Grown up going to this store and it literally gets worse each time I go, the last 2 times I tried to go, weeks apart mind you, I pulled in and an employee would flag me down to say they were closed no where near their closing hours. I have a lot of respect for retail workers but this store is so badly managed and always has been. There’s a man who works/manages there now that is very nice but doesn’t change the bad quality of the business here.

11AM on a Thursday. Lights are on. Registers are on. Doors locked. No sign on the door. Knocked on the door. No response. Aisle walkways appear full of inventory and boxes.

Store is always extremely cluttered. Can hardly get through the aisles and end caps. Supposed to open at 8am. Here at 8:14 am. Doors locked. No one answering phone. Smh

I've been going to this Dollar General for years. I remember going there and shelves would always be filled. There always was beautiful wind chimes hanging outside. Many to choose from. I loved going there. Now the shelves are always empty. No matter what i go there for now-a-days, they never seem to have it. No more beautiful wind chimes. I remember going there and buying the last 5 back patches. It took 8 months before they were refilled. I've started frequenting the Family Dollar across the street. They always have what i need. I've even heard people calling Dollar General a flea market. It has really gone down hill over the last few years. That is so terrible because it was such a nice nice store. Its also very dirty and the aisles have stuff everywhere. Please forgive me for my honesty but i want the old store back.

Very friendly employees at this location. I shop at several Dollar General stores and the one on the corner of Buffalo Lakes Road and 27 has a manager that is rude hateful and doesnt help you at all instead pretend not to hear you.I was thankful to see hardworking people who cared about their job!!

Courteous employees. The store has been here for a long time and needs to be updated with either new flooring or a great cleaning. the aisles are too narrow. The merchandise is very crowded on some of the aisles..

This store is filthy dirty! The coolers were disgusting.. The floors look like they have never been cleaned. This is unacceptable, it doesn't look like anyone knows how to clean. Come on people, you are capable of so much more. I will not stop here again.

Have been there twice and both times there were boxes all over the place , store seemed dirty lots of empty shelves, a stock person is needed!!

Well, I don't go there as often as I once did because I'm avoiding their sweets, namely Nutty bars and Sprite. Hard to keep the ole waist in shape with that combination! 😉

This dollar General is the one I use most often because it's closer to where I live at but I must admit the 1 in carthage is my favorite. Both have friendly and helpful employees, bitg are pretty clean and both have a wonderful blend of different things for various wants and needs at a great affordable pricewithout the product being too cheap....But I just like the atmosphere at the carthage 1 a little more.
