The thing that stood out the most to me as an out of towner stopping by Hardware Cafe was the small town local vibes. Everyone greeting one another by name. The exceptional customer service. It creates a wonderfully tranquil and quaint environment. The food was pretty good. I wish the sandwiches were a little more loaded up with the meat but they probably serve the appropriate amount to keep the price points low. We found Hardware Cafe to be very affordable for our lunch. I would definitely recommend stopping by and enjoying good food in the presence of good people.

It was the only Cafe around and alot of police officers were eating there, just be good and local right? I was a little disappointed at the prices. While the food was good, i felt like 8.99 for a grilled cheese sandwich was a bit much. The potato salad was a large serving and the best I've ever had!!

So I am a transplant from the northeast to the south and am still not used to small town living. One of my biggest complaints is the lack of basic services, including a decent restaurant. Then I tried the Hardware Cafe, which I have always passed thinking it was a local hardware store and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a charming, bistro type eatery with some pretty good food. I tried the stuffed chicken with a baked potato and lobster bisque, yum. This entree was absolutely delicious. The young lady behind the counter was friendly, warm and very helpful in explaining the menu . I loved the unique atmosphere and the very relaxing background music. I purchased my food to go, but the music and chill atmosphere caused me to sit, play some candy crush and relax out for a few minutes. To top it all off I had a slice of the yellow cake with mandarin orange inside and it was so good. Will definitely be returning to this nearby gem.

First time diners. Pastrami and Swiss cheese sanwich (called the Lure), pimento cheese sandwich (called the Shotgun), potato salad, lobster bisque, Hershey cake, and chocolate chess pie were all very tasty! Only a 10 minute wait between order and food to the table. Pleasant cashier and server. A+ 99.5 sanitation rating!! We recommend!

All the charm of a small town, but an incredible menu that rivals big city sandwich shops. I think it's really great that this century old hardware store was converted into this incredible restaurant. I really like that all of the dishes are named after hardware tools. To top off the ambiance here, they had the Andy Griffith show on a constant stream on the TV at lunch. On the old hardware shelves they have a lot of local products for sale, including coffees and teas. They have new specials every day and specials on Friday and Saturdays. Great homemade food. Better than moms. Try their homemade desserts...you will thank me. They have a really good Reuben that they call the Hammer, and a pastrami sandwich, that will make you want more, they call the Lure. Great service to boot. I will definitely be back to work my way through the tool chest of sandwiches.

Great little sandwich shop. Staff was great loved the feel and look of the place was like stepping back in time. Ordered the Cowbell fresh Prime rib, horses radish, and Au jus on a fresh roll. Definitely recommend. Take time to look at the decor while waiting for your food you could probably see something you missed each time. I also had the special sausage sandwich which was also great.

Cutest little sandwich shop. The guy running the place was so polite. Food came really quick. Great place for a quick lunch. It's a restored hardware store, they kept a lot of the original things which adds to the character a lot. Loved it! I'll definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian available.Dietary restrictions: Diet options available.Parking: Free street parking.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

Great little shop! Very clean, extremely friendly staff and outstanding selection of teas and coffee. I especially appreciate that they are the only place in town with wifi...even if it is a bit slow.

Staff is extremely friendly. Ordered bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. EVERYTHING including the biscuit was homemade. Biscuit tasted just like my grandma made it. Prices are also very good!
