i used to work for Robin… DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS TO HER. the quality of the groom is good, but at the dogs expense. She is abusive to the animals and the staff. She INTENTIONALLY quicks dogs toenails (cutting into the tissue of the nail causing the toenails to bleed) there are so many things wrong with how she handles things. She also sits on her couch and smokes cigarettes until the bathers (me at the time) were done. I would work 12-14 hour days with literally 5 minutes to eat. She would give me 5-10 minutes to eat lunch because if I “passed out I would be useless to her”

Robin has been grooming my poodle Rocco for 12 years and his brother Marley, a Schnoodle for 9 years. She does a great job on both of them In fact, when I turn down her street my dogs go crazy because they can't wait to get there. Having shown dogs, Robin is an expert in giving a dog the actual breed standard cut for the particular dog.I trust Robin with my dogs and know that she treats the dogs kindly, even dogs that are aggressive or difficult to groom. She has also groomed my son's English Bulldog who doesn't particularly enjoy going to the "spa:" like mine do. She does an excellent job with his under coast and skin issues.Robin is very active in rescue groups and devoted to all dogs.I respect her skill and devotion to the dogs she grooms. Some clients find her directness challenging. It's only because she has the dog's best interest at heart. I think she appreciates directness from her clients, as well. I can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere else and recommend her to friends and neighbors all the time.

My first experience taking my dog to Breeders Choice was super fantastic. I was so happy with Robin and her staff in the way they cared for my dog. Robin was so informative and explained to me things I didn't even know about the breed of my dog. I couldn't believe when I walked back in to pick him up and saw the wonderful and amazing job they had done. He has never looked this good in 7 years. I defintely have found a new home for my dog to be groomed. I would highly recommend Breeders Choice to anyone and I promise you won't be disappointed.

I have been taking my dogs to Robin for over 8 years now and have always been pleased.They always look and smell so good. I have people stopping me to find out where I take them for grooming. Robin is very good at what she does and I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else.For excellent grooming service, I highly recommend Breeders Choice.

I have been using Breeders Choice for over 11 years for 3 different dogs. Robin is a caring person who truly loves all the animals and I have always trusted her to care for my Shih Tzu's. I know they are well cared for, treated kindly and the grooming she does is excellent quality. That is obvious as they love to go see her and when we out in public I have tons of comments on their appearance. We love Breeder's Choice and have been taking our Chinese Crested powder puff there for over 10 years. Robin, the groomer, is excellent with our Maggie, who always comes home looking and smelling delightful. In addition to a thorough grooming, Robin cleans Maggie's teeth. Recently our vet said Maggie's teeth look incredibly clean, and I know it's in part due to Robin's great cleaning job. One time Robin found a cracked tooth which had been missed by an inexperienced vet, which shows how thorough she is.Robin is truly a professional who knows and loves animals (in fact, she donates time and money to rescuing animals in need.) Her skill is unsurpassed. As an added bonus, I like to support local small businesses too.

Desperate for a new groomer for my two havanese dogs, I evaluated almost every dog we met for weeks trying to find a new “person”. Finally, success!! We meet a very nice dog and owner and after a short meeting I dared to ask who was grooming her puppy. “Breeder’s Choice in Wake Forest”. Did my research online..didn’t hesitate to call and schedule our first appointment. Today was their first appointment and I can’t say enough nice things about Robin and her staff. Very professional, very loving to my dogs, and willing to work to “fix” the errors of bad grooming over the last 9 months!! My dogs look great, smell great, feel great and were content when I brought them home. We want a good relationship with our groomer so that our dogs become comfortable and less anxious when they visit…this looks like a great fit for us. Robin listens to what you want/offers suggestions and wants the owner to leave satisfied. Thank you!!!

My experience with the staff and operator of Breeders Choice can be said in very simple words. Just so nice and professional in service and attitude toward my dogs. I appreciate the detail of the work done and also the ability of the staff and Robin to tell me of the total overview of my animals and what they might find needing to be applied for the benefit of my pets. From brushing of the teeth to the cutting of nails.I find Robin and the ladies to be gentle and kind with my dogs and also very easy to work shedules for grooming services.I feel at ease with saying to anyone that Breeders Choice Grooming Shop is a good situation for all involved.

I have a very hairy beautiful yellow lab! DOG HAIR takes over our house. Robin and her staff get all that undercoat off of her and make her shedding a lot better. We now have inherited a dog that is not so friendly and Robin and her staff said with confidence they can handle her. She will get a visit this week! Considering we do not come in very much it is always nice for your name to be remembered on the phone and the staff to greet your animal like they comes once a week. It means a lot to me that my animals are loved on when they are not with me. She also always finds a way to get us in on my schedule with two kids and work! We are all busy including Robin and she finds a way to get us in when we really need it.

