I stopped at this Food Lion to check it out. The produce department was nice. The taxes are higher at this location than in the one in Sylva. Not sure why, except maybe because of the reservation. Other than that it was okay. I only bought a few things and used the self check out.

If you have problems with being in crowded places then be sure and check the time for when you go as it is the only grocery store in town so it stays packed during peak times. They have an excellent buffet hot bar though limited to different types of wings, sometimes BBQ short ribs, fried cheese sticks... Sometimes a couple other things. But whatever they put out is very good.Back to being busy.... As busy as they are they seem to be limited where help is concerned. The self-checkout stays packed when they're busy and many times there will only be two full service lines open. The checkout lines will be so full they back up into the food isles making it near impossible to navigate when you're shopping. AGAIN, this is not a criticism of anyone in particular. It's difficult to get help anywhere these days. I'm simply reporting this so people are aware.

Of all the grocery stores in an hour's radius, this food lion at Cherokee crossing, has the friendliest staff. Customer service goes a long way and the "other Grocer's" leave much to be desired.

I have decided to stop using this store. I will go to Silva from now on. The selections at Cherokee are pitiful. And the main reason is for the past few months I have noticed attitude from most of the Cherokees who work in the store. They are refusing to speak to white people. I never done anything wrong to any indigenous person and I absolutely refuse to be treated that way. I hope the managers see this and learn that their store really sucks. There is one female cashier with light hair who really goes out of her way to show hatred for white people.

Was a very nice store with nice employees. However, this location tragically did not have the legendary, and previously thought to even be non-existent, Dr. Perky soda. I'm not going to chastise the store for not having this product in stock today as I'm sure Dr. Perky's absence on the shelves is only a testament to its unmatched flavor and desirability. However, my disappointment is immeasurable. I still await the day I can finally acquire this elusive blend of flavors.

Happy we found this store. Good to stock up when camping in Cherokee. They have deli too, many flavors of hot wings. We took ours down by the river in town for a picnic lunch.

Nice grocery store, prices as expected, was impressed with gluten free options! Their restrooms were open which was nice. We came on a weekday and not too busy. Good amount of cashiers. Good gluten free options. Beer selection was impressive. Lots of groceries. Fresh food. Great selection great people great location fast service

I am done with this store!!! They guarantee rotisserie chicken between 5-7pm, but apparently they do not care about their guarantees. It is a joke trying to get a rotisserie chicken during those times. I have had it out with multiple members of management including the store manager that wanted to be rude by offering me a job instead of fixing the problem. Yeah, he assured me the problem would be fixed…..it isn’t!!!I hadn’t been back to the store since the day I spoke with the store manager that was more interested in telling me how hard he works and what all he does for the community than worrying about customer needs until last night. Nothing has changed!!!

Nice, clean store. Pretty good selection of beef, pork and chicken. Probably best meat prices in the area. For me it's a pretty regular food shopping stop. Addendum: after about two years in this area, Food Lion is our primary grocery store. We still make a monthly trip to Trader Joe's in Asheville for some specialty items, but Food Lion meets our basic needs.

I've been going there for years and never had a problem until recently. I had a cashier that was having a really bad day I guess and she was throwing my groceries around so I asked her to stop nicely and the attitude got worse. Later that day I had made a post about the said cashier and one of their "customer service representative" made a post about me on Facebook saying I'm dramatic and and the cashier was just doing her job. His mom entered the post boldly threatening to "beat" me up! So unprofessional! Yes I'm a local and I go there nearly everyday. I called corporate and talked to the manager but nothing is ever done about anything. I'm not surprised at all.

I love and appreciate my local Food Lion grocery store. The staff are always helpful from the managers all the way down to the newest employees. I am thankful we do have good managers at our local Food Lion.

Well organized for a Food Lion, I was impressed although the strawberries I purchased were all spoiled after the top layer…hate when that happens. Other than that good experience in the only grocery store in Cherokee

Great store. Love the hot bar. They had a lot of wong choices and they were all very good. The salads and sandwiches are good and it's a much cheaper option than finding a restaurant.

Purchased meat, not realizing it was 2 weeks out of date. Have made 3 requests for a refund. Never received. NOT good business practices. I'm somewhat disgusted with Food Lion. 3 trys, and they still can't get it right.

This is not my city, but it seems that no matter what city I am in and there is a Food Lion, I will go there. They are probably the tidiest and best organized grocery stores around, or at least all I have been in are. Their prices tend to be above average, so shop around. Some of their private name products though, are really both good and inexpensive, if you are a member, plus there are always offers and promotions running.

I always shop there at Food Lion, when we are in town. I have to say I was very embarrassed, because I didn't have a enough money with me. I was going to get a few things, which it ended up be a buggy. Of course, I had to put something's back. I thought I had put everything back. After I got back to the hotel, I noticed the chips where. I felt like I was stealing. I went back the next, and asked for manager. There were several working, but an extremely nice one to talk to me. Ms. Doris was great and comply understood. I went back to pay for the chips, but thought I want those too. I told I didn't feel right I needed to pay. Needless to say, my day was much, much better.Ms. Doris, I hope you will be there when we come back this fall!!! Thank you, Ms. Doris.

Very nice. I had never been to one before so I was not sure what to expect. The worst part of it is that you have to wear a mask. But the produce was very nice and the shelves were quite well-stocked although there were some areas that were under stocked.
