The staff is helpful and polite. Most staff is if you don't come at the like an A@#hole. Lol. We come in mostly for the songbird food. But they have food for cats, dogs, chickens, deer, game birds etc. They have some very competitive prices.

I purchased a Stihl gas blower from this store.Customer service was perfect !Cory filled the tank with gas and explained everything in detail. He also registered the warranty while I was there.Thanks Ace of Waxhaw!Great customer service!

Just had the greatest experience shopping in this store. Barely got in the door before I had someone asking if we needed any help. Not in a pushy way but just a small town feel way. Ended up buying a new Stihl edger and before I left they took it back and started it up to make sure everything ran.Took a minute to realize what great service was and not just rushing in and rushing out. By the end of it got a free hotdog and a great shopping experience. I will start shopping here instead of Lowe’s from now on.

This is a review of the Ace hardware store located in downtown Waxhaw North Carolina.I believe the owners changed around 2 years ago and now this store is absolutely fantastic. The staff there is awesome always smiling friendly and very helpful the store layout is slightly different than it used to be and it's much better in my opinion now. Things are laid out in an orderly fashion easy to find everything is well lit clean and neat and again there's always somebody there to help you.HUGE change from the previous owners and it is welcomed many of us in town have started coming back here again because the place is fantastic now.If you didn't like this store in the past please give them a try now because it is totally totally different absolutely great place now love coming here 💞

Friendly staff and super helpful. Lots more stock of the true "hardware" stuff like fasteners and other bits than the big box store. Yard machine and small engine repair center is great. Great stock of grill parts and tools as well. Cut to size glass for art while you wait.

Great staff. Small town energy and decent prices. You just feel good getting supplies there. Cleaning stuff, batteries, lawn equipment etc. Not the selection of a Home Depot but a solid, good, neighborhood, friendly hardware store. Always my first choice.

Would love to give this plays five stars. The people were generally friendly but the store hours show different for the store and the parts department online. The parts department person did not disclose this and wasted an hour of my time driving to the store.

Not being able to buy lawn mower parts from your store on a Sunday makes you not so helpful of a place.Yes seriously I walked into your shop with three people working one guy at the register one guy at the paint desk and one guy walking around I was only person in there I didn't need service I just needed a part the same part that Lowe's has sitting on the shelf that they were just out of the only reason I stopped at your place I don't need a service tech I just need to be able to grab a part off the hook

Always greeted when I enter and asked if I need help. If I bring in a propane tank for refill, I only wait a minute and someone takes it.I like the large selection bird feeders and garden decorations.Also a large selection of grilling accessories especially for Big Green Egg and Traeger.Nice selection of hand and power tools and the re-vamped paint department makes for pleasant shopping.The biggest little store in Waxhaw!

I hate leaving reviews for chains, but I do think that good service and exceptional work deserves mention.I went in there for a few things to hang pictures with, and I was IMMEDIATELY greeted and helped. I forget the gentleman's name - otherwise I would give him a shout out - but he was amazing... treated me like an old friend he hadn't seen in a while.Nice and clean store with great employees - what is not to love?

This place has been updated. I also feel like the selection has improved since we were there last. Also, we needed paint to touch up some holes in our living room, they didn't have the brand at the store but they were able to match up what we needed exactly to our paint color so we didn't have to go to a different store. We had a pleasant experience and the staff was so helpful. We were very appreciative!

They seem to carry good selection of top brands...also have greatly improved there equine/livestock feed selection. Easy parking and location makes for great alternative to big box hardware stores

5/13/2022Called the store at 5:55 PM to pick up my online order to tell them that I am outside to do curbside pick up. The man angrily answered the phone with a nasty attitude telling me they are about to close. I told him, my wife was outside the store, and he proceeded to tell me to pull around the gated area to the back of the store. Very unsafe for a woman to pull to the back of a building to the warehouse side. That's not curbside pick up...next time I will go to LOWES. Not happy!

The classic neighbourhood hardware store, anything and everything under one small roof. They even have a small equipment repair shop in the back. Very well kept store. Staff is always nearby to help you. It's really a better experience than the big box stores, each has their place and I'm glad ACE is still the place.

The people at ACE are very knowledgeable and usually very helpful. They carry items you can't find at Lowe's or Home Depot, plus they do repairs, on small engines like lawn mowers. But, their selection is relatively lean and the prices are higher.

Nice to have a proper hardware store in town. I've been in the Waxhaw Ace store a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. Along with the usual hardware items they've got great grilling options like green egg, etc. Friendly staff, good selection, try them out before you hit the big box stores and you may be pleasantly surprised.

First to be clear the people that work there are very nice and polite. But is review is about the inventory and selection. In a word it is horrible. This is by far the worst Ace hardware I have ever been to and I have always preferred to go to the local mom and pop stores over the big chains. Don't waste your time going here unless you are sure they have what you need ahead of time.

Friendly as could be! Usually have what I need. Just a little slow at the registers but I try not to go there if I am in a rush. Really nothing to worry about though. If you do not have the physical copy of a receipt (even if u have a picture of it) and paid cash they can not give you cash back for a return. They do put it back on q debit card though. Weird but fine.

I recently bought a new stihl gas blower and the staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products. I did have a manufactur issue with the blower but they where very quick to swap it out for another one without any issues. I was certainly recommend spending a little extra with the local hardware store and keeping the business local, you can't find there knowledge and experience at the big box stores.

These guys carry the organic lawn care supplies that I've been using for years. I make a special trip from Matthews a couple times a year just for this. They're super helpful every single time!
