Best brewery I have ever been too. The staff is the friendliest. Great place to bring your dog. Charlie loves it here. My server was Vickie and she was phenomenal. Bubbly attitude and was so attentive to all the customers. I am a repeat customer.

Had high expectations 😌 ordered a brat, and it took over 30 minutes to get it. After ordering $25 in craft beer, yall should reconsider your snack help. Even Burger King is faster! And they make hamburgers 🍔 🙄 🤣 do yourself a favor and stay away from the consession stand! You can do better at a race track!

This used to be my favorite place to come for amazing brats and beer and they started selling some of the wimpiest brats I have ever seen. Incredibly bummed.(First pic is current brat, second is from a year ago).

Red Oak is a fantastic beer, they follow the old Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516 (“Reinheitsgebot”), which means only three ingredients are used in all the beers Red Oak Brewery produces. Of course, their main lager is my favorite, but you can get half-and-half of their Helles and Lager, which is called the “Red Bird.” Delicious! This location is a must for any Red Oak enthusiast. Tours are available of the brewery, but the main draw is their beautiful beer hall and beer garden. The hall is large and beautiful, while the garden is shaded, cool and relaxing. Our bartender, Jordan, was amazing. Not only did she connect with us on a personal level, she serviced us outside in the biergarten and even stood on the table to take an awesome wide shot photo of us and the garden. If you get hungry while chugging all these delicious pints, your bar tab carries over to the dog haus in the garden. Wow - was that the best beef frank I’ve EVER had. My colleague loved the brat. Will be visiting again next time I’m in the Greensboro area. 10/10, highly recommend!

The beer is amazing! The landscaping is absolutely stunning! The staff is awesome! Absolutely one of my favorite breweries in NC! Vicki and Carri were my bar tenders for the night and they made me feel welcomed and treated me like family! I will definitely be back again!

Red Oak Brewery is a great option for grabbing a beer and enjoying the atmosphere. They have an enclosed courtyard with pretty landscaping, scultptues, fire pit, and water feature. Inside has a vaulted ceiling and solid tables wood tables for playing games and socializing. Jake and the team provide excellent sevice, the pretzels and sausages are on point.

This place was wonderful. I love Red Oak beer anyway, this made it better. From the walk up from the parking lot to the entrance, the gardens, sculptures, and the building itself were all amazing. Inside is a treasure as you can tell from the pictures posted here. The staff was friendly and the food onsite was great! Won't be our last time visiting.

Beautiful beer hall with a fantastic outdoor garden. Perfect spot for a refreshing beer! It’s also dog friendly (not kid- friendly) with plenty of shaded tables outside on a hot day. We loved walking around the water fall and all of the sculptures! I got the flight which is all 6 beers on draft. None of them blew me away but they were all decent. Service is great and it’s such a fun place to visit! Next time might try out the food as well!

Awesome place to grab a beer! Been coming for years and loved it everytime. Everyone is so friendly.Dog friendly too!People have complained that they can't bring their kids here... why would you bring your children to a brewery!? They are not of age to drink....what are they suppose to do. "21+ only" has been on their front door for YEARS. And yes that includes children under a year old... what part of no one under 21 do you guys not understand? Plenty of my friends have kids and newborns and do not bring them when they come here.Just ignore the Karen reviews that cant read and do not realize the world does not revolve around them.Thank you Red Oak for always providing an awesome experience and being KID FREE! Will be coming back for many years to come!

Amazing place to stop and enjoy beers and German sausages! Also highly recommend the mac and cheese, probably best I've had EVER and the pretzel bites and Apple Bird. The gardens and scenery provide a magical entrance even before you reach the building. Thanks to the staff for the wonderful service and experience.Update 7/24/22: still a phenomenal place! They no longer had the apple sake :( but everything was amazing! They’re now 21+ only, which adds to an exceptionally relaxing experience. Very pet friendly and their food truck is still the BEST German sausages, pretzel, and Mac & cheese I’ve had. Even not being the biggest beer drinker, I would order another of 75% of the flight I had to drink again. Great and kind service, amazing adult only atmosphere, and worth a trip for the food alone (but don’t just get food)!Update 10/22/22: downgrading to 4 stars. It's still very good.. They no longer have the Mac and cheese, which is extremely disappointing. Still adult only which creates a very chill atmosphere but I can't appropriately express my disappointment with the fact that the Sake AND Mac & cheese are now gone. Sausage and pretzels are both good still.

Was turned away with an infant asleep in her carrier on a Thursday at opening (ie, an empty beer hall). Cannot wait for the family to enjoy this place in 20 years and 8 months! Until then, we will not touch a red oak lager.Forget the pictures and whatnot on the website and put 21 only in the largest, boldest font you can find at the top of the page. Might even consider adding 21 only to the brewery name since more people/insurance appreciate it so much and will save countless families many wasted hours traveling to this establishment.

This has got to be the most beautiful and amazing brewery! So fun and the atmosphere is incredible. My husband and I love their beers and always attend the car shows. I can’t wait till the art gallery building is open!

Planned a trip to celebrate a birthday. Heard how much this venue resembled an authentic German beirgarten AND beers brewed following the German Reinheitsgebot, or purity law of 1516. We were not disappointed! Notice on the door states you must get 21 to enter, and it is strictly enforced. Great variety of pilsner, ales, and lagers. Outdoor beirgarten is so peaceful and tranquil. It's hard to believe this oasis is just off I-85. Learned an Art Gallery will be opening soon. We'll be back to explore!

