This is my favorite Food Lion!!They take care of me! They just started Grocery Pickup, but, 2 yrs ago, when I had foot surgery, they were kind enough to bring what I needed to my car! Now, that's what I call Customer Service 150%!

The Valdese store has the nicest people you can meet. I'm not sure about the one in Morganton on hwy 70. I haven't been there often.

I don’t know of a grocery store that needs a self checkout more than this one…. Waited in line 25 minutes to buy salt and pepper I ran in for. Dear god it’s always a wait and a line…. AVOID IT

My friend sent me a food lion gift card on line. At first the cashier couldn’t get it to scan. But instead of getting annoyed and aggravated with me, she seemed to get nicer. She told me what was going on and then called a manager to help her. They finally figured out that it had to be manually punched in the register. The manager was also very nice. Every time since, I have had different people to ring me up and they have all been awesome. Food Lion, I don’t know if you train people tone great at customer service or just hire the best people out there, but either way, thanks for being AWESOME!!!!

I've shopped at this Food Lion since the week it opened as Food "Town" and for many years I could honestly say I looked forward to going (or at least I didn't dread it, the way I do now). The cleanliness of the store is probably better than most. The shelves are neat and well-stocked. The young,female cashier's, however, are a different story. Male cashier's are as friendly and helpful as ever, as are the more mature females. But younger cashier's almost never speak unless it's "Do you want this in a bag?". And "thank you"? Forget it! Are they tired? Jealous? Hate their job? Whatever the problem is, it's obvious they shouldn't be working with the public. Today was my last visit - I won't be back.

Ordered groceries online. Called the number when I got there. They said they would be right out. 20 minutes later I called again . They said the first person I talked to had left and didn't tell anybody that I was waiting. They can do this because the person that left will not suffer any repercussions for being . incompetent.

I have to drive around to multiple food lions to get what I need and today I went to Valdese and this is maybe the cleanest most organized one I've visited. Cashiers were very friendly no complaints except that 20mph ride through Valdese

I like the store and the employees! BUT... Here lately it's been overcrowded and the isles are full of boxes that need stocked! They need more help in the deli, I spoke with the worker there and she said she was supposed have been off hours before I arrived and she has a young daughter! When it comes to telling someone to come in and work overtime and you will be off by a certain time, that's something that should stand firm! Over all, it's a great store, just needs major work with the cleanliness in the bathrooms and the stocking!

Normally I would give a better review for foodlion because I like the store and the prince's.. Sometimes lol.... But on one of the busiest days they have, during the Valdese fireworks, parking lot slammed packed, lots of people in the store, they have one cashier checking people out. Finally after being in line 10 mins they get another to turn there light on and start helping. This was just not a good foodlion experience for me.

Not very well stocked with choices I need. But it is the only grocery store near me so it's where I go. Some cashiers are ok and great. However there is one that does not respect customer requests. I ask for certain way of bagging my food, she does it her way. Today she gets involved to help a new cashier but instead of asking what is needed, she assumes and messed up my bank account in the process. Why can't you open your mouth and ask!

Awesome people. I love this food lion. Very friendly, always let me bring my dog in. I mean, she's small, and I carry her, but they are always happy to see her. Management is super friendly, as are the others who work there. Just an all around great experience.

Fairly standard food lion with average prices. Well stocked. No self checkout. If you are at all worried about covid, do not shop here. Neither customers nor employees (except 1) were wearing masks, there were no distancing floor decals, and no extra care seemed to be taken for cleaning/sanitizing. I would avoid when possible.

Their pick up is awesome. But if I shop inside it is clean and most things are super easy to find. Do try ordering online and just pick it up! It's worth it when you have a jam packed day.

Favorite food lion I say I enjoy the widened isles and the limit to amount of available products on the shelves. Employees are always kind and friendly with warm smiles and greetings with great understanding of the location of items.

I was in there when they were extremely busy and the 4 check out lines that were open had at least 10 customers each waiting to check out. The manager rounded up every able body worker she could find and immediately got every check out line they had opened. I was out of there within minutes. Could not have been more impressed with how she handled that.

I shopped today with my friend and her Daughter., And had a blast. I know your not to play but we didn't and.iher daughter had a good time. Made her experience that much more better in her flamed cart she was riding in. Got good value.on my food and had a good time.too.Only thing is when, I was putting my stuff in the car someone left a dirty diaper in the parking lot. I emptied my stuff into another bag and took it in the store. As it was bad. I asked our checkout lady if she'd ask someone to take to the back to trash it. Because it.was to rank to put in the bin out front.She was kind enough to do that.If, I could walk to the trash bin that, Mom that changed that diaper. Could of walked her happy tail and put it in the trah themselves.That's gross. What's wrong with people. LAZY is.what it is.All in All.. I had a good experience

This is my local food lion and its always stocked. I have no problem finding anything I need and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Being close to home is a huge plus and I would highly recommend this grocery store to anyone needing to find their weekly grocery needs.

In and out quickly! They have a great Gluten Free section in the freezer beside the deli. Easy accessibility to my favorite GF cheesecake, GF brownies, GF hot dog 🌭 buns, GF 🍔 hamburger buns, and even GF dinner rolls, and GF cup cakes, that are so delicious! Have fun!

Good prices. Had a problem once with something being out and manager helped me get something similar and a staff member found the last of a product that I couldn't find so great workers to say the least
