I've gone to Mr. Juan's for a number of years now and every time has been wonderful. Mr. Juan himself and the rest of his family and staff have always been very kind and outgoing with their service and in my experience they treat you like family. (Juan and his daughter offer me and my family "the usual" on occasion as an example and nowhere else I've regularly been has been that personal)And as a standout item among a menu full of standout items Mr. Juan's has some of the best margaritas we've ever had at a price that makes them dangerous due to their affordability. (This is a joke, Google, just to cover myself lol)

Mr. Juan and his family are eager to make sure you are happy and are treated well. They treat us like we are old friends. The food quality is outstanding. The complimentary chips and salsa is awesome!!!I tend to order the “Special Nachos”. It’s very, very good.

Found this place a few months back and just went last evening. Glad we did. My wife and I truly enjoyed it. Price very fair, service all with a smile and very polite, food was pure tasting., fresh clean on pallet. Margaritas were very good not to sweet just an overall very good supper. My second time eating here since I moved to the area and it’s one of my favorites. The staff is friendly and on top of it. The prices are great as well.Wanted to update- we have eaten here so many times. I am so picky when it comes to Mexican food- this is the best place around. I have eaten in Spartanburg, Greenville, Boiling Springs, Greer, etc…no one else compares.Margaritas are also top notch!

This was our first time dining in this restaurant because we live close to Tryon we live in Landrum and we were really excited to try this place, the waitress that seated us brought our drinks and we told her we needed a few minutes to decide and she never came back we sat there for a good 15 minutes and had to ask the guy that was doing the sleeping on the floor to please get someone to take our order, a second waitress came over and took our order and we never saw her again either, actually Neither waitresses ever came back to check on our drinks or to check and see if our food was OK or if we needed anything, I’m assuming it was the owner of the restaurant that brought our food, and brought us an extra drink that we had to ask for because no one asked us, it took about 20 to 25 minutes to get our food and when we sat down there were only two other tables there and by the time our food arrived we were the only table in the dining room and still we were completely ignored, it took 10 minutes just to get my tortillas for my fajitas..Good thing I was only going to eat one anyway, the food was OK but my fajitas had way more salt in it than needed, needless to say we were very disappointed and this will be a one and done experienceAnd obviously good help is still hard to fine. We will not be back

This is for Mr Juan in campobello on Rt 176.Food was hot and delicious!Enjoyed the chimichanga and shrimp. Fresh and tasty. Don't have to go to greenville for delicious Mexican food.Many item on the menu with specials and combo's too. Two of us ate and had two deserts for $35.00

Met as a family here.They still practice social distancing between tables so as a family of six --- we had a room to ourselves.That was nice in that it allowed us to enjoy our time together without distraction.The food is excellent! While the menu items read like many other Mexican restaurant menus --- the quality of food is FAR better!The staff is awesome!! They took great care of us. They were very patient with some of our less-than-decisive family members.For now, they still wear masks out of respect for their patrons. Nice touch!!This was our first time here --- but definitely not our last!

Quality Mexican food at very good prices. This is my wife and I's absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. She usually goes for the Taco Loco salad and I get the Nachos Compuestos if I have the appetite for that much food. Even just the 2 taco with rice and beans plate is fantastic! We fill ourselves up for under $25 every time we go. Highly recommend.

Wonderful food and friendly staff in a clean environment. Lunch specials are a terrific value at $6 for a Sweet Tea and a meal. Only downside, they are not open on Monday. But that's ok! If you like great Mexican food, check them out!

Great Spot! I can't believe we missed this for the last 20 years. Wow! Food was HOT, fresh and delicious! The Coconut shrimp are so good! Margarita was heavy with liquor too! All around a great experience and we will definitely be back!

What a wonderful find!After living for years in Central Texas and enjoying a variety of outstanding Mexican options, it has been disappointing in other parts of the country to find only average at best. Then we tried Mr. Juan's Mexican Restaurant. What a treat! The food is authentic and great. The service is also wonderful. We will go back again and again.

Staff were super nice but they seemed to be very short staffed. Took an hour+ to get food for which they apologized. The food was OK, not the best but not the worst.. the table near us up and left leaving a 20 on the table and their food untouched.(apparently they only received their salads but didn't even get their main course or even dressing) they had been there before we got seated so I understand their frustration. I get covid is going on and with the gov basically paying people more to sit at home than actually work it's hard to find staff but we likely won't be back.. we went here because all the other restaurants had an hour + wait.. wished we had just waited! Also I usually have a stomach of iron but I couldn't even finish my food before having horrible stomach pains. 3 stars.. wanted to give one but again with covid happening I understand some of the issues. Again the staff were super nice and I felt bad for the girl who was having to take care of like 15+ tables by herself.

I eat here almost everyday and I love the food! Mr. Juan is great! However, recently within the past couple of months, the staff has changed. Due to this, I've experienced rude customer service and the proportion sizes with the lunch specials are not as good as they used to be. The food barely fills up the to go plates. I want to continue going here but with how things are right now I'm gonna give Mr. Juan's a break and find an alternative.

I gave 4 stars for service and cleanliness. The food was good (average) for typical Mexican restaurant. I've had better, I've had just plain, no flavor (worse). I would return, I will try something different next trip.

The food is better here than the other few Mexican restaurants in the area. I've been to all of them many times. They are all fine but Mr. Juan's is my top pick from now on.

everyone says this place is good but obviously they ordered something I didn’t,because my food was cold and small,our service was awful,we had to ask for everything and I felt like I was eating at a clock or Pete’s instead of Mexican,will not be going back

Had to ask for chips and salsa. No salsa bar. Slow service, unhappy wait staff. Wrong order, so so food. But the worst part is that they tried to charge us more than the price listed on the menu. Brought it to the attention of the guy working the register, who corrected it but didn't really care. Do yourself a favor and go to El Camposino in Columbus. Food is better and a great staff. Disappointed and will not return. I rarely write reviews, but in this case I would like people to know not to spend thier hard earned money on a crappy place like this.
