They closed self checkout unless you pay them a membership fee for the privilege of using it. They didn't hire any new cashiers to cover this change so now they are down 9 registers in an already highly busy store. Stood in the express checkout line 10 minutes and moved one person forward out of 20 people.They also rarely stock the freezer section. An entire freezer unit of ice cream has been empty for the past month not because of shortages but because they do not hire enough employees to stock it.Just go to Food Lion 5 minutes up the road, they're always stocked and the lines are more manageable.

It's awesome... incredible...I love it... great place! One of the cleanest, most well- behaved Wal-Marts I've ever been to. What a great town, great community, a great place. This store has almost everything and the prices are prefect. A++

I will always hate Walmart. Net weight of the chicken says 2.25lbs weighed it at 1.11lbs still charged for the full 2lb price. Thanks Walmart get it together like you ain’t being slick about it

Awesome to walk out a Walmart and see mountains. What a wonderful view. The greeter and cashiers were nice. As we were walking out we see these cute smoky mountain coffee cups we had to have lol.

What's with all the dogs in Walmart?I don't understand why I can grab a shampoo for 7.97 on the shelf but a leave in conditioner that's in a bigger bottle and only .50 cents more is behind a locked shelf so now I have to go find a worker to unlock and then purchase that one item from them. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️now that they have closed off the self checkout lanes, they need more lanes open but at least my cashier was super friendly

Long lines, cashiers look like they hate there lives being there. Can't find things you need, if you find a employee stocking they tell you it's over there and keep working. Will be driving to waynesville. Best store in the area and ear buds don't take president over customers. Just shut this store down.

Used to shop here regularly, but never again.Ever since they made self checkout exclusive it's taken way too long to checkout. We're talking 30 minutes.It used to be a store, the manager now treats it like a warehouse for pickup car orders. Employees always blocking aisles with huge carts for online orders.I'm switching pharmacies too.I'm done with Walmart.

Closed self checkout. Now if you want to just buy 2-3 things you have to wait in a 15 minute line for because the registers are old as hell. The store always has pallets of stock in your way and always seems to be incredibly understaffed. Self check made it manageable. It’s not worth it anymore.

It's an older Walmart set up like they were in the 90's, which I loved.It tool 20 minutes for the sporting goods person to help me and another guy who had already called for help. That was annoying. Otherwise, employess were kind and friendly, even to this Carpetbagger without a southern accent, but has lived in the south for the better part of the last 25 years, so thank you!

Just went last night, 3-22-2024, self-checkout was closed. The cashier apparently was not trained to properly bag groceries. I absolutely hate this. My items don't stay as cold as they should and it's a pain to separate bags when I get home. Usually I leave cold items by the fridge. Frozen items by the freezer and non-grocery I take to that room.Also, MANY things can go wrong if you mix food in the same bag as non-food items!!! Also, there are days when I am shopping that I can't go straight home and put my frozen/cold items in a cooler in my car to keep. Why should I have to rebag everything when I get to the car in order to do this?How exhausting!

The workers here are so kind and helpful, the store is taken care of. Closed the self checkout and opened up two registers, one of which is a 20 items or less line. Just save yourself the time and go to food lion.

I am so tired of our Walmart having nothing to buy. The store is dirty and all the freight is just piled everywhere. You can't get through aisles, it's a hazard. The boxes just sit everywhere. Nobody seems to care that it's unsafe...if there was an emergency nobody could even get out. Everytime I go for something it's out. Probably stacked in a box somewhere. Do yourself a favor drive to Waynesville Walmart. Cleaner and better stocked.

Two lanes open on a Saturday night? Will be making the drive to Waynesville from now on. They still have self checkout open and don't treat all of their customers like thieves. Long lines is what makes people want to steal. Get a grip.

This Walmart has a helpful electronics staff who's responsive in getting merchandise from locked display cases promptly.This store is well managed and staffed with focus put on organization and cleanliness.keep up the good work it's recognized by some.

This place is about gotten ridiculous,I LOVE shopping at Walmart because it's everything in one store. But, this has became the norm in ours and they don't mind to check your receipt but there is not enough people to run registers even though there is 2 or 3 standing at the self checkouts or up front just talking

Packed. Small, mostly rude employees except for an exceptional few in the front at the help desk and self check out. The walmart order shoppers definitely feel customers are less important than them and that you should cater to staying out of their way. Lack of organization. Prices are wild lately...I try and limit trips here unless absolutely have too! Don't get me started on the pharmacy. If you're on any controlled substance be prepared for a power struggle with the pharmacist. They literally have argued with me how many days were in a month while I'm counting the days on phone with my Dr and she's saying they are wrong and the pharmacist flat out eventually said she wasn't doing it because she didn't want too! I went back to walgreens.

It is a walmart. Same as all the others. Cheap products and zero customer service. You have to ring up your own groceries but that is why everything is sooo affordable. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Currently, four registers are open all of them have lines backing up to the clothing section and a self check out is wrapping around into the bakery section. Yet they have sales associates, stocking shelves, and twiddling, thumbs very poorly managed.

Self checkout closed and now an already bad store got worse. Don't always have things I need and now I have to stand in a dumb cashier line when I can just be in and out in minutes with the self checkout. I now hate this Walmart even more.

Never in my life have I seen such a travesty. This poor store is so understaffed that there are boxes and boxes in the aisles. you can barely move. people are walking around shoplifting eating food, leaving half eaten stuff and drinks lying around. it's disgusting.It's very sad.

Two separate pickup orders of 2 50 gallon storage containers, two times it showing them in stock at two separate stores, both pickup orders substituted with storage containers less than half that size which had to be canceled, and BOTH trips to two separate stores showing them in stock, had none.Pita!

I just spent nearly an hour waiting for my prescription to be filled. Which I normally wouldn't complain about. My issue is that I was told TWICE by different people that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes! Honest, realistic expectations aren't too much to ask for. Very poor customer service.

This store is NEVER stocked, always a complete mess (so much so you can not navigate through aisles) and I don't find the employees to be helpful but rather hateful. The meats are always almost bad .... vegetables as well. Policies seem to change from one employee to the next. An example is the return policy. Buy on a card and get refunded to that card. Even if it's a gift apparently. Yet countless times they have refunded cash when bought with a card. Not a good store.

It would be higher but there's a lot of places I think need improvement. 1 being that there are ALWAYS pallets blocking a lot of pathways. It's not mobility challenged friendly. The front bathroom always smells bad and most often is lacking soap or paper towels or both.The back bathroom is always cleaner but also darker.For having so many unloaded pallets strewn about, they're also prone to having a lot of empty shelves.And now a lot of cosmetics and shampoo products are behind locked doors. It takes a minimum of 30 minutes and hunting down and employee to get help with them only to be told someone else has the key and twice I was told I had to look for them myself. The "get help" button at the cosmetics center doesn't ever bring help. I attempted for over and hour at one point.
