC! I highly recommend going to this beautiful establishment for all of your pet care needs! She has a wide variety of treats, toys, CBD products, shampoos, toys, gorgeous collars, leashes, and harnesses! Fun decor for your home, doggie and human shirts and hats, and SO MUCH MORE!!! Plus the staff is extremely knowledgeable on all the products they sell especially if you’re dog or cat needs any CBD or arthritis treats.

My dog Paxi and I love Coastal Paws. I was drawn in by the dog bowl and dog treats outside and the window display showcased all sorts of dog themed gear! Inside is full of not only fantastic treats, toys and food for dogs and cats, but also fun gifts and merchandise for us dog-loving humans! I live in Charlotte but make a point to stop in and see Kathleen every time I'm in Wilmington. It's clear she's a true dog lover!! I've bought her fun dog-themed shirts, treatos for my dog, and gifts for fuuriends. Two paws up!

Great little shop for all your dog and cat lovers. Unique gift items and awesome customer service because the harness I purchased was too small while on vacation. I spoke to Kathleen, the owner, and offered to mail the harness & include a pd returned padded envelope and she exchanged it no problem. Best part is, the harnes was $20 dollars cheaper then Petsmart and even with postage I saved money!! Come visit and support local business women!

Honestly, this store is cute and has loads of stuff BUT the dark haired cashier/associate was awful. My dog and I were ignored the entire time we were there (maybe 10 min total). There were only ever two customers in the store while we were there (us being one), so there was plenty of time for her to do a hello, do you need help, cute dog, something, but nada.

This is my dog Jackson and I's favorite pet store in Wilmington. We love coming in to see the owner Kathleen and her sweet pup Cali. Kathleen is the best and has an amazing array of great treats and toys for your beloved fur baby. She recommended Austin and Kat's CBD treats for Jackson for his anxiety and to help with his joints and back issues. They have been a game changer and work wonderfully. The previous store was in the Cotton Exchange but now the new location on Front Street has so much more space and a larger store front to display all the merchandise she has to offer. Come check this awesome place out and support a woman's locally owned business. You'll love it too!

I purchased a couple dozen dog cookies last week to give out to our clients for National Dog Day. Coastal Paws had exactly what I was looking for, on hand, and they were super friendly. I have purchased from Coastal Paws on multiple occasions. A couple of times in person and even more online. I have even shopped for family from out of state and they shipped the items directly there. The owner is super invested in making sure each item is good and safe for your pup. A local, woman owned business that loves her four legged clients as much as she does is hard to pass up. We are loyal customers and will continue to be so!

While visiting the area we decided to explore the local pet shops. This shop is exceptionally cute with a very unique selection. I had my 5.5 lb. Morkie, Ozzy with me, as I do almost everywhere we go. The house dogs came over to say hi and because I picked Ozzy up and said “We don’t know you guys”, I was emphatically told how my reaction was negatively affecting my dog and that because he is a dog trainer, he sees it all the time. People project their fears onto their dogs. And they attribute “anthropomorphic” characteristics to their animals. I was shocked at the unsolicited advice and attempted to end the “schooling” by walking away. He continued to instruct me as I attempted to shop, describing how dogs don’t generally want conflict, and they should be permitted to socialize. He further stated that it is the little dogs that are most often aggressive. Needless to say I didn't buy anything and won't be back. Very unprofessional!

Love this shop! I had just adopted Savannah, a very shy rescue doggie. I’m teaching her to be comfortable with new people, so that she can accompany me on my real estate appointments. Coastal Paws gave her treats, helped me pick out a safe collar for her and are special ordering a new leash. They were so sweet and kind to her... wonderful people!

Jamie the owner was super nice, and he and his dog helped me with my anxious Golden Retriever. I bought some braided bully sticks, my dog Kelly gobbled them in ~30 minutes! Definitely recommend visiting this store for the laid back atmosphere and great conversation.

My husband and I love this place as does our dog. The staff is incredible and extremely knowledgeable about dogs. They have a nice selection of merchandise including specialty items you won't find at the large retailers. May be pet friendly, but not kid friendly. My little boy was so excited to pick something out for our dog. He was excited and looking at everything with enthusiasm. We didn't know the store was closing soon, and the lady working didn't say anything. She was clearly annoyed and eventually told us to just leave, taking an item from us, and kept mumbling comments under her breath. Not a pleasant experience at all.

What a fun selection of unique collars and treats! I also purchased a Dog Bed Duvet cover and made my own dog bed at home!! My dogs and I love this adorable store.
