The playground is shaded with mature trees, it's fenced in. There are bathrooms. Behind the playground there is a walking trail and a beautiful river, there is a little beach where kids can splash. You can find other access points to the river along the trail. The water is not too deep, and it's slow flowing (at least in the summer/dry season), very refreshing. It's a great place! There is also a store with snacks and ball fields. The playground is behind the sports fields. The hours listed on Google are wrong, it's a public park and it's open until dusk I believe.

Absolutely beautiful place. They have baseball field, a soccer field, they have a basketball court that’s covered (which is awesome for Rainy days) along with nice paved trails for walking and bike riding. Super clean and well kept. They also have a children’s playground back behind the baseball field.

Went for an equestrian show and it was a lot of fun. The setting is beautiful. Tryon is a great location. They could really do with an upgrade PAs. Just a speaker or two. You can't hear what is being said by the announcer.

As one of my favorite places for the past 10 years it isn't surprising I'd rate Harmon Field high. Depending on the time of year there are a lot of things to do and enjoy. Whether it's a simple picnic or to watch the horses practice for upcoming competitions you can find SOMETHING enjoyable to do here. A personal favorite passtime is just reading by the river on a nice day.There are various outdoor exercise areas scattered around the large walking track, the little "concessions stand" that's now a little restaraunt has good food if you're hungry or need a drink, and there's finally a dog park area for furry family members as well!There are also tennis courts and a basketball court if sports are more your thing, and the little league families and friends make regular use of the baseball and soccer fields, further cementing Harmon as a longstanding, beloved local Hotspot to get out and active.

Great place for a walk or to take the dog to play. Only complaint is they're always out of poop bags so keep some plastic bags in your car. Grew up around this park it's always been a great place for a variety of things. Almost always peaceful as well.

Harmon is one of the true gems of Polk County. A beautiful, well-maintained 40+ acre park with numerous amenities. Run, walk, play ball, shoot hoops, soccer, horse show rings, etc. the best! (and soon....a dog park!)

Pretty disappointing that the lights for the tennis courts and basketball courts can’t be turned on anymore… I get that it costs money to run them, but there has to be a better solution than shutting them off. The park has already gone downhill and the town could care less if people like it anymore

Fun park for walks. Well maintained. Trails and track are nice as is the river. Tennis courts and baseball diamonds, exercise prompting stations and pavilions located on the grounds as well. There is also a small playground. Horse events are held here by the local club.

They forgot to put there is an amazing dog park here. One side for large and small dogs. Very clean park and there’s a beautiful river here too.

The park as a whole is awesome. Great dog park for both small and large pups.Handicap swing for a wheelchair, Frisbee golf, walking trails, track, and the list goes on. I just love the place!

Update::... The playground had been replaced a year ago. It's very Nice equipment. The children love coming out here and enjoying the outdoors! Thank you Mayor Alan Peoples for giving children permission to play again!!

Harmon Field is a great Tryon/Landrum area park! Plenty of places to walk, play disc golf, basketball, soccer, tennis, or pickleball you really can't find it's equal if you live in the immediate area!

Nice place to walk, run or job around the complex or around track. Everything you would want for a park, snack bar, playground, soccer & baseball field, outdoor basketball court, covered picnic areas with grills, gazebo and easy access to the creek to cool off. It even has a small horse arena that hosts horse shows and even a dog park.

Recreation fields, picnic areas, pavilions, disc golf, river - this is a sprawling, great complex that is nicely maintained. There are even receptacles for pet bags if you've run out, and a dog water dish along the way. Love coming here to walk / exercise. Looks like there was once some exercise equipment along the trail, but that has fallen into disrepair and looks to have been vandalized in spite of all the maintenance efforts.

Beautiful park area in Tryon, NC. Regular horse shows, baseball games, and family reunions. Several picnic areas and playground equipment. Paved walking path along the stream that runs along the back of the field.

Well maintained beautiful park in the mountains. Great view, there's even a creek at the back of the park. It's perfect for kids, there are a variety of Fields and even a basketball court. if you want to throw a party there are two buildings you can rent out for one outside and one indoor with air-condition bathrooms and a kitchen. there are outdoor bathrooms as well. There are also plenty of open spaces where you can set up your own equipment such as a volleyball net. and lastly there are about three to four tennis courts. Honestly there's more that I just have forgotten to mention, but all in all it's a great place to meet up or hang out with family and friends.

A wonderful park in the Tryon area. My two kids (4 and 2) loved so of the different equipment to play on and explore. There are also ball fields and walking trails. Great place to spend an afternoon!

LOVE this park! Beautiful mountain views, pleasant stream, walking paths, nice playground that has recently been updated. We've been going to this park for over 20 years, lots of nice family memories, even had our wedding there at the little log cabin, which you can rent for events.

Love playing ball(baseball and basketball) here and utilizing the track/walking trails! "They" could have used the open spaces/ not utilized grassy areas to put up a dog park a while back, rather than taking away one of the ball fields,( personal opinion)... also, watch out for dog pellets, some people let their dogs go wherever on the ball fields and around the track, even over to the basketball court... little Bomb surprises! 😆 🤣 really love the space and what it offers!
