So aggressive with over pricing on every so call special item. I’ve been going here since they built this location and this by far the worst I’ve seen with this location. The old lady in the back so caught up with eBay lol. Just price the dang thing at decent price and keep it movingEdit 1/24/24Copy and paste response as always nobody benefits from these higher prices increase but higher ups just pure greedBarbara Maida-Stolle Takes home $250k why stores employee get paid $10 and you’re up charging every free item you get ? They are entirely overpriced! People give things to goodwill so that the less fortunate can shop there to buy clothes and shoes etc. but they have jacked the prices up entirely to much. Not to mention I have spoken with people who have worked for goodwill or used to and they treat the employees horribly. I know not every store has the same people. But this store in particular is one that does employees wrong. If you work for them and you have family come and shop or customers that love you and get things for u without u asking you will be made out a thief. Even though it was PAID for. Not only that can’t get another job due to stealing put on the record when it’s a lie. I hope this review reaches a lot of ex employees that will reach out to me so that I can get a petition started.

Super friendly staff. The cashier did not get stressed even though I had a buggy full of items and his line was backed up. He's still respected me and my items and didn't didn't show that he was under any type of pressure as I've seen some do at times. All of the others on the floor especially the older gentleman in the back, unfortunately I don't know his name, he is super friendly along with the rest of the employees. So I just want to say thank you to everyone there at the store for making my Saturday morning a pleasant one.

Goodwill has become very overpriced. Overpriced for junk and way overpriced for the good items. I've seen things in here at high prices that have been there for months because no one wants to pay that for used items. It would be better to move through inventory faster instead of having so much stuck on the shelves that's doesn't sell or crowds things that might. Also staff has purposely charged for items that I did not purchase. I did not catch it before I left the store but I will be double checking my receipts from now on before stepping out of the door.

I search this location once every week or two in search of hidden treasures, and am fairly often successful. Like some reviews have mentioned, their prices have increased but that doesn’t bother me too much; obviously there’s someone out there that just wants the product more than I do at that price. What keeps me coming back is the hunt and the friendliness of the staff.I’ve never reviewed this location despite my ongoing patronage and something I witnessed yesterday really needed to be pointed out.I saw a man come in just before closing (they had even made their closing announcement), attempting to drop off a large trailer full of items. This is despite signs on the door dictating when items can be donated. He had already ignored the “masks required” signs, communicating that the rules of private business did not apply to him.As he was denied his want, he began to throw a tantrum. This man was easily 6’2”, 250 pounds and in his forties. He began to accost the employees, all of whom were women, and cause a scene. He began to curse, threaten, and yell at a female employee half his physical stature and age. He had tried to bribe her into taking his junk before his meltdown.She did not waiver one but. She stood her ground and remained professional, respectful, and steadfast when she addressed this grown man who was becoming increasingly aggressive. As customers, my partner and I had even become worried he was going to become violent.Despite it all, the employees never lost their cool. They abided by the rules that they repeated and calmly explained while somehow remaining respectful to a disrespectful man throwing a tantrum in the middle of a store.These people aren’t paid nearly enough to deal with customers like that, and yet as the county sheriffs dealt with the belligerent man outside, they remained positive and unnerved. I applaud these employees and hope that management recognizes them for their performance, as I am greatly impressed. Service and retail workers put up with far more negativity than they should.

My experience here was disgusting and I will surely never go back. My husband and I picked up a piece of furniture and didn't see a price sticker on it. We waited in line and as we were checking out, we asked the cashier what the price was for the item. She looked at us with such disdain and said that there is a price on it. We explained that we didn't see one. She argued and mentioned again that there is a price on there. At this point, she is not helping us and is embarrassing us in front of other people. My husband asked her if she could just tell us what it would cost, she said no. He asked if we should put it back, she said no. At this point we realize she is accusing us of taking off the sticker. We also realize she's doing this because of our skin color. This is off putting because she is a woman of color herself. Because of this prejudice, we will not shop here again.

They had some nice stuff but the prices were to high. The staff had one associate that was friendly but the other 2 not so much... I know they help people with on the job training and that's great. I know it cost them to do so but they seem to have forgot they're Goodwill. They're selling items people have donated. Some of the items are the same things I've bought in the Dollar Tree or General Dollar. Their price were the same or higher than I'd paid for them new at those stores. They were also overpriced on the other items people had donated. I also looked at my sister's receipt when we got home and they over charged her on some of the infant clothes ( maybe the associate was new) but I told her to take them back and have them fix it cause every dollar counts nowadays and it's also the principal of it. I'm not looking for them to give me anything for free but I would like them to remember that the majority of the items have been used, where not brand new even though it was priced as new or more and to be reasonable with their prices.

