Very disappointed!We ordered a cake for my daughter's Birthday and this is what they gave us. Unprofessional and embarrassing for food lion. Whoever did this obviously didn't care. I'll go somewhere else to buy a cake tomorrow, I won't give this to my child.

Always well staffed & well-trained employees. Very courteous and always willing to lend a hand! Even in self take out unlike other stores they actually help you with whatever they can and have no issues answering questions! You get immediate answers or are directed to someone who can help inform you. versus feeling like a a nuisance for asking a question 🌹🌷 also ***) CASH BACK IS 100% FREE WITH NO PURCHASE REQUIRED***as long as it's not at self checkout ( bc only shows option after ringing up an item)...

I've never had a bad experience here. The staff is always friendly, and the products are competitively priced, especially considering the other grocery stores in Walkertown are pretty pricey. Everything is easy to find.

08/18/2022 10:58PM: Entered checkout lane 6 for checkout as the store is closing. A white pimple-faced young female is cleaning out a cash drawer next to it and speaks -- a black female plain clothes manager is straight ahead from the register and speaks -- and another voice from unknown is yelling that she is own her way -- and promptly appeared.I tell everyone to take their time -- I realize they are closing and all.The white pimple-faced female turns around with her drawer full of cash and smarts-off saying: "Yeah -- coming through here at the last minute is not a good idea"... as she runs off toward the safe/cash office.By this time -- my cashier a middle aged white female -- had appeared and started ringing up my order. The black female manager and this cashier heard this younger pimple faced females remark -- and giggled. I asked the pimple faced girl if she could repeat her remark and provide an explanation as to why she felt that way -- TWICE.After the second time -- the plain clothes black female manager was giggling and laughing -- so I look her dead in the eye and ask her what she though was funny? She laughed and giggled again and thought that apparently she did not have to answer a white male -- being smarted off to -- by a pimple faced white female.I turn to my cashier and ask if I am seeing and hearing all this correctly -- and she had done locked-up because she knew it was not right -- but in fear of her job -- would not say another word.I asked this female THREE times who this managers name is -- and she finally did answer me -- but it was so low -- I did not hear a thing.I see the cashier on my way to the front door -- that usually waits on me -- every week when I come in at this time. I tell him what just happened -- and all he told me was he was trying his best to find another job and get out of there. He agreed with a lot of not-so-nice choice words -- that I was referring to these females as.I will be reaching out to Food Lion Corporate, the local store manager and the NC Attorney General. We are going to get one thing straight with anyone working a service industry job -- you work and serve others. If you do not like it -- you are going to have to start staying home -- instead of going to work -- just to worry about going home -- and causing grief for customers just trying to get by.There is ONE Manager and at least ONE cashier that will need to be fired for this.Note to this manager: Your job is to lead and set an example. If this is an example of the leadership and mentoring abilities you are capable of -- where did you get your education or training? You failed miserably.You did not properly respond to a cash paying customer -- when asked a polite and proper question. Laughing at this situation is a form of bullying -- and given the politics of 2022 -- also considered a form of racism.This location has went to dogs -- and this is a shining example of who and what -- has put it there.Rude, and very RACIST staff!!! And that is how quick it went from polite -- take your time -- out of my mouth -- to I am having to reign in childish behaviors. UNBELEIVABLEI would sure hate to be around these people during their special times of month -- if this is how they act as normal or a one off having a bad day -- mistakes.There are no excuses for this type of behavior except someone made a mistake and hired the wrong people -- for these positions.

If i could give 0 stars i would.Most if not all of their cheese had mold in the packageRude, and very RACIST staff!!! Employees refused to give me information about how to sign up for their MVP program but a white woman asked the same question and immediately got help.They simply told me "it looks like you can afford to shop without it."A manager even came over to ask if everything was OK and when I informed them of the employees rude remark I was told that never happened ed and the manager walked away. Will never return to this stote again and will be sending an email to corporate .

I was able to do my first pick up order and it was the best experience! I didn’t catch the young lady’s name who brought out my groceries but she was an absolute pleasure and I wish there were more people that had her same attitude working with the public! The pick up experience was so easy we will definitely be doing it from now on!

I've always had great cashiers but today the young lady wasn't friendly and she really needs a course a good customer service!! Next time I will not go through her line!!

I'm not from the area, but if I had to compare this to a grocery store I am familiar with, I would say either Kroger's or Randall's back in Houston. I'm getting used to my new environment so I can provide more details with time

Walkertown location is trash. Stores in decent condition but they're constantly out of stuff. They have a hard time keeping anything stocked on the shelves.. it may be due to covid and lack of employees but I see plenty around. Not too mention they are high priced for what they are as a company. I loathe going into this place and only do when it's necessary.

They'll give you the evil eye for simply shopping while they are stocking. It's not our fault y'all don't stock until peak business hours. 😂 Besides, the last dozen times I've been here, they never have the main items I'm looking for. They can blame the "shortages" all they want, but it's funny surrounding stores carry everything. I guess I'll start going to other Food Lion locations.

Clean store with friendly employees. Produce and meat are sometimes not the freshest, and I have found outdated products on shelves on more than one occasion. The prices are cheaper than the nearby lowes foods though, so I guess this is a "you get what you pay for" situation.

It could have been an off day but the customer service was awful. Everytime I went to ask an employee a question, they turned the other way. A lot of the shelves were empty or the prices were out of sight. The overall appearance of the store was not inviting, not very clean at all.

Night crew has got way to much time on their hands when they just start calling the police on people that hasn't done anything wrong. But if their manager is the older woman Kathy I can see why. I definitely hate to say it but its true. If they had a man in there at night this wouldn't of happened. I have contacted the better business bureau to see if a false police report is due. I wouldn't recommend this store but say Lowe's might be a few cents higher but you get what you pay for...

A very good grocery store that could use a little renovation to refresh the interior.The parking lot of the Plaza where this food lion is located is very spacious. So parking is very plentiful.The grocery variety that this food lion sell is on park with the rest of the grocery stores around the area.The staff are friendly, helpful and have a wonderful customer relationship skills.The store could use a renovation to refresh the look and atmosphere in the grocery store.You can find almost everything you could need in this store. The prices are slightly lower than the competing grocery around the area. That's a big deal. I find myself going the extra 3 minutes to grocery shopping here .

This food lion is great. Very Clean store and friendly staff that Really talk and welcome you to their store. Someone is always nearby to help you and walk you right to the product your looking for. Food lion is not my favorite store however I always seem to find great deals, fresh meat and veggies. I come here all the time because I live right down the road. Thank you all who work at this store to make it such a great shopping experience.
