I usually love this store. Today I had a bad experience there. I bought some pimento cheese and some night crawlers. I went to go fishing and opened up the night crawlers they were empty. I called over there to see if it was ok to bring them back. They said sure bring the worms back and they would also let me leave with 2 due to my trouble. I thought that was a nice offer since I was a 1/2 hour away. I told them my girlfriend was going to pick them up for me. She got there they replaced the worms but the 2 offer they promised was not held up. The guy working there said he didn’t know about the offer. I called over there he said what is the problem you brought back empty worms and left with full worms. I never ask for extra worms they were offered to me. They went back on there word.

NOT open until 9:30!!! Sped there to grab a last minute bag of dog food because they somehow carry a specialty brand, and the woman behind the counter locked the doors on me at 9:27. Would not even make eye contact or try to assist and then shut the lights off. Will not be spending money there again. Some great southern hospitality!!!!

I live in Georgia but have family in Mooresville near Perth and HWY 150. I visit them 2 times a year. I have been going to this store for past 5 years to get live bait, basic fishing tackle, and refreshments. It’s an older store and the parking can get crowded near gas pumps. In conclusion, if you are looking for live bait, this is the store you need to visit.

Not sure how I hit 1 star, but review is 5 star. I norm do reviews for places I visited, and help others that ask about certain places around town, but I've always liked this store, when going fishing, this is my place to go, but by there not be an actual typed out review, I know it to have been an accident that 1 star had been hit, phone may have froze up or something. But ya, there's been no inconvenience. But answer this tho, why it take 5 yrs for a reply lol. I'm just messing with y'all lol. Have a great evening and continue to run a great store for us great customers. 👍✌️

Fantastic old school bait shop! Lots of refreshments, hot and cold and the coldest beer 🍺 in Troutman. Great selection of fishing 🎣 tackle and equipment. My friend said the boat repair is good too.

Not a place I'll stop again! Terrible customer service. Went in about 3 weeks ago for fishing bait and snacks for the lake and asked the short haired black girl behind the counter where something was and got told "Over there I guess" with attitude. When I stuck my head outside to see if there was any minnows for bait, I was overwhelmed with the smell of pot. So I looked around and sitting in the corner, to the left of the door, was another black girl (store associate as I've seen her behind the counter before) and white girl with blonde hair smoking pot in the open! What kind of business allows this behavior?!

What a great store, everything you need before you hit the water. Bait, tackle, drinks, ice, gas, propane and snacks. Love the rock music they play all over the store. Nothing like pumping gas to some Pink Floyd. Pumps always open and great store hours.

On the plus side, they do sell EVERYTHING in this store. Wow, what a selection. And I also like the music they play over the speakers.The downside is if you need propane, you have to wait until all the customers are out of the store before the clerk can come out and fill the bottle. I must have waited about 10-15 min's while customer after customer strolled in and out of the store and the clerk could get a break to come outside (no fault of hers).

There is Usually always a long line would help to have two cashiers otherwise this is a great little country store. I love the large selection of energy drinks they have!

Great little stop on the way into the Lake Norman State Park. I went in for bait (minnows and worms) on the way to take my grandson fishing for the day. The man behind the counter was really nice, and the minnows and worms were very reasonably priced. This will be my go to stop when fishing Lake Norman in the State Park.

Walked in with others we were talking about fishing..my turn..I asked for my usual 2pks of Newport I went to put in the loyalty and the girl behind the counter tells me I have to pay full price..I said it says waiting for cashier..she then tells me to pay full price first then starts yelling I don't care if you're a loyal customer...continues yelling and there were at least 5 people behind me..22yrs going to this place..no more..she needs to be fired.

Tried to get some beer half the beer shelves are empty the trash was way over flowing but I was speaking to a guy getting beer also basically thought the same thing just kinda trashy

Not what it used to be, terrible customer service. Went in for fishing license was told I had to wait because of customers waited nearly 10 mins while everyone came and went everyone was out before me the last never attempted to start on the licenses.