As a first time dog owner, I was anxious to find a groomer who I could trust with my new Goldendoodle puppy. I searched the internet for a groomer who had experience with poodle mixed breeds and discovered Breeders Choice Grooming. I contacted Robin and she had suggestions on how to put my puppy at ease for his first grooming experience. I was pleased at the level of detail that was given to my pup -- coat was cleaned & cut beautifully, ear hairs removed, nails clipped, etc.. Robin also gave me advice on how to properly brush & maintain his long, fluffy coat between visits. She truly cares about the dogs she grooms and offers suggestions on how to keep your dog healthy. I have been going to Breeders Choice for the past five months and still smile every time I see how handsome my pup is at pickup time!

I have been using Breeders Choice Grooming Shop for over 10 years. Robin and her staff have always taken excellent care of my pets. They always treat them as if they were their own.Robin is always very helpful with suggestions and recommendations on things that I can do to help improve my pets overall well-being. She sometimes catches problems that will need a vets attention before I do and takes the time to point them out to me so I can take care of it before it gets to be a bigger problem. I have always appreciated this helpful information.I don't think you will find anyone in the area that does a better quality of work and you definitely get more than what you are paying for. Breeders Choice Grooming Shop pays attention to the smallest of details which really makes this shop heads above anyone else in my opinion.

Robin & her assistants are the best. My Yorkies love going to the "spa". I have to wait until the last minute to tell Jazzy & Sparkle where we are going or they will jump up and down and bark continuously until we get into the car. I depend on Robin for advice on taking care of my girls. She is always so helpful and patient with all my questions. I highly recommend Breeder's Choice.

I was very nervous about leaving my yorkie because of past negative experience with a local groomer. Robin and her assistants took alot of time with me and explained what custom haircut would look best for my dog. She reassured me and I was able to see how happy the other dogs in the salon looked. When I came to pick up Danika she was not shaking and she seemed happy. Her haircut was exactly the way I wanted it. Danika had not been to a groomers in a long time & it took Robin a long time to cut her because she was not used to the clippers. Robin did not mind and even explained to me the health reasons of why I should bring her back. I will continue to take my special baby there once a month & next time I will know she will be taken care of with no worries. I would highly recommend this shop to any nervous mothers. You won't be disappointed in the service or the cut.

From the first time I took my puppy and picked him up I knew this was the only place that I would ever go to get him groomed. Vader is always well taken care of by Robin and her staff. He is treated with patience and respect. He learns every visit about how to like grooming, and we also learn with tidbits of useful information about caring for a puppy. We have been going to Robin for 7 years. My 14 year old dog isn't the friendliest, yet Robin has had the patience to work with her over the years. Now my dog runs to the door when we get there. I appreciate the personalized care we have received over the last 7 years. I moved out of Wake Forest a few years ago, but still do the drive to get my dog groomed once a month. Thanks!!

Back in November, we picked up a 6 month old miniature schnauzer who was last of the litter. She was never groomed by the "breeder" and was in pretty rough shape, coat wise. Didn't get her groomed right away, spaying was a priority and then the holidays hit. Now 8 months old, took her in for grooming...wow. The owner berated us for our dog's condition, complaining about having to work with a dog that's not used to being groomed, and overall being rude. I asked if this was a bad morning and if this situation wouldn't work for her, prepared to walk out the door, but the owner begrudgingly took our dog. Upon picking up our puppy, which the owner said she had to "butcher", once again gave us the riot act and made clear she won't groom our puppy in the future....the feeling is mutual. If you have a puppy and/or never been groomed, go elsewhere. This lady does not have the heart of a teacher and bedside manners.

She is great. I took my yorki ipoo just purchased to her did a great job. Now I am about to call. My mama just got a maltese in horrible shape but they will do a great job. If she has attitude it is because she cares about the dog.

I recently moved to Wake Forest and needed to have my babies nails cut. The two women that were there today at 5:15 were nothing but rude! The woman'who took my baby back to cut her nails, complained about my baby the entire time we were there. She was even hateful to her own beautiful poodle! Never again will she touch my baby. I don't care how tired or whatever you are, you don't talk so ugly about how bad you think my baby looks. If you don't like her hair cut or how long her nails are, keep that to yourself. You don't have to be so rude and hateful talking about her the entire time we were there. None of your business.

We have always been very pleased with Breeders Choice. We started with this grooming spa around 20 years ago with our golden lab Savannah. We have Dolly and Molly at this time and they are always beautiful when we pick them up.

Do not take your dog here. We had to bandage our dogs toe it was bleeding so much but the worst thing is he is miserable from clipper burn. The burn is so severe we are going to have to take him to our vet. On top of this she is very rude and talks very negatively about your pet.

First off, this lady is a skilled groomer. Our dog never looks better. Unfortunately, she could use a class in basic courtesy. She's curt and rude. Whether it's intentional or not, I can't say, but I can say I'll go elsewhere.
