Even though we are new clients, the owner scheduled us quickly, which was awesome. She was friendly, has an excellent communication set up with text reminders, and overall personable and professional. She also did wonders with my dog. He is a sheepdog/poodle mix and his fur is a little nuts. She had him looking like a million bucks, his ears especially- they were crazy- and his fur is JUST SO SOFT. The last grooming we had done at a Petsmart was not nearly as thorough or up to this caliber and it cost twice as much. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We have been going here for about four years, and usually the cut was great and service was great. Recently, we’ve noticed a dip in the quality of her service and ability to follow directions. My double coat chow mix has been getting the same cut from Blue Ridge Barkway for the entire time I’ve had him, but for some reason today they decided to shave him bald. We asked for the hygienic cut with a trim all around, the same thing we’ve been asking for years, and we got back a completely shaved dog covered in razor burn. I’m absolutely appalled at this, anyone who has a double coat dog knows that you should absolutely never shave them, and in addition to this my dog has sensitive skin and is very itchy and uncomfortable. My family and I are very unhappy with this, and we will not be returning or recommending Blue Ridge Barkway to anyone with a double coat dog.
