I recently stopped by Twins Meat Market to pick up meat for a fundraiser and was just SO impressed! I had initially spoken to these kind folks by phone and found that they were just the nicest helpful people to deal with. They are a small Mom & Pops type local butcher shop, but when I say service is top-notch, I truly mean it! They have the freshest best looking meat counter I've seen anywhere! They even cut to order and were very accommodating! I will definitely be going back! BUY LOCAL & SUPPORT OUR SMALL BUSINESSES!! If you're near Timberlake or Roxboro, North Carolina, do yourself a favor and stop by Twins Meat Market! You'll find service with a smile & genuine appreciation from the meat counter to the checkout counter!

I frequently stop here to purchase meat since the local grocery stores never have anything, have never had any problems, however this past week purchase of meat was spoiled when I opened it the next day. It was on a Friday and I was sick so I didn't really feel like dealing with at that point and just put it in the trash, I knew I would be going by on Monday and would stop by then. I tried talking to the lady at the cash register and was cut off and told no for a refund or replacement right away because I didn't call right away to let them know nor did I bring the meat back to them, like really! So I went and talked to the head guy and told him the issue, he said for me to get something else and he would let the cashier know. Again once I got to the register she questioned the receipt, as I was trying to talk to her answering her questions she cut me off again and acted so rude towards me like I was trying to rip them off. This was the final straw for me. This cashier has been rude on several Different occasions, I will not be going back nor will any family memebers being stopping here.

Took a 45 minute ride from Henderson, NC because we heard about this place. They had a huge selection of pork & beef cuts. The prices were comparable or better than grocery stores.We got the "small" bundle which is 21 pounds. Make sure you call ahead if you want a bundle. We had to wait an hour for them to put it together, but it was worth it.

Great selection of different cuts of steak, pork, and chicken. Good selection of prepackaged meats as well. Produce well stocked and fresh looking. The store is well kempt and tidy. Amish butter is one of my favorites. Butchers are cordial and will take requests. Very pricey however. But nowadays all meat is expensive.

Nice little country store. They have great meats and a nice selection of local rubs, sauces, jellies etc. Staff is super friendly. Lost a star bc some of the prices seemed high.

I feel bad for my 3 star rating, however, it has NOTHING to do with QUALITY. The food/meat is excellent and fair priced, and the store is very well kept. It's the staff my family and I have come across that are, well, lacking. Not a huge deal, but on 3 different occasions between my husband, his mother and myself--the cashier/clerk just acted like we were bothering her. No smile, no welcome...I mean, we've spent quite a bit of money there, we've purchased meat for huge picnic events, etc, I would just expect the customer service to be a little more engaging.

Best meat you can buy. Period. Steaks and pork chops always come out tender and Juicy. Steaks are marbled perfectly. I also love the selection of local products. Maple View Farms butter is amazing as is the Our Pride pimento cheese. Twinz is the only place I buy meat from.

Although they have a great selection of nicely priced beef, pork and chicken. I especially love their fresh wild caught salmon (but it sells out quickly). They also regularly carry fresh shrimp and locally sourced salad greens and assorted vegetables. If you live even remotely close it is definitely worth the trip.

This is my first time at twins meat market. Very impressed, a good old-fashioned shop where you can get things cut the way you want. A few small store items, and a very nice local produce section. Prices were very good especially considering the quality. This is one of those places where I can say check it out for yourself. After you do I already know what your decision will be. It will go on a list of places to go.

Excellent place to get all your meats. Butcher was informative and very nice. The young lady running the register and putting produce out was very pleasant. This small store has the hometown feel I was looking for and prices were affordable, lower than any chain market. Thank you!

Decent selection of meats, a bit pricier than I was expecting. Have heard they have great deals on fresh meat, didn't really see any deals. They do have package deals for their meat that you can pre-order if you want to buy in bulk. But most grocery stores and Wal-Mart are the same or cheaper in some cases on by the piece meats. Not sure if I will try them again.

My husband and I love twins. Meat quality is so much better than our local grocery store. Living in rural person county it’s quickier and easier than driving to Roxboro or Durham. They always have a great selection and maple view products!!

Best kept secret small meat market in the area. They are always busy. Just ask them for special cuts of meat. Excellent Filet Mignon, super breakfast sausage, outstanding Country Steak (cut it with a fork), oh heck ALL THEIR MEATS ARE TOP SHELF. Lots of speciality items too. Try them, you won't be disappointed, I promise.

I give it a 4 star only because they need to find cashiers that dont put peoples change on the counter& instead put itin their hand exactly where i put it in the cashiers hand . Also she was rude af . i asked her how she was , she ignored me . she really should be a bit nicer to their customers.
