CAUTION!!! All golfers read this before you consider giving 75.00 to play here. The layout is funky but fun. The conditions on the other hand are absolutely horrible. There are several tee boxes with NO grass on them and several greens with NO grass, just hard dirt in front of the greens. Number 5 is a fun hole but it holds up the whole experience. Five hour rounds are the normal. Fairways are bare and grass MIGHT be grown in by end of May but still need much more planted. There has to be a group of investors out there that could buy this, shut it down for a period of time and make it a beautiful track. I played another local course in the area at double the price and the conditions were 50x better than the experience i had today. I would MAYBE consider giving this course another shot towards end of summer but not on the radar for now. This is a 40.00 course max with its current conditions. I hate writing a review like this but feel people deserve to know what their getting into before spending their hard owned money. The plus side is there are some nice views. On a positive note, I won't have to take a beach trip this year as I saw plenty of sand on the tee boxes.

$80/round is a tough pill to swallow at a course that is teeing off from mats on 80% of holes and has punched greens. Course is not well maintained, especially for the price. If I were to return to Cherokee and golf I would pay the extra to play at the other courses in the area again.Beautiful views and friendly staff save from the one star review.

Our group just finished a small tournament here and were all very impressed with this place. The course is maintained and is a great mix of challenging holes and beautiful views. Hole number 5 is the most unique hole I’ve ever played! The staff were very friendly and organized, even working our group of 12 into another 20+ team tournament seamlessly. The cabins are comfortable and have amazing views of the course. We will most definitely be back.

Our stay at Smoky Mountain Country Club & Vacation Rentals was wonderful. The view was breathtaking from the spacious balcony adjoining the great room and bedrooms. The condo was beautifully decorated and very comfortable accommodations. We stay there for the Polar Express Train Ride. We plan to make this a yearly trip and stay at Smoky Mountain Country Club.Rooms: Very comfortable accommodations for relaxing and sleeping.

Clean and accommodating condo. One huge negative was the master bedroom mattress/box spring. It was old, very uncomfortable and the middle sunk. My wife had to sleep on twin bed due the condition of the bedding. We stayed in condo #15. If not for this issue I would have a better review. The scenery was awesome and mountain golf was enjoyable with spectacular views from the course. We will be back next year but not staying at #15 condo unless bedding has been replaced.

We just did a three day golf outing and it was absolutely fabulous! The people at the sales center are so nice and helpful and the people at the course were great as well. The house we stayed in was incredible with breath taking views. The course was fantastic with a very interesting layout and amazing views. Will definitely be back and can't wait!!

We had a golf trip of 12 guys over the weekend of 10/6-10/9. The entire staff, from the reception to the rangers on the course were very friendly and accommodating. The golf course was in great shape and challenging. The condos were clean and spacious. Overall, the weekend was great and we couldn't have asked for a better host for our trip.

We have been traveling to the Smokey Mtns for 50 years. Our recent stay at Smokey MtnCountry Club ranks as one of the best trips ever. Ease of check in and out and friendly, helpful staff stood out. It is also convenient to anything you might want to do. Condo 14 was easily one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in the Smokies. Extremely clean, great views and no steps!!! The owner has thought of everything you might need to make it feel like home. Spacious 2 br and very well decorated. The jacuzzi was a nice bonus after hiking each day. We were impressed by our entire experience. We will be back soon.

Played here on Sunday October 8th. The greens were just aerated, but still gave it 5 stars because maintenance needs to be done. The staff was great for first time players of the course, very helpful. The views are what you’re hoping for from a mountain course. Will come back and play again the next time I’m in the area.

