Bought the one acre pond stocking package today. Excellent service and nice folks. They did a great job preparing the fish for transport. On the trip from the hatchery (in Turkey NC) to our place in Cameron NC, we only lost two fish, both just minnows. Pretty impressive! Looking forward to chatting with these folks again this summer when we return for some koi fish. A good, honest, family business!

Great experience getting a 3/4 acre fish package. All my fish survived the 2 hour car ride to the pond. Phil and crew are very kind and have the best price by far. Highly recommend!

We called them for a week. No answer. Finally someone had a new message, promised to call and never did. They went back to not answering again. We took a chance and drove an hour out to it to have some little pond fish identified. The place was a DUMP! My husband knocked on the door and got off the broken, rotted deck as soon as he did. A man opened the door a little and said we were supposed to call first. Husband said we did for a week and no one got back to us. Man said "No one still is! I'm not coming out.". Don't bother with this place.

We drove from Wilmington to buy fish. We called We also texted as per voicemail. We waited 30 minutes in driveway with several dogs surrounding our car & know one showed or called.

The people running this seem to have no business skills when it comes to phones, email, etc. They could have a great business if they would just get back to you.... in a timely fashion! I'm not alone based on numerous other reviews. When you finally coordinate a meet the experience changes for the better. The fish the 1st time, we're lively and worked out well. The 2nd meet never took place since they got back with me toooo late and the fish were too small for my needs. 1 1/2 hrs drive (1 way) for a partial order was not feasible. Answer your customers phone calls..... continue to do business. Looking at other options.

I placed an order for Bluegill-2-4' qty 1200, Shellcracker 2-4' qty 450, Bluegill-3-5' qty 200, and 15 pounds of minnows to increase my forage fish. When they showed up they were trying to give me 2000 bluegill and did not look at the order. They ended up only providing me with all but the minnows, with the promise of bringing me the minnows on the next fish day. Since then I have placed 5 phone call and 2 emails with out any response or delivery of the minnows. They seemed genuinely concerned that they did not know what I was getting but after they cashed my check there has been no contact.

I had fish delivered to my pond a few weeks ago. I am so pleased with the fish and the owners were so friendly offering helpful knowledge. I will definitely be buying fish again from Carolina Fish Hatchery they have the best fish and great prices compared to other company's. I Totally recommend them, I found out E-mail is the best way to contact them since they are a small family business and they always take the time to e-mail picture if asked which I love.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM---THEY WILL CHEAT AND LIE!!!!!!!! We bought almost $1000 worth of fish a couple years ago. Didnt get the correct sizes of Bass and Shellcrackers and we were supposed to get 4-6 inch Bass. We got the 1-3inch but were told that they would be ok and grow just fine. Over that time we haven't been able to catch anything but catfish. Called and talked to Bonnie and she flat out told me that they put the wrong percentages of fish in our pond and to try and get the catfish out and she would give us what we were supposed to have in the first place that the catfish most likely ate the small bass since they are a predatory fish. We are overloaded with catfish but can't catch Bass and the ones we do catch are only around a pound. Bonnie said they should be at least 5 pound by now. Bonnie told us that she would fix the issue but when it come time to call and see when they were coming, i called and Phil answered. He basically said, were not fixing anything. He was just a flat out rude guy and said he didnt care what Bonnie said. He then proceeded to say, " just take me to court then."

Went To their Fish Day at the farm Sat. June 9th got to see the “Koi” selection that they had, there was about 3-4 species the majority all the same of 2 species. Chose out my 4 fish was told $30 for 2 and then $50 for another 2 coming in at a total of $80 for 4 Koi. I go out to see how they the net the fish while they bagged my fish. I later come back about 20 mins later as the owners wife is trying to sell my fish to someone else and I tell them those are mine and as I get ready to pay she up charges me up to $140! Same day as I put them in my pond 2 jumped out and died! Fish were not trained or quarantined before selling.

I would strongly recommend against doing business with this company. The owners are terrible at communicating, and then when you try and get a straight answer you get excuses, then yeld at, and then hung up on. I verified I was speaking with one of the owners, Bonnie, and that it wasn't just a bad employee, but nope, this was the owner acting this way. You have been warned.

Nice folks. We planned to meet at a gas station near the airport with the fish I wanted. They came as planned and made the delivery. That was a year ago and the fish are still alive and I assume well.

It seems that this hatchery doesn't care or need any business for that matter. I have tried numerous time to contact, email and left a message over the phone, but never any response. I gave up on giving them my business. Not professional at all, just don’t do business with this hatchery.
