We absolutely LOVE Neuse River Doggy Daycare!! Our boy Clayton is very anxious around new people. After several visits, he got to know the staff and LOVES them! They are so attentive to every dog and treat them like their own. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I feel confident leaving him in their hands because you know they care. Zach, Haley and David are just a few of the staff you'll meet and understand what I mean about caring for your pup. This place is truly Clayton's home away from home!

I got my dog his name is Bubba Jr and I went to Dr Connie and she was wonderful and her entire staff was outstanding it was such an improvement from my last vet which was Plantation animal hospital they were absolutely unorganized and simply just crazy. Dr Connie's staff is very polite and very helpful, and Connie is very outstanding. I brought my second dog to her recently my 10- week-old Oliver, and she's been very, very helpful with that. I can't praise this group of people high enough that they don't have 20 Stars. Also their old location next door has Dirty Dog Spa they are simply awesome Ellie is outstanding just as well thank God that they leased the place to a good groomer.

Literally the best place ever for daycare & boarding!! The doggy day care has been my saving grace since they opened! My Maggie goes every day, plays with all her friends, you can see them play on the cameras, there is someone with them constantly keeping them busy & watching them. Maggie runs to the door every morning she’s so excited to see everyone. They treat her as their own, all the dogs have so much fun there. So thankful for them & being so amazing with my dog!

We have five dogs and we would not take them anywhere else. Neuse River Veterinary Hospital is the best. Very knowledgeable, experience and you can tell the staff love animals. The new facility is excellent.

I cannot recommend Neuse River Veterinary Hospital and Doggy Daycare more highly. Dr. Connie and NRVH have cared for my dogs throughout the lifespan, from the puppy stages through end of life. They have always been thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I know that they have my dogs’ best interests at heart, and I am so grateful to have access to such high quality vet care. I only have wonderful things to say about the vets, techs, and staff. They all work together to ensure all of their patients get the best possible care with the least amount of stress.The doggy daycare and boarding facility is the best I’ve ever encountered. The staff is amazing. They take their time to get to know every dog and cater to their individual needs and personalities. The dogs get a lot of 1:1 attention and care throughout the day. The staff interacts with the dogs all day long, providing them with enrichment and individualized attention. It is clear that they genuinely care about every dog there, and safety is a top priority. I never have to worry about my dog while he is in their care, and he absolutely loves being there.

I took my dwarf beagle to Neuse River Vet today with a little emergency. They had never seen him before and didn’t really know me. I took him based on a family member’s recommendation and boy am I glad I did! They were so kind and compassionate…listening to every word I said in a frenzy of worry and agreed to work him in without an appointment. I couldn’t be more grateful. From the receptionist to the techs, Dr Connie and even the young lady that took my payment; everyone was so patient and considerate. Customer service tends to be a lost art imo these days, but it is not lost at NRV. They took such good care of my little boy (and his very worried mama). They were loving, gentle and thorough…and as a result, my sweet little Copper is already leagues better! He’s even playful. I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful care we received at Neuse River Vet. Words cannot adequately express my deep gratitude. I will be entrusting all of our family pets care with NRV going forward.

Really upset with this time around. The first time we came ( my dog had a fatty tumor) they took care of it with no problems. This time around there were issues ( didnt want to take care of it even though they said they would and we live 2 hours away, its a long story, my husband pretty much told them to do it they argued back and forth and they finally said fine, and they finally did it) and felt like they over charged us. Not trying to make them look bad but it really upseted us because we had no problems getting it fixed the first time and figured to come back the 2nd to get it done and had problems.

I started taking my two dogs here in 2022 when we moved to wendell and they have been fantastic! Front desk staff is kind and responsive, and pricing is very fair. I also never feel pressured into unnecessary/expensive treatments. I highly recommend them!

Awesome experience. They were able to get my very sick kitty in the same day we called. My cat is very difficult to treat- he becomes possessed at the vet- so they let me stay with him and treated him in the room in the "front" rather than taking him in the back, which worked out better for all of us. They were extremely professional and caring and they will be our new vet as we just moved to Wendell. We have gone to many urgent cares and seen many vets over the past 13 years and I highly recommend Neuse River!

