Wouldn’t recommend working here there’s some customers who will play the change game and they get away with it and you get write up for it What happened was this guy gave me a $50 bill after the purchase and I was like 40 something and an hour later he found out he gave me 50 so he comes back an hour later and there was nothing I could do really I also gave him the right amount of change I was told by the cash register screen so I get called in the office and I got a write up and after that I quit trust me you don’t wanna work here and the pay sucks you can make more money elsewhere I don’t see how there gonna be open much longer if they keep letting customers play the change game🤷‍♂️

Hi I'm jody and I currently work at Maxway in tabor city. Just wanted to respond to a few reviews. I have been with Maxway since May and the reviews on here are 💯 true. As far as the clutter, Jason the manager and I have been working extremely hard to make Maxway a pleasant shopping experience. If you have been in the store lately you will notice a big improvement in the way the store looks. we are also working on bringing in new friendly faces. Please if you haven't been to Maxway in a while please come by and check us out now. And when you do please look for me Jody. I really enjoy getting to know my customers and helping in any way I can! Also don't forget that every Wednesday is senior citizen day. You get an additional 15% off your total purchase if you are a senior citizen. Remember every Wednesday! !

This store has improved 100% new management and pleasant people working. Clean and the clutter is a lot better. I enjoy shopping there.

It's a good little store! Inexpensive and has a pretty good selection of stuff to choose from. Only wish the staff was friendlier.

Old cabbie lady was apparently the manager on duty. She does Not need to be in retail. Complaining loudly as u walk in about working the. I bought something clearly marked clearance and she would not correct the price. . She is not a pleasant person

Store, jammed with merchandise. Usles were small, looked cluttered. You have changed many items as dog food, bird seed. Felt I was in a cluttered Dollar Store in last visit. Clerk was pleasant.

Definitely NOT a pet supply store. They have have of one aisle of random pet stuff but not much to speak of.

TABOR CITY MAXWAY...store manager SARAH was a complete bunghole she was screaming at me across the store .while I was there I heard her talking ugly to other people that was shopping one lady walked out..2 other ladies where back by the curtain department talking about her talking ugly to her elderly mother...
