They are absolutely WONDERFUL, we went in to look at their inventory and potentially purchase and the owner Jamie was extremely nice and very knowledgeable about everything, he assisted us for a few hours around the store explaining care for each animal and which would be the best for us, and before we knew it we fell in love with the hypo Honduran milk snake he had and absolutely had to have him! The snake is wonderful and extremely tame, I cannot recommend this place enough and will certainly be telling everyone I know about this place an absolute 11/10 on experience and staff

I was in the shop on March 29th, 2024 with my daughter, I spent a total of around three hours in the store. It was awesome to see the owners son walking around with the animals, helping out in the store, and interacting so intently with customers. He’s a good kid who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves what his father and him do. Now, on to the review!I have to say, I already love this shop! In fact I bought a healthy, beautiful snake while I was browsing (when I wasn’t intending to purchase an animal going in, but I fell in love with a beautiful snake). The owner and his son are super friendly, very knowledgeable, and their animals are all healthy, the shop is very neat and clean, and there are so many choices! The animals are all very well taken care of, they are handled a lot unlike at other places where the animals are only messed with during feeding time. The way my snake acts, it is very docile like it’s been held from day one, unlike one I got from PetSmart a while back.If you aren’t afraid of the animals, they will get an animal out and you are allowed to touch/hold any critter in the shop.I will definitely be back to this shop, and I’ve officially written off PetSmart unless there is absolutely just something I can’t find in Lewis’ shop. You guys made a customer today, and I will be back. I have respect for people that care for the animals and treat them like something more than just a product to be sold. Popped in to show our son who Loves reptiles the new shop. He absolutely had the best experience and was able to hold snakes, hedgehogs, and even Bassett hounds that happened to be there that day!Very friendly and answered any questions we had. Also they are open and upfront about the animals not just trying to make a sale.The animals look very healthy and active. We will definitely be going here for our next pet!

They have a nice selection of animals who all seem to be healthy, I saw clean enclosures and full water dishes. It looked like they had all the basic stuff. You would need to have a reptile set up including some decorations as well! I only bought some mealworms but they are now my go-to stop for feeder mice as well!

What a delight! The owners were friendly and accommodating, and we even got to hold reptiles. That's a strong selling strategy, haha - but in no way was it pushy - quite the opposite, it was relaxed and inspiring. The owner demonstrated knowledge of the animals and their care. All specimens I saw appeared to be in strong health and pretty unstressed. I'm so glad this is here in our corner of NC!

Very cool store with awesome vibes! They are extremely helpful and answered all of our questions so we could make an educated decision on an awesome new pet. Will definitely be back and 10/10 would recommend to anyone :)

I generally find pet stores to be depressing because most of them treat the animals so poorly and obviously put profit over the lives of these animals. This pet store is definitely different. The animals all looked well cared for and the people who work there are very kind.

Amazing selection, clean, and well kept. There are snakes, lizards, spiders, turtles, tortoises, hedgehogs, feeder mice and rats, crickets, and more! Plenty of supplies if you're just starting or for a seasoned professional. Definitely check this place out!
