We spent our annual guys golf trip at Freedom Grove and had an absolute blast. We stayed at the Lincoln and Glamping Site from a Thursday-Sun and were supplied with everything we needed for the weekend. The cabins were in a great location, 13 min from Old Beau Golf Resort! We will def be back!

Freedom Groove Lodge is a hidden gem. My wife and I had the perfect one night getaway. Out of many Air B&B, the hosts at freedom lodge make it above and beyond the others I have stayed at. The amenities are very unique and thoughtful. The cabin was clean and stocked with all the necessities. There is fire wood and kindling available to make yourself a fire in the wood stove, or mini splits that keep the cabin comfortable if making a fire is not your thing. The cabin is just half the experience though, the location and views around the property that you have access to, such as a short trail, a pond, fire pit and hammock all complete the experience of staying in a cabin in the woods. We cannot recommend any more, go check it out.

Great host, great location just 5 minutes from Stone Mountain State Park. No extra fee for my dog which is rarely if ever the case. Cabin is well maintained and kitchen was fully equipped just be sure to stock up on groceries on your way. I will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed in the colonial and it’s was the perfect recipe for relaxation. The property it’s self feels magical. The space is new, well maintained and very clean. You could absolutely stay on the property the entire time or drive 5 minutes down the road to Stone Mountain park and bask in the stunning views of waterfalls, rivers, homesteads and last but not least a jaw dropping panoramic view from the summit.

This place was awesome! The loft bedroom was loved by the kiddos. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We were greeted with a s’mores kit to use at the fire pit on the property, a basket full of fresh eggs from the chickens in the property, coffee, and a cheese board. Talk about hospitality! The owners take great care of you during your visit. The fire pit with the hammocks were my favorite part. We spent each evening hanging out here a lot. Also pet friendly so of course I took my dog! Definitely recommend this place!

The Colonial Glampsite at Freedom Grove Lodging completely exceeded my expectations! My husband and I decided to take a last minute anniversary trip and we’re met with a wonderful experience booking with Freedom Grove. The owners do an immaculate job of keeping everything organized and convenient for your stay. I most definitely recommend this stay and will be returning again!

Glamping at the Colonial was such a wonderful experience. The tent is so comfortable and warm, enjoyed the fire pit, the views, and the serene quietness of the woods. The owners are amazing people and very responsive. Will definitely be back to stay longer.

We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful retreat. Jeff was more than accommodating and thoughtful (farm fresh eggs and s'mores supplies were unexpected and delicious). The yurt had all the comforts of home, yet the outdoor experience was very present. The outdoor area was comfortable. We were able to easily set up our own projector and have movie and game nights. The drive to Stone Mountain State Park was an easy 4 minute commute. No doubt that we will be back.

From the moment we stepped into the cabin, it was clean, cozy and smelled lovely. The queen bed was super comfortable. This was our second time staying in these cabins and it won’t be our last. Highly recommend.

My husband stopped at “The Colonial” glamping tent for a night of R&R while hiking the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. He was impressed with the setup and how clean and comfortable it was! The only thing that could’ve made his stay better was some company to enjoy it with. Easy booking process and kind, communicative hosts. That being said, we’ll absolutely be returning in the future!

My wife and I were lucky enough to be the first ones to stay in the tent! I believe it is also known as a yurt. Our stay at freedom grove lodging was nothing short of amazing . The tent/ yurt is definitely the best of both worlds . You have all the amenities of a house but the feelings of being outdoors . The sleeping area is temperature controlled which is super nice as well . The host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay . The outdoor shower is an amazing feature as well . It was a wonderful weekend getaway and we will definitely be back soon!

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend and felt so at home! This is the perfect private retreat if you wanna get away from the city. The hosts are extremely accommodating and have so much provided in the cabin for everything you may need. It’s very cozy, comfortable, and homey. Stone Mountain is less than a 10 minute drive for a beautiful hike, delicious restaurants within 25 minutes, ice cream right around the corner, and the famous little town of Mayberry about 45 minutes away in mount airy if you want to visit a little tourist area! Would recommend to anyone :)

We popped up for a last minute get away and the Daniel Boone Cabin was available. We had just finished playing a round of golf and we ready to do dinner and relax. Our cabin was perfect for that. We sat on the back porch that overlooked the woods and enjoyed dinner and wine. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. Everything worked as it should and the place was stocked with everything we needed. They even had a s’mores kit for us to make s’mores. Neat little place and very close to places to eat and play!

My wife and I were looking for a getaway that was off the beaten path and we found it in Freedom Grove Lodging. This property is definitely away from the noisy city streets but still not far from vineyards, breweries, and civilization. The cabin was clean, organized, and offered plenty of room for my family and pets! The owners, Jeff and Kenia, are very warm and welcoming people that guided us through all the area has to offer. We will absolutely be back!

I've been waiting to check this place out and finally made it happen this weekend. It's often difficult to find nice places to stay that allow pets. Their pet friendly atmosphere made travel arrangements easier and the pups loved it. The cabin itself was cozy and clean.This is the perfect place to do as much or as little as you want. Our weekend ended up being a wash out but we didn't care. Sitting on the covered deck drinking coffee and playing cards with friends while it rained was just what we needed for our weekend away. We ventured into Elkin to check out Angry Troll Brewing for a late lunch. I'm pretty sure we orded one of everything on the menu and it did not disappoint.We are ready to come back in the fall to enjoy the fire pit on the property and also do some hiking at Stone Mtn. State Park.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend and absolutely loved it! We walked the trails on property, it was very peaceful and isolated. But also went to check out a winery and Brewery just 15 min. away. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Had my future sister in law’s bachlorette party at this cute cabin, it was such an amazing experience! So glad this was the place I chose to host the party, we all had a blast, everything about this place was absolutely perfect for the occasion. I felt so comfortable walking across the bridge, it felt so secure, and the inside was so cozy. I would give 10 stars if I could!
