I had a terrible racist experience at Aldi, with a cashier named Holliday. She was extremely disrespectful and aggressive towards me and my mother. Additionally, she assumed I didn’t speak English fluently, speaking to me slowly and condescendingly after I was talking in Spanish with my mom (which doesn’t imply any lack of English fluency). As I was about to leave, I tried to take the cart, but she aggressively pulled it, asserting, “This is MY cart,” using hand signals as if I couldn’t understand. This action resulted in her hurting my arm, which I’m sure she did realize. Despite an empty cart being available, she insisted on not using it. After discussing the issue with her manager, we were able to take the cart without any problem, highlighting her overreaction. Apologizing didn't even occur to her, and it's puzzling how she failed to grasp that her actions toward a CUSTOMER were entirely inappropriate. I've been shopping at Aldi for years and have never encountered such behavior. Generally, everyone is nice and helpful, but this individual was the complete opposite. It's very unfortunate since I won't be setting foot in any Aldi again.

We shop here often. Good selection of produce, deli items, wines and novelty items for the home and kids too. Frozen foods and refrigerated section are also pretty expansive and shelves have always been stocked when I've gone. Parking is ample and store is clean. Would recommend.

Who doesn't love Aldi. It's a great store to go with a basic list and open to try new things. Their prices are fantastic. I do look closely at the produce before I buy it. Can't beat their prices on wine.

It's really cheap and the cheapest organic products I've seen. Check the quality of the produce - it's not always fresh. Many items they have are available on a rotation basis. You're going to need a quarter to get a cart. They don't provide bags and they don't bag your items - you might need to bring your own bags or grab their carton boxes or buy reusable bags.

This is pretty much my primary grocery store. I only go to the others if I must. I mostly appreciate the prices and the diversity in what is available to me. Sometimes we feel like trying to do a vegetarian night or I have friends who are gluten free. Having products available for people who are very picky about what they put in their bodies is so great!

Employees tonight were extremely rude. I'd advise your employees to consider having a tad more compassion for its shoppers. I checked out at 8:07 and they closed at 8. I shopped as quickly as I could. I suffer from chronic pain due to medical issues and I'm 5 months pregnant. I was reminded of what time they close by the staff but never asked if I needed help finding anything. The employees locked me into the store and I had to unlock and force open the sliding door myself.As someone who has had many job where I'm cleaning, organizing, etc for hours after closing - its not necessary to be so rude about a couple minutes. It was extremely hard for me to even muster up the strength to shop today. Thanks a lot.

I've been in this new location several times. And I'm always greeted by the same smiling face. Ms Diamond is a blessing, my kids love her she is always so happy to be there and suggesting new things. Her dynamic goes perfect with the nice new clean store. The prices are a bit higher than regular Aldi but the atmosphere and close drive are worth it.

I was met at the front by staff who gave me a disinfected cart during these covid 19 times. The store was clean, aisles are wide and clear. The veggie/fruit section is awesome! All the staff were helpful and appeared to be enjoying their day. I love that! Two thumbs up guys

I love Aldi. The prices are always right and they're almost always fully stocked on the items I want most. I easily save over 20.00 per Trip versus other supermarkets for very similar items. They also reacted fast to the pandemic by cleaning the carts after each use and having employees wear masks. I also wear a mask for their safety. Thumbs up, way up.

Aldi's prices are great but I find a problem with the freshness of many of their fresh produce. Many vegetables are moldy by the second day and bananas spoil before they ripen properly.However the dairy, meats and cheeses are excellent both in variety and quality.

I love Aldi, but every time I’ve been in this location the thermometers are never at the right temperature- always at 45-50 degrees which is obviously not food safe. Makes me not want to buy refrigerated items here.Store is clean and the staff is really friendly though.

I like Aldi because it is not a big store and they do not change things around very often. Therefore, I know where everything is and am not exhausted coming out of the store. I can buy more groceries for my money there. It is usually pretty busy, but the customers are usually considerate...compared to Walmart. I try and include as many organic items into our family's diet as possible and they have many choices for decent prices.

Off-the-chart rudeness by certain register clerks. They may be disgruntled but that's no reason to treat their loyal customers like dirt. Throwing fragile grocery items into the cart (or on the floor then cart) just to spite management is a lose-lose attitude for everyone. If you can't treat customers with a shred of dignity then invest in Wal-Mart's self-checkouts.

Great store and employees. They get 2 starts because they are taking advantage of the lack of choices in the area and the affluent neighborhood. Aldi has $0.99 cent milk in their nearest location a few miles away but charge $2.87 here. Same price gouging on most of their other products as well.

On my way home from dental surgery. Popped in ALDI for some ibuprofen. Worker helped me fined it. Cashier checked me out even though she had put up a closed sign. Much appreciated as I was in pain.

I ran in to Aldi in waxhaw Saturday morning at 10:30am. I had to get 1 pack of chicken. When I approached the front to checkout, there was only 1 cashier and 13 guest online waiting to checkout. When I asked the only person I saw working there what was going on, he was very sarcastic and unfriendly. I left the chicken and decided to shop elsewhere.

SHOP HERE FIRST!!! Let me first say I have been truly disappointed in the abundant decline in both customer service and quality in many grocery(and restaurant!) locations, especially Walmart. I have over 25 years management experience and I can honestly say that Aldi, and especially the staff and management at the Waxhaw location, are far more superior than anywhere around. The manager, Ann, went over and so far beyond what the staff at the other chains fall way short on. I feel welcomed every time I go there, everyone is smiling, polite and helpful. The quality of the produce, meat, cheese and bread put their large chain neighbor to shame. You can tell the staff takes pride in their appearance and the cleanliness of their workplace. I also must add in case you didn't know, that Aldi has some extraordinary deals on some non-food items for the home as well-make sure you check out what they offer in that seasonal section-Ann recommended a 4 shelf Tall 2 door cabinet that was only $19.99, It is a quality piece of merchandise made by "Work Zone" that is far better quality than the one I purchased from Walmart for more than twice that amount! These hidden gems I will now always check out here!! And I must thank you again for my mother, she finally gets actual "fresh" produce(especially the fruit). Whatever you are doing, keep it up and you will remain my family and friends first choice in Waxhaw

Aldi"s is a Great place to get your monthly grocery items, and I like their fresh fruits.. blueberries strawberries, mangoes, pineapples, bananas, peaches, oranges etc., just to name a few.

The store is amazing. Probably one of the biggest Aldi's I have ever been in. I'm only taking off a star because it was my first trip to this location and the staff was not impressive. They all acted like they didn't want to be there. It was a little disappointing.

Aldi is a very refreshing place to shop! Same item found in the main grocery stores, something a rebranded with an off brand look but significantly cheaper (name brand still makes it the food, just packages it different for Aldi). Great produce selection, fair amount of vegan options in the frozen food section. I'd love to see some oat milks...

It's ok. If you're going there on purpose, you expect to pay less, and that's very clear immediately. From the moment you try and get a cart and realize that you need to unlock it with a quarter, the tone is set, and maintained throughout the experience.