I love the new hospital for our area! It is beautiful and the level of care for my pets is just wonderful.The doctors and the medical staff are exceptional. Dr. Jones and all of the doctors I've met with take time to make sure my questions are answered to my satisfaction. I feel like the team loves my pets, just as much as the love their own pets.Great people - great treatment - very competitive prices. My boy received his first ever Acupuncture & Chiropractic exam followed by an adjustment. Dr. Meyer was very informative & attentive. His positive attitude was very relaxing & welcoming. I was told not to ride rest of day so adjustment would last longer. Next day we had a show & I could feel a difference! My boy did great & we took home Grand Champion in both our divisions & 3rd in our Open Jumper Classic! Dr. Meyer has MAGIC HANDS! Highly recommend

I advised the staff at beginning of appointment a vaccine needed to attend puppy training class at another facility. Instead of admitting they didn’t have that vaccine in stock, the vet insisted the vaccine her practice gave was more than comparable and suggested I contact training facility to advise. She even went as far to say I should insist on speaking to a manager at training facility to complain if they gave me any pushback. After discussing with training facility, I called Neuse River back to see if they would complete requested vaccine. Front desk person took a message and said vet tech would call back. 4.5 hours later I called Neuse River again to be told after a 5 minute hold time that they do not have that vaccine on site. Had I known that at 9am this morning I could have found another vet to administer the needed vaccine. Never during my hour long visit this morning was I told the vaccine wasn’t in stock. That is an untrustworthy act that has resulted in me taking my dog elsewhere. Honesty should be a key value at any kind of business.

It seemed like a nice place. However, after reading some of the reviews I'm not sure. I made contact with a big girl a big girl. I found it strange that she was not able to provide me with accurate pricing. I will have to give this some more thought. I also never received a call back.

Lack of continuity of care due to my senior dog being shuffled from one vet to another vet. I had to contact the office for results of bloodwork after one week because no one had called me. I spoke to a vet about the bloodwork results who had never examined him. Suddenly, I’m dealing with a vet that I have not met, nor has she examined my dog. Based on what she saw on his bloodwork, I agreed to her performing an all day test, but it would take another week to get an appointment. I was quoted one price for the test on the phone, then told a more expensive price when I brought in my dog for the test. I never had contact with the vet that examined him again. My dog was declining quickly, so I had already made an appointment with a mobile vet when I got the results of the test. After an exam by the mobile vet, the decision was made to euthanize him. This practice did not cause my dog’s death. However, he did not get the benefit of being treated by the same vet from start to finish, which possibly prolonged his suffering.

I drive all the way from SC to go to this vet. Everyone is so personable and friendly. They don't take advantage of you and only do what is absolutely necessary. They are always really quick and I tend to talk to others outside while I wait. I have been taking my dogs here for years and I absolutely love this vet. I can't wait for the new addition to open up.

Dr. Connie and her staff at Neuse River Vet Hospital really went above and beyond to help me navigate that godawful last appointment for my cat. They are truly compassionate professionals who made a very difficult moment a little bit easier.

Don’t let the fancy new facade fool you! This practice could care less about its patients and clients. My dog Lola saw Dr. Anne on Monday and diagnosed her with syncope episodes after she was given a description of my dogs behavior. I was able to capture video of exactly what was happening and called to make an appt to come back in. I was advised instead to email the videos. I waited 5 hours with no response and finally called again. The videos were reviewed and I received an email stating that it appeared she was in heart failure! What?! An email?! I emailed and attempted to call back to see if this was urgent and if we could get a cardiologist referral. No answer and the phone lines were shut off so they could make sure they were ready for their open house. I followed my instincts and took her to the emergency vet in Knightdale. She was immediately swept away for care. The ER vet told me that upon seeing the SAME videos we should have been told to go immediately to urgent care - she may not have survived 24 hours. 2 days later and we still have not received a response to our emails or a follow up call. This place does NOT care about your pets. We started going to this practice a year and a half ago and the prices were fair and the staff was caring. Now they have a fancy new building to pay for and prices have increased drastically and patient care has declined. Furthermore, I had a random charge on my bank account from their practice and talked to the front desk. I was told they have no record of charging that amount, told me it was weird, said they had someone else recently complain about the same issue, and then said take it up with your bank… what?! So my card is on file on this practice and I have random charges from them yet they are unconcerned. Please steer clear of this place and don’t be fooled by the fancy new building.

Everyone there was so great! They were all super friendly and caring! I absolutely loved that they allowed us to bring our other dog in, cause they NEED each other. Even though our other dog was way too excited to help keep our dog calm the doctors knew exactly how to handle him. They didn't do any unnecessary test to find out what was going on with him, which was something that I’ve experienced in the past with other vet offices. They covered everything really quick and didn’t leave us just waiting around forever either! This is a great office and we’ll definitely be back!
