My children, husband and I have been walking here several times. We love the natural wildlife you get to see, the tutles are so friendly and the prints and tracks are super cool.

What a beautiful place. I need to come back with the horses. There is so much we can do there. I didn't get a chance to see everything. It is huge. I highly recommend you bring your horse, and enjoy the riding. They had a track, trails and jumps. Two thumbs up.

The beautiful grounds, well marked and maintained trails, wild variety of plants (including bald cypress) and huge views make this place a naturalists dream. It is rarely busy and is also the trailhead for the Palmetto trail.

We are a local upstate school and we have called from our school numerous times and have been told that we would receive a call back concerning taking a field trip. Our calls were never returned to tell us if field trips were a possibility or not. It is advertised on their website that they offer field trips. We even took one back in the spring of 2022 and our kids loved it. We are very disappointed in the way this has been handled by the director of this facility.

I'm always looking for new experiences for my grandchildren and this afternoon adventure will be one that we will certainly never forget! There were so many engaging activities and we really enjoyed eating lunch picnic style. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the volunteers were a joy as well. I can't believe this hidden treasure was right under my nose. Only a 30 minute drive! The best part is that it was all FREE! We're already planning some return trips for workshops and exploring the hiking trails. Also want to incorporate downtown shopping and trying out some eateries in some of the quaint towns in the area.

Very easy and beautiful hike. Great for the kids and grandma. Well marked. Can't get lost. Small hills only. Nice day out for sure.

I am a bit biased. We used to have cub scout camporee events at FENCE. It looks just as good as it did then. I would always recommend them for an event

A beautiful track of woods with many trails of variable difficulties. My dog loves it here and meets new friends here often. Plenty of water to cool him down, or to drink. Lots of wildlife, but never crowded . A great place for a walk anytime.

We went to the fence Halloween event that had, and I wasn't impressed at all. We had to stand in line over an hour for a very small bottle of water, and after that was done, we went to the tables. Everyone was out of all the stuff for kids, so the kids were disappointed. I think they tried to do a good thing for kids, but it was a nightmare

The grounds seem to be kept up with very well. Great place to get out and enjoy some nature. They have a covered spot next to the pond with picnic tables.

My concern is the safety of persons using the trails for walking. It has come to my attention that a incident occurred with someone walking with their dog on the trails. Another person was also walking her dogs. She was unable to keep them under control. This was a unprovoked attack. Points that are to be remembered 1) retractable leashes are not to be used with aggressive dogs. 2) aggressive dogs need to be muzzled when in public. 3) persons should not attempt to walk dogs that outweigh person’s strength to control.Small children and dogs could be injured or killed. Since this has occurred once, logic tells you it WILL happen again unless changes are made.

We enjoy taking hikes at FENCE! Well kept, clean grounds, well marked trails. Natural creeks along path are awesome for hot days. Kids love running through the grass fields. The pond is stunning and the wildlife is happy and plentiful. Great for bird watching, exercising or picnicking.

Nice easy hiking trails that you are allowed to let your dog loose on. If you have a horse this place would be great. Really nice effort by an organization that does a lot of good for the community. Good Job FENCE!

Beautiful facility, but certainly need real restrooms. The only thing that was available were porta potties. Not a good facility for the elites.

Beautiful trails with wooden bridges and a boardwalk type style over the lake and around through the woods. So Scenic and beautiful, I love this place to spend time with my Significant other while we walk our dogs!

I've only been here once, but my wife and I had a great time running the trails. Some where flooded, but that's not their fault. It's a beautiful place and we will be back.

It is a great place for a birthday party that's not your typical playground cake and ice cream party. We made kites, got a nature lesson, and petted a 16 yr old albino corn snake. The kids had a ball!!

Hiking trails are not clearly marked. Our group, with 12 children, was lost. While it made for a fun adventure, I would say their signage is in dire need of attention.

Beautiful public place for hiking and an indoor nature center.... and not to mention the riding and jumping facilities for the FETA member. We all need to support the unique places that are left like this.

Just a bit out of the way. Nestled in the NC mountains is this really awesome equestrian facility. Great stalls and staff. Had fun while we were there with the horses and friends.
