We had to put down our family dog here. I’ve been coming to Walkertown vet with my 3 dogs for years. We were there about 30 minutes after close and they wouldn’t even WAIT 15 minutes for my dad (who our family dog was closest to) to get there to say goodbye. They put him to sleep fast and didn’t even care how bad that hurt my dad for not being there for his best friend. I am no removing my 3 dogs from this vet and my family is removing there other dog from here too, do not come here.

I've been taking my 3 dogs here for over 4 years. My two older ones are 6 my youngest one is 3. All have been going to WVH since they were months old. I've personally never had a bad experience here with the staff or with the pricing of things.(Photo of my 3 fur-babies)

We are so thankful and appreciative that Walkertown Veterinary Hospital accepted us as new clients! Nikole, a receptionist was the first face we saw at Walkertown. She was very sweet and very helpful. Your interaction with the first person you meet is super important. It sets the tone for the rest of your experience there.Dr. Morton has been our saving grace! One of our cats hasn't had a true exam in several years because she becomes very aggressive when going to a Vet. Dr. Morton was more than happy to see her and knew exactly what to do. Dr. Morton has now seen 3 of our 6 cats and has been nothing less than Amazing!!! I just can't say enough about her. She is super personable, sweet, caring, and knowledgeable. She is the best Vet we have ever had, and we feel so fortunate and blessed to have found her!!!Thank you Dr. Morton

No compassion. My young son took our dog to Walkertown Veterinary Hospital Friday February 9, 2024. Our dog of 11 years had not been feeling well & took a drastic turn for the worse Friday. The vet noticed his abdomen was tender & recommended a sonar scan. He was diagnosed with a large mass on his spleen. Surgery would be painful, recovery long & difficult & not humane. If it were cancerous, he would not live long.Euthanasia was the best option for a pet we loved & wanted to spare further pain. My wife & I were out of town & started driving to the vet immediately. We didn’t want our young son to be alone with our beloved pet. We informed the vet, we arrive would 15 minutes after the office closed. They wouldn’t wait & our hearts were broken!Think twice about going here if you seek a compassionate team to care for your pets.

Absolutely fantastic Vet! Had an emergency this morning, my normal vet couldn't take care of my dog. He was bleeding from a bite and they were the only ones to bring him in after 4 other vets (including emergency vets) could not. Nikole was great, has my total trust and will now be my go to vet.

Yesterday 12/23/23 I arrived home to find Our loving family member of 14 years had suffered a severe seizure that left him with no muscular activity and barely panting. Gently, I drove Us to the Hospital to have his suffering ended. When I arrived , I knocked on a side door and got the attention of a staff member and explained to Her the situation , and asked for a gurney to lay Our pet on so I could bring Him in with as little discomfort as possible. After waiting several minutes I lost patience, and proceeded to cradle Him and walk to the front entrance. Standing at the door, 2 staff members observed Me there, and neither a one ,so much as even flinched to come and open the door for Me. ( To the Gentleman that got the door for Me, Thank You). Once inside, I asked for Him to be euthanized. Mind you, there wasn't but one person in the lobby at the time, yet the parking lot was full, as to where I had to park in a Handicap spot to start with. so Instead of allowing our pet to be laid down to put Him in some form of comfort, I had to sit on the bench cradling him. Finally, I was directed to a room ,not 6 feet from Me as to where I could lay Him down. Once in, a staff member came in and informed Me that a payment would have to be processed before such an act of ending Your pets life could be carried out, and he than proceeded to try to sell Me different personalized after passing goodies they offered. That's when I lost it. In a second I realized that Our beloved Pet's suffering would not end until the swipe of the card and payment was made. Real good service after that. Shame on each and everyone of You for prioritizing Your establishment to a dollar made rather than the Humane treatment of animals. I wasn't there for a flea treatment, I was there to end the suffering of Our Pet. You People really need to revisit Your Policy's and Procedures in the event that another Family has to bring their Pet in for this. Any for the Veterinarian Tech that gave Me the stern look, my thoughts were tenfold of You. Sorry I interrupted Your Christmas party.

Everyone is super nice! They were tolerable of my very whiney pit 😂😂 it was a bit more expensive than anticipated tbh. We came in for an ear infection and spent $176.

