My son's 18th birthday was Saturday and on Friday we realized through miss communication we forgot to order the cake. In comes Marge 👊🏾... I called around 10am to food lion to order the cake and Marge was amazing. She was so understanding and attentive to my dilemma. She took my order, noting the writing on the cake and colors to make this cake special in spite of it special eventhough it was last minute... and she had it done by 1pm on the same day. Marge is AMAZING!! Thank you Food Lion Wendell bakery.

I used to give this store 5 stars until today. Don't watch certain people at the self checkout. The African-American worker made it so obvious. Then had the audacity to wish me a Merry Christmas. WATCH EVERYBODY at the self checkout. Not just people you THINK are poor and gonna steal.

Bought $13.99 shrimp. Sign showed BOGO, 26-30 count cooked, which is what purchased. I was charged 2@13.99. Told customer service person who walked back to the freezer, came back with 2 bags raw, uncooked shrimp, said this is what is BOGO. I exchanged the ones I purchased for them thinking I read the sign wrong. She handed me the balance, but it was only $4 and change, far cry from almost $14. I went back and checked the sign.I was correct. I should have asked for the manager but was too annoyed to deal with it. Be aware of all transactions with these employees.

It was a nice store. I didn't see the whole store as I went there for a quick trip.From what I saw the place was clean.The produce section was nice a little on the small side but the things I looked at looked good. Prices of items were fine and they had the few items I came for.I didn't see a meat counter while I was there. So I am guessing they do not do fresh cut meat at this particular Food Lion.The parking lot was fine but I will say turning left onto the street can be a challenge, especially during rush hour.

Oldie but goodie, the staff if very helpful. When a bag of oranges wouldn't ring up the manager priced them at $1.50. She said she wasn't going to make customers wait and punish them if the distributors didn't mark their stuff the right way.

Very surprised by the variety here. It's a small store with great choices. Wish the customers weren't there or this would be my store of choice!The customers make it unpleasant. Be swift and have tough skin if you go there. You will get hit by carts, dodge cars driving too fast, and will probably hear racist commentary. Not on the store. Staff was excellent, though! They don't get enough credit for what they're dealing with and should definitely be paid more.

Terrible customer service from cashier on 2/21/23 @ 7:55pm register #1. No manager assistance.Since i can not leave another review, i will add it here.I had another terrible experience at this store today 5/24/23. I have not been here in 3 months. Today a very rude angry produce stocker said to me "just stop in the middle of the aisle its allright". This was at 5:45 pm. You need to find out why these people are so cranky. I will go to wegmans or interfood from now on.

I once went to a class about using coupons. But the best advice was, "If you really don't want to coupon, at least shop at Food Lion." I get what I need. Management is very helpful. And I get the best value for my money.

I just wanted to take a moment to highlight an employee, Austin. Twice, I went to the front to ask for help to get some water off the top shelf that was too high for my reach. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to come, I almost left until I saw Austin. I felt bad stopping him I knew he was on his way to clock out but, he helped me anyway with such a pleasant attitude. I thought he was just going to find someone to help me but nope, he helped and also went in the back to see if he could find more. He also spoke to the store manager on my behalf about the best day to come when the water is fully stocked (it’s very hard to come by). Customer service is really hard to come by these days and when I receive good service, I love to share. They need to hear it!! Also, cashier #0135, you’re too sweet. Sorry, I didn’t catch you’re name but you were so pleasant.

I love having a Food Lion near work! I can get my shopping done on my lunch break. I never have to wait long. Today I was in and out of there in 15 min! They have a great staff! Such hard workers!! They always have deals on good fruit too!

I enjoy shopping here instead of busy walmart. No waiting in long lines and shopping in crowds. Would rather give my business to the local stores. With the prices today i save sooo much more shopping here than the competitors. Just today cream cheese 2 for $5 competitor was one for$5!!!! My margarine i like was $2 cheaper here than the other store. I could go on and on comparing the prices. I just added another star today for them. Hope they keep it up

I was at this store this morning waiting to get in at 6 a.m. for Senior shopping. I was the second person in line. When I got in, while trying to get a cart, I was nearly knocked over by 2 women who ran into the store and were obviously NOT seniors. Other than that I think you and your employees are doing a great job.

Very disappointed in the customer service. The company I work for is doing a Turkey give away and came in to but 55 turkeys was told by the manager in meat department last week they would have to charge us 39 cents abs verses 29 get there today to pick the turkeys up they ring them up and say they can give them to us got 139 a lbs. Not good when we are trying to do good for the community

Stores well stocked and well staffed even at Christmas and New Year's. Their prices are very reasonable and so far everything I've purchased whether name brand or food Lion Brand have been good quality products.