Absolute terrible experience. Tee boxes were concrete. Greens looked liked they were never maintained. The rough might as well be in the middle of a cow field it was so bad. The ranger was rude. And play was extremely slow. Played 9 holes in 3 hours then left… 75$ for a disgusting experience. I’m on my bachelor trip with friends and we love everything we have experienced while being here except for this place…. Overall course has so much potential but poorly managed and poor up keep

Our condo was prime. A well designed and well accessorized and roomy retreat. We were at the end of a very quiet street with a postcard view. The cleanliness was superb. The outdoor tv and fireplace were just part of a huge back porch/deck that we enjoyed. Bathrooms are roomy, well equipped, one jacuzzi tub with private toilet. The kitchen left nothing to be added and with a laundry room at the end. Televisions were well supplied in the great room, both bedrooms and the one bathroom in addition to the one outside.It loses a star for the parking situation which is somewhat cramped but easily accommodated two sedans.

We stayed in Condo #1 on the website but the unit is #5. The views were amazing! The unit overall was very nice and updated. 3 steps down into the unit for easy access. The posted street signs were not easy to find so it made getting there the first day a little tricky. (use the printed directions not the map they provide). We enjoyed the pool and sauna on day too!

Beautiful views from condo #7 (128 Olympic Drive, #4). Easy access from the main road, which made it convenient to get to shopping, casino, and surrounding towns. This is a downstairs unit, so expect some noise if you have people renting above you. Also know that the bathrooms in this unit have tub/showers only and are pretty deep to get in an out of if you have any limitations.Tonya was great to work with and recommended calling in the next time we wanted to book a stay. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would definitely return - but to a different condo that was more conducive to our expections.

Beautiful views and a well-appointed condo at the very top of the SMCC property. One of the best stocked kitchens (with respect to pots/pans/tools) I have experienced; we use VRBO in many parts of the world. Zero spices or cooking oil, FYI.Note well: do not try to find this property in the dark or while tired. Do not, as we did, try to approach on motorcycles. Roads are extremely steep and not very well marked. The drive to Bryson City or Cherokee to get groceries (or anything) is about the same distance, which isn't around the corner! Plan on at least one hour round trip to either location. Bottom line: stunning, but really challenging! To be extra fair, we should have mentioned we were arriving on motorcycles and asked for a more accessible property. We did not know, until after booking, that this property is not managed by an individual; it is managed by SMCC. Lesson learned.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at Condo #19 twice now and it has been so relaxing and easy. The owners of the condo have made their condo feel like a home away from home. The condo was very clean. It was 604 Sawgrass unit 2. The pictures online dont do it justice. Great location between Bryson City and Cherokee. Be ready for curving roads to up to condo. Yes, I know I was in the mountains! The condo had a great notebook with suggestions of places to eat and things to do. I would recommend staying here. The mountain golf was also a first experience for us. Very accomadating at the club house!

Golf course was nice and great shape. It's a little tough because it's narrow in places. Staff was super friendly overall. I enjoyed it. You got to hit it straight though before. It's going to be difficult

We stayed in Condo 18 and loved it! Awesome accommodations! Very spacious! Loved being able to sit on the deck and watch golfers on 11 green. The gas fireplace was perfect to take off the chill in the evenings and in the mornings. Check in was a breeze and receptionist gave us some great recommendations to see some beautiful waterfalls in the area.

The lodging and golfing experience exceeded our expectations! We were also extremely impressed with their customer service. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a relaxing get away and we are looking forward to our next visit to SMCC!

An absolutely amazing place to stay and play golf. Came here this past weekend for my best friends bachelor party. One of the most hospitable places I’ve ever been. Our morning started off great everyday with a Buffett breakfast in the club house before teeing off. Sarah I believe her name was did an amazing job of taking care of our group and making us feel welcomed. It was nice hearing all about the ownership of the club from her and how much they care about their guests. I can’t wait to come back . We plan to make this a yearly trip.

The personal are so kind and friendly, the condos are fantastic and quiet and property is so close to the casino! The golf course is a fun course with unbelievable views and challenges, I can’t wait to get back!Food & drinks: The restaurant staff are so helpful and friendly and the food is good too!
