This store is kind of like a mini Walmart. They seem to sell everything. They sell air conditioners, fans, microwaves, wall hangings, clocks, bed sheets, pillows, comforters, tents, toys, shoes, OTC medications, groceries and a lot more. Wow!

My husband and I always try to make a stop at Roses in Sylva NC when we go to Cherokee and this evening when we were there the store was a mess and we both had to use the restroom and they were both disgusting like they had not been cleaned in days the floors were filthy they smelled horrendous no soap to wash hands just disgusting needless to say I got my body wash and left I was disappointed in the nastiness of this store cause I love me some Roses

I've been shopping here my whole life. It's an old store and it shows it. The location is a little small - maybe closer to a Roses Express. They always have plenty of great items at good, low prices though. Staff are generally friendly and will help you out. Love finding new things and stuff you can't get at other places!

I stopped in to look at a few things and after being in the store for only a few minutes I had the sudden urge to use the bathroom. I have a medical condition that causes me to need a restroom often. If I am unable to relieve myself, it usually results in me having an accident. I asked at the front where the bathroom was and the young man behind the counter pointed me towards the back. I made it the the back as an older man, who I assume was a manager, came down the stairs from a back area. He stopped me and looked at me with a "what do you want?" Expression. I said I was looking for the restroom and he quickly said "we're closed now" with a less than friendly tone. Before I was able to explain the urgency of the situation, he turned his back on me and walked away around the corner. This resulted in my having a very unfortunate accident in the store. I understand that it was closing time but to turn someone away from the restroom, even without knowing the situation, is inhumane and wrong. I was clearly in distress and that man had no compassion whatsoever.

Never in All my days, have I ever seen a store so filthy dirty! Disorganized, hangers all over the floor, items of every sort, on the ground in all departments, the store had a foul smell to it. The clothes were in such drastray, and so tightly packed on the racks, couldn't even look at what was hanging on the racks. I had a piece of clothing I wanted to try on, went to the fitting rooms, looked in the first one, said no way, looked in the second one, could not believe my eyes. It made me sick to my stomach, to the point I had to leave the store, immediately. I can definitely tell the health department doesn't go in there, otherwise they would shut them down. Disgusting! I am utterly shocked that The town of Sylva would allow such a disgrace to even be open.

Roses is a great place to shop they have a lot of items to purchase. This a nice clean store. I will return to Roses for some Christmas shopping.

Bathroom was horrendous, feminine pads everywhere including on sink counter, no toilet paper. Isles nasty and disheveledStaff ignored me when I reported bathroom. My grandmother shopped this store until she passed in 2017 and she would have been shocked at the condition of the store and the lack of customer service and lack of pride in a retail store

I love Roses and this one is a little smaller than some but still lots of Kool and affordable items to choose from! The staff they have now are always very friendly and that's always important to me! I love all the shops in Jackson plaza you should stop in and check them out when your in the area for sure.

Chris Mathis went above and beyond to help me. He went as far as getting jumper cables from the shelf to jump my truck because I didn't have any neither did he. Always a friendly store to come in for anything you may need

Seems like a lot of comments about the store being run down and messy. Well, it’s a discount store and not staffed with 150 people like a multi-million dollar chain store. Also I am mid 40s and remember this store as a small child so it’s an old building. All that being said, I love this store. The staff is so nice! The deals are great. It’s a good store for people on a budget or someone like me who is sick of the giant, busy, impersonal, conglomerations. $5.00 HUGE fluffy dog beds, $3.00 scented jarred candles, $20 bed in a bag sets, and beautiful home decor at cheap costs.

Walked in the store to buy a swimming pool price is clearly marked $99 multiple boxes $99 have photos got it registered yes they gave me my military discount very proud of them. Get out to the car realize they rang up at the pool for 159. Go back inside try to talk to three different cash register personnel all three are incapable of doing a refund after three tries still refused to give me my refunded money back and left it at full price. Asked for managers number given a fake number go back inside asked for managers number and sure did that this was the managers number and instead given the store register number lied to again so they ripped me off $60 as a first responder during this time. Ripped me off as a military personnel during this time complete and confidence and lies manager refuses to talk to us won't even give me full refund for the pool and take it back would recommend no one ever go to the store and every military person and first-responder in Western North Carolina to boycott this store

We love Roses store in Sylva North Carolina! Found a lot of bargains and other items. Seems we never leave without spending over $100.00. It’s a great place to find treasures. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

If you are familiar with Rose's chain then you know exactly what you are getting. It is not the cleanest and the quality of merchandise is not the greatest, along the lines of Big Lots. But it is right off the highway if you need to get in and out quickly for something like a phone charger or cord for the car.

Its been in Jackson shopping plaza for a long time. Used to look like fancy dept store in its younger days. Seems sort of run down now but still a great place for low prices. Roses, Jackson plaza, Sylva NC, might be looking a bit shabby in its old age but its home to a lot of very low prices. Many items even cheaper than Walmart.

This store is interesting. You can tell it's a bit on it's last legs, and it's not too well taken care of. The staff are nice and you can find some good deals here, though.

Had a tough time getting help to open the dressing room. You have to walk to the front register then they page someone... Took a while.
