This vet is by far the most expensive vet ive ever been to. Don't know if anyone else has had this experience. It seems they did far more than necessary in an attempt to upcharge. When I questioned the price I was told quote "it's just business" and they offered to take back the medicine my dog needed for $200 off of the $1000 bill.

VERY EXPENSIVE! Due to our puppy taking a hard fall we took her to the closest nearby vet. She ended up needing an x-ray as well as bloodwork (requested by the vet as to be expected) and due to white blood cell count being alittle high she prescribed an antibiotic. One x-ray found the issue and medication for potential infection was given anyway. Total bill was one THOUSAND dollars for x-Ray and medication. Our primary vet charges $50 for x-rays and affordable pricing for medications so this is absolutely mind blowing. The receptionist responded to our questions with “business is business” …… Always ask for pricing before your pet is seen because we learned prices range drastically for the same services. I usually wouldn’t post a negative review.

When we moved we needed to get a different vet and my husband suggested Dr. Barnhill. We love this vet and all the staff have always been great. Compared to our previous vet, they are more reasonable with costs and really care about our furbabies. We have taken our dogs and even chickens there and Dr. Barnhill takes time w each patient, explains everything to us and tells us our options etc. Do glad to have a vet that cares now!

Tiffany & staff are the best around! She has saved several of my pups. She always is available. They fit us in no matter how busy the office is. They gave us a great deal & free meds when we our pup broke her leg. They really help you anyway possible. And they are so understanding. They don't snatch your pet around like a rag doll. My "go to" vet for all my animal care needs. I am definitely a frequent flyer at this clinic. I have been using Dr Barnhill for several years and the level of care is superb. It is worth the 20 minute drive for me even though there are several vets closer. It's a walk in clinic and the wait times are never more than a few minutes. Sometimes the price of the visit is higher than I expected but more often it is less than expected. She has many times waived the visit fee and only charged for the actual procedure. Her support staff are all wonderful and they all show genuine care for your pets. If she needs to refer you for work beyond her scope such as specialized surgery I can guarantee that the clinic she works with in Wilmington is world class. For my Cali's dislocated toe, the clinic in Wilmington did the main surgery but then I was able to go to Dr Barnhill for regular splint changes so I only had to travel 20 minutes instead of 100. In this instance she was also regularly communicating with the outside surgeon regarding my dog's care. It was awesome to know there were two teams of experts handling my dog's care and her toe healed perfectly. I am never less than 100% satisfied in dealing with Dr Barnhill and her staff.

I took my dog Louie to see Dr. Barnhill. From the moment we walked in the door I could tell he was just as comfortable being there as I was. Dr. Barnhill and her staff were so friendly and gentle with Louie. We had been to a few vets in the past but have never gone back to the same one twice but we will be going back here. If you live in Columbus County and have pets then you need to go see her. I promise you won't be disappointed.
