Have had quite a few e periences that are not for the better in this establishment. As well as the clear disregard for experienced personnel. Regularly come in to see empty shelves, stockers whom seem more entertained by their phones, and a general disregard from the management. Whom ever is incharge of hiring, needs to hire people with experience and work ethic, because it's clear they focus on younger, and more attractive employees instead of those with the ability to preform at the job.This is clearly a management and hiring issue, as I've seen many of the experienced employees leave due to poor management, only to be replaced by the absolute most abysmal workers I've ever seen.In my years of working retail, if any of my prior employers were to see this level of neglectful employees, I promise you, not a one would still have their job.Sincerely disappointed in this store, as a few years ago, this store was simply wonderful. Just goes to show what neglectful management, and poor hiring habits can do to a once fantastic store.

Well maintained grocery store with a couple of unique features.It has a wine and beer bar where you can try and purchase a glass of locally made beers and ciders. They also open bottles of wine. If you are an IPA lover, there are a wide variety available and they sell jugs to go, of the beer they currently have on tap.The prices of food in this store is high$$$.There is a Butcher shop available, but I don't normally look there due to the prices.They have a store brand of sausages that are pretty good. Try their Frankenfurter when they are on sale and available. They've been hard to find lately.Be sure to get one of those sales cards you can put on your keychain.Buying items that are on sale brings the products down to normal prices.There is a slow but steady trickle of customers, which is reflective of the higher prices.

They have a very good selection of different foods. Some of the prices seem a little high, but the sales are good. We like the brown label foods to get food without a lot of additives.

I work in N. Wilkesboro and typically go for thier lunch time deli. Food is good, it can be pricey, but everyone is friendly and the store is clean and organized. Great place to go for local products and a customer oriented atmosphere.

Why is this place so expensive? Like really... I can go a block away and get the same stuff 1-2 bucks cheaper. The mark up is insane! Ask me to provide examples because you know Im coming with RECEIPTS! I used to go here for quality and pay the more expensive price but I can't say that anymore. Most of my organics were bad within a couple days. Not just on one occasion. You know it's bad when I took the time to come back and edit! I pay cash money (no shade to those on EBT) for my groceries, and if I'm going to spend it, that quality better be there. You feel me? So, if you need to get the most bang for your buck like me, save your coin and go somewhere that actually cares about the stuff they are feeding the community...not just about the money they can raise for the church! Note that they are only getting two starts for their lovely workers. They are so nice and kind!

Since their big remodel, they've reshuffled what inventory they carry, and as of this posting, have stopped carrying SIX of my regular items that I've been buying here for years. Corporate decisions ruin every business, and sadly this branch is no different. Excellent staff all the way around, but don't count on them to carry the same items from visit to visit.

I do the majority of my grocery shopping here. I like supporting a business born in NC. Lowes has a variety of goods that I can’t buy at other grocery stores. I especially love the fresh milk from a local creamery. The employees are all extremely helpful and friendly. Items can get a bit pricey at times so look for deals. I also value that Lowes does a lot of work with local food banks.

Omg, walked into the store this morning to the most amazing smells from the bakery department! Talked to the sweetest ladies there and they let me purchase super fresh croissants directly from their ovens. Highly recommend!

Excellent selection, even in ethnic and organic categories. The store is always well stocked, organized and staffed. The produce is fresh and plentiful and the wine/deli area is gorgeous. Boar's Head meats at the deli are conscientiously prepared. The management is on top of things here as everyone is trained well and everything is clean, including the rest rooms. There are lots of sales and values to be had (don't think it's too expensive to shop here, it's not). This is one of my happy places in Wilkesboro.

Lowes Foods has an amazing selection. They carry all kinds of meat like elk, bison, lamb, and duck. If you're in the mood for spirits, they also have a huge selection of alcohol to choose from they even have alcohol ice cream. If you can't find what you're looking for at any other grocery store, look at Lowes Foods. When I'm in the mood for an elaborate dinner, I always go to Lowes Foods to find my ingredients.

PROS: The store is clean and everyone is so very nice. Love that they carry products you can't get at the other stores in town. CONS: The deli is very inconsistent. Nothing I've ordered in my last 3 visits has been correct. My cheese was sliced so thin and stacked that when I got it home it was like a brick and I couldn't get the slices to come apart. My first visit, my cheese was perfectly laid out, but was so very thick. I kept coming back due to the Boars Head brand meats and cheeses.
