Went in with my daughter to get a pair of flip flops she could use in the shower at school. She found a pair of fairly worn OP brand (Walmart) flip flops that fit and would be great to wear in the shower since she wouldn't have to worry about messing them up. The sign says flip flips are 1.99. Ok, we'll do that. Get up to the register, and the cashier rings them up for 5.99! I questioned as the sign very clearly says 1.99. Then the cashier starts getting hateful and telling me that only counts for the "dollar flip flops" as she worded it. I asked her why anyone would pay 1.99 for dollar flip flops and let her know the sign clearly stated 1.99 for flip flops. She got more hateful. I told my daughter just to put them back because we could get new ones for that price. I took her over to Walmart and she got 2 pairs for 6.50.I have donated a ton of stuff to this particular Goodwill. They have been my main donate spot for years. Never again. This store won't be getting any more of my stuff (which I give them for FREE) or any more of my money!

Haven’t been in my local goodwill in around a year, and when I went in this week I was absolutely floored. It is so clean and well organized, I’m a little in awe. I found so many cute clothes and good condition items, and I will definitely frequent this one from now on. I even took a picture of the changing room because it was SPOTLESS. (That’s my shopping cart, it wasn’t left in there) I’ve been to many goodwills, and many are so dirty you feel like you have to shower after leaving and just going in the changing room is a nightmare. Love this one and am so impressed.

I gave this low rating because I was in this store today. I was looking for some decor for the Alexander Early Headstart. I found several items, the items were overpriced. One particular item had the original price on the bottom of $10, they had it marked for $5. Being that this was for AEHS,a community service, I thought I would check to see if they could give me a better price. The manager was quick to tell me she couldn't change prices. I placed the items back on the shelf. You see this stuff is donated to them and I'm aware they benefit the community also, but I would be lying if I said I didn't believe someone is lining their pockets. Do better Goodwill, God blessed this company with all these donations so don't be robbing the public, just because you can. BE FAIR

Goodwill should GIVE needed items to the homeless. They get it free but won't give it to the needy. I do not donate anything to Goodwill. I'll drop it off at the homeless shelter for FREE!

EDIT: this store knowingly sells fake designer bags.. I asked the cashier about an obviously fake D&G bag and they said they know but the back doesn’t listen to them. Obvious fakes for $65+. It’s a shame and illegal.. don’t think I’ll be back at this goodwill for a while unless something improves (I used to go every week). Scamming customers with donated goods isn’t cool. If you’re going to mark up your free donated goods heavily then at least do your research.One of the best goodwills around, I go to a lot of different ones but this one is consistently clean, well organized, and overall great!

Got my wedding dress for $1.99! The sign says it's called Good Buys and it's got different pricing than your average goodwill retail store. Very clean and the clothing is organized by type and color! I found my dress within 5 minutes it was perfect for eloping to mountain top! Staff is friendly and always ask if you need any assistance or if you found everything alright just nice manners all around. Pleasant little place to shop.

Very nice store, expensive though.Tried to get a item cheaper as a part needed for use was stripped out. Ask one of the clerks (first mistake), answer "sorry, they knew it was broke when they priced it." Incredible.Second mistake, not asking for someone in charge.I didn't purchase it for the price they ask. Not sure it could be fixed.

First of all, this is a great store. Everyone is super friendly. Except for today. I was disappointed in the actions and speaking of one of their employees. I don't like to put the spotlight on anyone but, I don't like being treated and talked to in the manner I received from Tammy. She was rude and snarky to me regarding my purchase which happened to be a misunderstanding between myself and another employee. That was not a problem because it was a misunderstanding however, when I tried to explain the conversation to Tammy, she was a complete 💯% rude person. She didn't even apologize for the first incident that occurred prior to the misunderstanding. Hatefulness !!! I didn't deserve any of that. Tammy, you need to get it together and be more considerate in your speaking. Instead of treating the customer like they are stupid, try being nice and helpful to people and give them the benefit of the doubt. Misunderstandings occur and it's okay. Nothing tragic.

Loved this store when it was good buys but since the remodel prices have at least doubled even tripled. And the quality isnt any better than what they use to have in my opinion. ( i actually saw some things that were there before the remodel with new higher prices) The remodel is nice. Looks nice inside but honestly before i pay their new prices I'd go to hickory goodwill. They have nicer things.Employees are nice and willing to help when needed.