I live in Walkertown. I just got a puppy and needed to get her checked out. This is their new location, which is behind Food Lion. This new building is so much brighter, bigger and better than the other building. I love how professional and friendly the staff is at all times. I was pleased with my bill of $150 for my puppy's exam, dewormer, another shot, heart worm pill, and Bravecto. This is a great veterinarian office!

I am so happy with Walkertown Veterinarian. I lost both of my dogs within three weeks of each other quite unexpectedly. Everyone was so incredibly kind and compassionate when I took my sweet boys to them for cremation. They checked on me. They took both paw prints and paw impressions. They sent me cards. They are gentle and loving with my 20-year-old kittie as well as my new little Pug. Getting appointments are very easy and they take time with me and my critters. We are never rushed. ❤️ And - they don’t know this yet - but we are adding to our family which means we are adding to the Walkertown Veterinary family to. That’s the little black female pug in the photos!! ❤️

Amazing staff, very friendly and knowledgeable without being the stiff persona of an office / clinic. Addresses all questions and concerns with feedback in how to move forward with your pet.

This place deserves to be shut down and forgotten about forever. From my personal experience this place was terrible, i brought my 1 year old kitten here because she was throwing up constantly and i wanted to see if she would get better but after a couple days i brought her here. When we came in we described what had been going on and they didn’t know, whatever. They asked if we wanted and x-ray or for them to take a look down her throat. We told them to go ahead and take a look down her throat and so they went to the back with her for a good thirty minutes. After a while they come back to the room and tell us she’s gone, and i was like “did she run away or something” but no they gave her to much anesthesia to where she just died. They had no care or simpathy in the world, that was my little baby and if this review will stop it from happening to others then i hope this helps.

We switched to Walkertown Vet after one of out fur babies passed away and I just couldn't bare to go back to our old vet. We have always had a good experience. The front desk staff is friendly and loves our pups. It's usually not super crowded in the waiting room which is great for our anxious girl and they get us back quickly. I'm happy with our decision to move our babies care to them. Lucy and Lenny are happy too!

Nice new building with updated equipment. Dr. Scott no longer there but new vet staff friendly and exhibited genuine care for my pets.

We have been coming to this vet for a couple years now and our cat has been super sick. When it was very evidently his time to cross the rainbow bridge, instead of the vet consoling with us, he proceeded to give us multiple ways to prolong his life. And even stated “I have seen cats in much worse states than this that have lived longer.” He did not see our cat day to day and didn’t even have a medical history with him. It came off very rude and abrasive and was not a good experience when we were already very sad about the situation.

I've met two of the vets and am very pleased. They are very nice, and I don't have to watch my dog suffer (from the shots) because they get him out of the car and take him inside for me!

They got my puppy in within an hour of me calling as a new patient cause my puppy was so sick. Service was excellent. We even had to bring our puppy back to be admitted for IV fluids and medications. Best vet office I’ve ever been to. Highly recommended. Stay is incredible. Even my puppy’s doctor would call personally with updates. Dr Fox hands down truly cares about our family and our puppy.

Walkertown Veterinary Hospital has taken good care of our personal dogs and our fostered pups before they find forever homes. We appreciate them being kind, informative, and so personable to interact with! We are given options and education on what the options mean, and then allowed to make the best choice for our animals. Great people who love our dogs like their own.

I will never trust Dr. Maria with my cat's life ever again. I have never meant such a cold hearted vet in my life. Not a single shred of humanity. She's just a cold hearted person who only wants what is best for her despite what is best for the owners pet. I took my cat Ezio there and I had the absolute worst experience in my life with that veterinarian. I would have rather had Dr Scott or Dr Fox take care of him then I know he would get the perfect treatment. Dr. Maria acting like we were abusing our cat.

I’ll give two stars because of the convenient location of this place and the front desk staff has always been nice. I have never read reviews on this place until after my first and last visit with Dr. Fox. It seems all of the bad reviews are about him. After my last visit with him, I will not be back. I won’t go into extreme detail like I want to but I do not appreciate how he talked and treated me and my dog. If I’m not mistaking he owns the place and I have no wonders in the world of why this place can’t keep staff. Everything about this place is suspicious and there’s just red flags everywhere.

Wonderful place to take your pet! The staff is extra nice and very kind! You are not rushed and they do not mind your asking questions unlike some others we’ve experienced. Great service.