Came up to the store to donate and nobody came to assist me with my items mind you now I just has a hip replacement not long ago and had to end up unloading all my items seen there was an attendant at the door doing paperwork and he never acknowledged me after I nicely asked for help , I had to cut short the rest of my day to go home and get off my leg from hurting so bad, thank god an employee came from her break to help at the last minute with some fragile items, now she was a sweetheart whoever she was but that other guy who was the attendant needs to be more adequate trained on pausing his or her tasks to assist customers then resume their activities

Sales associate / cashier could have been a little more courteous when I went to her for assistance to get into fitting room. She stated to me how customers were supposed to leave the fitting room doors ajar for the fitting rooms, however the sign plainly states the door should be locked at all times and to ask an associate for assistance. Which I did, and which she clearly got an attitude. So I just put my merchandise back down after getting in there and just said, ' you know what I'll just go somewhere else and shop".

I was traveling around the area and loved the convenience of this location as I was passing through Winston-Salem. I approached an employee to ask if this location did the color of the week deals, like other goodwills in other areas. I received a snotty and rude “no.” From an employee who looked at me with the most disgusted expression. This same employee, five minutes later started an altercation with a co-worker at the register over the pricing of an item. They argued in front of multiple customers- very loudly- for several minutes before my husband and I decided to put away our things and leave.

Nice staff, but prices keep going up. Some used stuff is higher there than brand new in stores.I understand their overhead, but if any shoes have nike, regardless of condition they are charging 17 a pair and up.Ebay actually beats this store on most prices.Once again the staff is great, just rhe prices keep going up and up

Wouldn’t let me try on my clothes “because it was 30 minutes before they closed” never had this problem before had only a few items it was 5:20pm and they close at 6:00pm they also locked the doors 20 minutes before they clothes

Jenny, the store manager is RUDE & unprofessional. I heard her call out someone in front of a store full of people because he didn’t have enough money for all the items in his shopping cart. She was talking very loudly about how no one could buy the items now because they had to be put in quarantine. How ridiculous! I touched lots of items in the store & didn’t buy them. Her behavior in front of all those people is inexcusable. She has no business in a management position.

Be very, very careful of any electronics you buy here or at any Goodwill. 75% of the electronics I've bought here were defective. They do not test them beyond plugging them in to see if they light up. They do not have the manpower or intelligence or time to actually test functionality **correctly**. IF you do purchase anything electronic make certain you test it FULLY on your own within their 7 day return window - they will hide behind that policy for sure when you bring their defective junk back on day 8.

Friendly. Polite. Good item selection. Some items overpriced b/c of brand, even though stained. Poorly run! I've never written a bad review before, but I'm angry! After a stressful night at the hospital, I was looking forward to some GW retail therapy! But 2 poor policies made for a lousy shopping experience! 1. They have a policy on big items where u tear off 1/2 the ticket and take it to the register. But if a person tore the ticket, changed their mind and then left the store, they can't sell the item. I wanted 1 of these items. I had to wait while they asked around and got permission from management to ask customers over the intercom if anyone had the other 1/2 of the ticket. Someone did have it. And it was fair that she have the item. But the policy wasted a lot of my time! Other GW stores say if there's a big item u want, come to the register immediately to purchase it. They'll tag it sold on the floor and u can continue shopping. 2. They have a policy on some higher priced items behind the register. I was told by 1 salesperson I couldn't put the item I wanted in my cart, that they would hold it. Instead, a second salesperson mistakenly sold it to another customer! It was a unique item I'll never find in GW again!! Both salespeople blamed each other! No accountability! Management was at fault too for having this poor policy & system in place! I was treated like I was a bad person for complaining. I didn't yell. I didn't curse. But I complained a lot and feel bad about it. I was already disappointed about the first item I'd waited on over 30 minutes. And I was REALLY excited about the item they sold! It was their error! And I had a right to be upset!! (Management did say they were going to discuss a better holds policy at their next meeting). So after nearly 2 hours in the store, I left with a few items, but not the 2 I was most excited about! (Btw I've had 2 items taken from my cart & purchased by customers in 2 other Goodwills, including 1 item I'd already payed for but was too big to put in a bag!! So moral of the story...if u find something awesome in GW, no matter their policy, don't wait. Buy it immediately, put it in your car, and then finish your shopping!!)

Love the store but hate the customers who come in and shop. Just about every person walking in grabs a shopping cart. A shopping cart which is wide enough to take up the whole aisle in Goodwill. I mean honestly who walks into Goodwill grabs a shopping cart and thinks yeah I'm going to fill this bad boy up before I leave. Heck 30% of the time I walk out with nothing. These same people will take up the whole aisle then look at you like you are in their way. I don't know maybe I'm wrong, just something that's been on my mind.

Guess Walkertown in not part of the Triad because they said they don't take the Goodwill coupons. Be nice to know that before I lose $8 in savings. Nice store but I won't be back.