The sales clerks are very patient kind and didn’t mind putting up with the shopaholic and her kid and his picky self! They have good name brand clothes not a lot of Stains or rips or tears!

Lord knows I cant resist a good buy and this goodwill has gotten in the thousands of dollars from me over the past couple years. But lately they have been supper ridiculous on pricing. Like a pair to something your gonna pay double to get a matching set . like i got three pics today a matching set one was 5 one was 4 and one was 3 why do that to someone. Other then being greedy with stuff (Thats) donated which means its giving to you.. Makes no sense.

A great place to find second hand clothes if you're willing to spend a little time going through the racks. The prices are much better than other good wills with almost all clothes sold at $1.99 for men's and women's and $.99 for children's. The staff are always friendly.

I have been in retail management for my entire career.32 plus years. I spent my day at a toy show in Hickory( 2500 plus in attendance) no Mask,nor was I asked to wear one. Walmart in conover,no mask. Restaurant in Claremont..no mask. Food lion,valley hills mall...No mask. I walked into this good will,not even off the front mat,When I hear a very rude associate jumps me and screams ...Sir,you need a mask. I politely tell her,then you will not get my money. I walk out. Went next door to dollar tree. No Mask. Walmart..no mask. I worked in Gatlinburg,Tennessee from 2018 to 2020.Three thousand plus people from multiple states coming through my store. Not one time did I ever force a customer to wear a mask. Hmmmm, At what point will businesses realize that having mask nazis in their company causes more damage than profit. Will not set foot in this location ever again,and I will tell others of this particular store and WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Look at the date of the previous reviews Before going to this Goodwill.This store was a great store. After work me and my kids would go there and shop EVERY thing was so cheap. Kids clothes was $1 each. Women's clothes was $2. Toys was reasonable. Stuffed animals was $.50 each. And they had a table of toys fill a bag for $3 or $.50 each. We could always find something! I'm a single parent of 2 kids and cheap fits in my budget. But this past Sunday I went (I didn't know they changed the store) I walked in and I thoughted wow they had a new paint job and rearranged. I walked to the kids clothes and started looking. I overheard a guy talking about the prices so expensive. I started looking around and I was mortified to say the least. Kids clothes was now $2.99 EACH. Women's was $3.99 each jackets that used to be $2.29 no more that $2.99 was now $5.99...Toys omg every thing was so high. They took out the fill a bag table. Stuffed animals was $2 and up. A barbie my daughter wanted was $5. And this stuff is gave to them. Shoe peices was almsot as bad. The store that was so reasonable prices has now just jacked up prices for no reason.I will no be returning to this store. I would drive 45 minutes out of my way just to go to this store. I guess I will just have to find us another store to spend my money at.

Wish i had taken a picture. This was the first good'bye' store I had been to. For those goodwill lovers (like myself) you know there are usually goodwill retail stores (most everything on hangers, neat, prices vary) and goodwill outlets (messy, can be gross digging through stuff, everything thrown in huge bins, pay buy the pound, even cheaper than usual goodwills).This is a whole new beast. So everything in the store clothing was is the same price $1.99. That's right, that expensive dress is the same price as a falling apart tank top. Everything is one flat rate, making it more affordable than a usual store (but more so than outlets). The best news is, everything is on hangers so the gross-bin thing is not a problem!I understand it's a new concept goodwill is trying but I TOTALLY dig it!

Look like the mask police on patrol again.We have taken precautions and have had the vaccines.If we asked to wear a mask,we will.Dont have a problem with putting one on.But don't catch us as we walk in the door telling us to put one on, when there are 4 other shoppers in the store with no mask anywhere.

The prices have gone up to much! I was in there 1-30 19 and they had a motorcycle suit for 200.00 dollars.Come on people,this is an over priced junk store.Men's clothes are for super senior's.Whoever prices these items are nuts.

Miss shopping at GoodBuys. I used to live in Taylorsville and had to move to Wilkes County so I don't get a chance to shop here as much but plan to look at a Queen mattress set if they still have them.

They want to much for there stuff. It is giving to them and they look on the internet and charge half price for the stuff even if some peices are missing or whatever. That is even what one of the workers their told me.