My favorite thing about Red Oak is the 21+ policy!!! Every other brewery allows children, so it's a save haven for adults wanting a kid free atmosphere. Plus they're super dog friendly and the beer is amazing! LOVE this place and their amazing staff and friendly management. 10/10 would recommend.

We finally made one of our trips past our favorite brewery. Made it a point to stop there on a road trip to eat lunch and grab a beer. We have been going to breweries for at least 15 years because we love the culture and appreciate a good beer. This is the first time we found one that didn’t allow kids.1. To suggest that we are “Karens” or bad parent for taking our kids to breweries suggests you don’t have any and/or are completely ignorant to what the beer community stands for.2. This is off a major highway which means people might make it a point to plot it as a pit stop.It was really disappointing to take a vacation and purposely drive past Red Oak to get turned away. When we drive to Raleigh from Virginia my husband buys cases to bring back. ( I don’t think this will be happening anymore)One a good note Eno Brewery is right down the road with great beer. There were lots of kids that were well behaved… ( some questionable adults (without kids) seeking attention) but a great experience at that brewery,

So it's a big beer garden. Well established and very popular. I was most impressed by ALL of the bartenders and wait staff. They are clearly well trained and engaged in their work. Beer is good. Would love a bock or porter in the mix of lagers. Glad there were no IPA's.

We went for the tour, it was actually pretty short (~20mns) as it's not really big, then you get to sample 6 different beers (about 5oz glass each). We ended outdoor in the garden, it's a nice place in a shade of small trees. That's where the little stand is to serve brats and pretzels. They also have a food truck with some bbq which we didn't try. Apparently you don't have to do the tour to enjoy the place, you can just come to have beers and food. It was a nice little evening so we'll be back for sure.

A beautiful beer hall with an artfully designed outdoor seating area. Scheduled food truck vendors provide a variety of delicious, albeit pricey, dining options in addition to the in-house Wurst Haus. Refreshing, unfiltered draft Bavarian lagers are Red Oak Brewery's specialty. Wine is also available. Only adults over 21 years old are allowed along with dogs of any age.Kid-friendliness: No children, including babies, are allowed.

Very nice place, clean and lots of room. No kids allowed, a big plus for this place. More breweries should be like this. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was good. The beer was good. Red Oak is one of my favorite beers. Not a big variety of beer. Would be nice to see a few more varieties. Prices in the gift shop seemed a little high on some items. Food trucks are often on site but would love to see them add a reasturant.

My first time despite passing it many times from here to there. So glad we stopped in. Really beautiful and shaded beer garden where you can relax and drink a nice cold beer. Ordered the pretzel with beer cheese and it was delicious, but what really stood out is the service! The servers are super attentive and quick on the refill! Next time you pass by, stop in!

We were passing through on 85 and thought we’d stop for lunch. We had been here before, albeit without children. Little did we know they have an ABSOLUTE NO ONE under 21 policy. Don’t even bother entering the gift shop. We had an infant with us and got turned away immediately upon entering the doors. This has to be the only brewery in NC, all of the Carolina’s and Virginia, that does not allow children. I’ve never heard of such a thing at a brewery, let alone a ‘German beer hall’. This policy is so antithetical to what breweries have become in NC, places for families and friends to come together and enjoy each others company.. it’s a shame a brewery of this caliber is so out of touch with their own community. They not only lost a customer for today, but in the future as well. Bill, take note, this policy does not just effect you draught beer sales, it is detrimental to your brand. We will be spreading the word in Charlotte to not buy red oak as they are not a family friendly brewery. I’ve read your responses to people in the comments and they show this place values all the wrong things. If people are disrespectful, give them a warning and ask them to leave. Adults are capable of disrespecting your policy as well as children, but you still allow them to bring dirt in your pristine beer hall floors. If you continue with this policy, update your signs on 85 with ‘21 and up only’, have it front page on your website, put a sign as you pull in to your parking lot. Make it abundantly clear that you are NOT family friendly. See what it does to your brand when word gets out- and it will.Since you have Thomas Jefferson quotes about wisdom on your front door, I suggest you read more of Thomas Jefferson.“I long to be in the midst of the children, and have more pleasure in their little follies than in the wisdom of the wise.”—Thomas Jefferson.

The place is freaking beautiful! When you walk into the big gate entrance, it feels like you have left the Whitsett/Elon/Burlington all together! The small winding walkway just feels so much like a fairytale. The bier haus is very open and just feels like a place to be meeting people. The biergarten outside continues the atmosphere of the entrance path. It is honestly stunning to see what they have had built. It just isn't something you would expect for the area, especially if you remember how the land looked when there was just the brewery or before even that. I have always placed the original Red Oak bier as my favorite. Now they have even more eight options to enjoy. It is worth checking out!

At Red Oak got Lobster Dogs, Red Oak beer and Wild Card Playoff game between San Francisco & Seattle. Watching 2nd half when the girl behind the bar changed the channel!!! I asked her why and she said some guys who just came in wanted to see basketball. WHAT????? We paid our tab and left!!! Spent about $80 and we had been there for an hour watching the game!!! MAY NOT GO BACK TO RED OAK!!! HOW RUDE WAS THIS?
