Wonderful place for saltwater and fresh water fish. You can also find gecko’s, snake’s, turtles and more.All staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about any creatures in the store. You will always be welcome to come in and chat with staff about your needs and concerns with your tanks and equipment.I have personally had an issue with my tank that caused me some issues and the staff was extremely helpful and we worked together and got it resolved now I have a beautiful and healthy tank.We also have a very happy crested gecko and inclosure .I just wish I could give 10 stars.

Every tank and habitat in the store was absolutely immaculate. Crystal clear water, happy active animals, no smell whatsoever. I was helping a friend surrender her two large koi as she could no longer care for them, and I felt very comfortable leaving her fish in their care. Nick in particular was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, super friendly, and just a pleasure to interact with.

Stopped in here while in Wilmington for some other things. The freshwater selection in this place is excellent. They have a huge assortment of aquatic plants at fair prices, many but not all come from Dustin's and are high quality. I'll definitely be returning! I'd even be willing to make the hour+ trip to wilmington just for this place!

The customer service here is TOP NOTCH! Everyone that works here is so super nice and helpful. Definitely the best selection of fish, plants and coral in all of Wilmington. Go here for all your pond and aquarium needs. Petsmart and other pet stores have nothing on this place! We will definitely be back to set up our salt water aquarium. We bought a couple of plants for our outdoor goldfish pond.

Omg!!!I am in love with this place. The tanks were clean. There were so many fish and accessories. The staff friendly and knowledgeable.This place is a drive for me and to be honest I would drive just to see this place again. I love it.Prices were a little high. However if we are being honest, the way they appear to care for their fish, then I will take it.

If you’re in Wilmington or the surrounding area and need an aquatic store, go here. They have a great selection, clean tanks, beautiful fish and plants. Sadly, I don’t live in Wilmington anymore or I’d shop here weekly!

Would not recommend. Went to get feeder guppies from them, instead of just telling me they didn’t have the amount I asked for they shorted me. Was never given a chance to see them in the bag at the store, employee got them from the tank and rushed them to the register. When I did see them after paying there was less than what I had paid for and several dead fish in the bag. When I spoke to the owner I was talked to like an idiot and told it’s not possible his employee made a mistake. There’s a huge difference between the 30 fish I requested and the 12 I was given not counting the dead fish in the bag. I was then told I was buying the wrong feeders and told to get ones obviously too big for the animal they were being fed to. I don’t appreciate being shorted instead of them being honest. Taking to me like I’m an idiot didn’t help as I am actually a trained biologist and know what I’m doing unlike this business.

The folks here are always really nice and have always been very helpful whenever I have a question. Even though I'm not a major client (I only have a 5 gallon tank at the moment) they still treat me with the care and respect that they would give someone with an extensive aquarium setup. It's always a positive experience when I come here and I can't recommend it enough

He remembers the fish you have, tank set up you have, and he takes pride in making sure he helps you to the best of his knowledge to make sure you have the best fish keeping experience possible. Selection is enormous and if they don't have something you're looking for they will try their best to get it for you. Prices are on point and fish are of good health and quality. They sell water and can test yours as well. Ask questions! They are there to help you!Long time customer wish we weren't moving out of state.

I have been here a dozen times and you can't beat it! It's refreshing going somewhere that the owner and employee's are knowledgeable and passionate about fish and fish keeping! Nick has helped me on multiple occasions and he is FANTASTIC! They aren't always going to be the lowest priced but anyone in the hobby can tell you, fish can be pretty delicate temperamental and you get what you pay for. If you're a beginner, I especially recommend coming here to get advice on stocking your setup and cycling your tank.

Gorgeous facility with expertly maintained tanks and an incredible variety of fish and plants. The staff is incredibly helpful and go out of their way to get you the right set up for your aquarium. I respect how they won’t just let you take a tank buster fish home and put it in a 10 gallon; they really care for the well-being of each fish sold. Highly recommended

Don’t purchase anything from this business. We purchase a mantis shrimp it died I one day. It was something wrong with it which they agreed to get another one for us. We have made several calls to get it replaced and have been told the owner will calls us back. This has never happened. All we want to to have a call back and a credit to replace the shrimp.

Dropped by this place while on vacation and I must say it's by far the best store I've been to in years. Both the owners and employees were very knowledgeable and have a down to earth vibe all while actually caring for the well being of their inventory. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. They even had 2 exact jewel cichlids that I've been searching for for months in good health too

Blanton and Nick were beyond amazing! We drove all the way from Hubert to get some tanks mates for our son's new 36 gallon and they took the time to provide great insight. The store was clean and all the tanks looked great. Their selection was just what we were looking for so we will definitely be back!! Worth the drive 100%.

I reviewed the store about a year ago, so I wanna update it. It's still a five star store! Employees are always friendly and knowledgeable. The store is ALWAYS clean and never has excess water on the floor or that signature "fish store" smell. Prices are fair and if there's something they don't have they're more than happy to order it for you.Can happily say this is now my go to store for stock and dry goods. Here's hoping for continued success for Blanton & Family + team. Maybe even a second store one day!

I have been coming to Big Fish since it opened and am always impressed. The owners are really cool people! The employees are so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The store is also really beautiful and it's like visiting an aquarium seeing sting rays, Cayman alligator and the sea horses. We recently got a synodontis catfish from them for our African cichlid tank. We plan to stop by again soon!
