I shop at the Sylva CVS often and am an extra care member, I love the discounts and I love the service I get at THIS CVS, I capitalized this because not all CVS's have Sara - she and the others at this store actually take the time to help. They are also visible and cheerful - some other stores (I won't mention which) you cant even see an employee at all. seems like they installed self checkout and checked themselves out! Anyway, today I has the pleasure of having Sara take care of me - as usual she went the extra mile.\n Thanks!

Agree with other reviews. This deserves negative stars. Poorly run. Medication never ready. Always told it's on order. Staff extremely rude. If they don't have the staff to operate they need to shut down. I'd change pharmacies if I could but insurance only pays with CVS. Do better CVS

What a dissatisfying experience for 2 years. I’ve tried to stick with them, but when they never have meds in stock it doesn’t make sense to keep using them for prescriptions. Hasn’t gotten better regardless of the feedback I’ve shared. Just tired of the subpar experience altogether.*edited to add that—after calling and being on hold for 30 mins, going by the pharmacy and being told they don’t have time to see if they have my prescription, and waiting SEVEN FULL DAYS, they still haven’t filled my prescription. I transferred to Walmart. Bye, CVS.

If I could award ZERO stars, I would. If you're a Sylva CVS-goer, this is your only choice apart from Waynesville. I had the worst pharmacy experience with a rude pharmacy tech. She put my Rx on hold earlier in the day, simply because of price. Then when I arrived, she told me it wasn't ordered for the next day because of cost. Why didn't she call me? I desperately need the Rx today, but they don't care at all. What has happened to healthcare? To make matters worse, she then made me wait in a 13-person long line to actually check out for another 55-cent prescription. Meanwhile, two other women behind the counter were actively and loudly sharing nasty stories about customers. I was astonished by the lack of professionalism. No one seemed to care except Chris behind the counter. Even Walmart must be better than this. Shame on you CVS and your Pharmacy staff.

Every single time I try to use this pharmacy, there is an issue. And they don't care. They also never answer the phone. Going back to Walmart where they run things smoothly.

Cannot get help, always a problem with staffing or the doctor but never that they simply are poorly run. I cannot get my meds in a timely manner or without incredible mental and emotional strain. What is going on???? I can't get anyone to even answer the phone. The account through CVS ONLY GOES SO FAR, if it's not working then it's not working

So far my experience has been a good one!! Lorena is the sweetest and this red headed lady with glasses she's nice as well 😊. I coupon there and so far have had a wonderful experience with staff, I have had a couple get really agitated with me when doing a transaction, it's the system is so weird. I would do self check all the time but damn it starts voiding out my coupons after scanning so I have to use a register . I have heard bad things about some management not liking couponers, so far that hasn't been my experience though, I will definitely keep this post updated if anything changes.

If I could give this review a negative star, I would. This is the most incompetent place I have ever seen in my life. I have been on hold for 49 minutes as of right now. It is like this daily. They never answer. They never have my medicine ready. They have had my script for over a week now and I still haven't got a text saying it is ready. I'm driving to pharmacy now just to be told it isn't ready and I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get it. I have the same script, every month for 2 years and it is the same problem every single month.

I enjoy going to CVS from time to time. They have some decent deals and products that you would otherwise only find at a huge box store. I like the fact that you can now check out without getting the longest receipt ever conceived. I have never been able to use the self-checkout without getting an associate to unlock the machine. I much prefer Mark's pharmacy for prescriptions; however, I shop for any non-prescription medication at CVS. Overall, it is a joy to shop at CVS and get to shop for many box-store items without fighting traffic and/or people.Any problems I may have with CVS are not because of the store or store management - the problems I see are of a corporate nature and out of the control of the local associates. Maybe CVS corporate would do good to get local associate input. This way, ridiculously long receipts would not have to become a meme before the problem is resolved.

These people at this location are so nice! Did their jobs without prompting...rare where we usually pick up our prescriptions. CVS was supposed to transfer from a previous location to this store. Didn't happen. Pharmacist got the prescription transferred for us and filled it in less than 15 minutes. Gave id so he could look up the prescription easier and we all forgot to get it back. They called 2 hours later to let us know it was there. Went back to get it and we received an apology for taking so long to get it. We don't get that kind of treatment where we normally shop. Makes me want to go back. Wish my pharmacy benefit still used CVS!

This store received one star just because it would not allow me to give a negative rating.Prescriptions are never ready for pickup and you are always told it will be 30 minutes. 30 minutes from when?Three trips and I am still waiting for that 30 minutes to come.

Y'all have a competent, capable, and customer care/need driven employee in Sierra. She went above and beyond in her pursuit to complete my transaction. She did it right... all while having to deal with vendors from across the waters. Y'all better give that woman a raise....otherwise she'll be an asset to your competition and will bring and keep customers there.

SYLVA NC Pharmacy sucks—-Multiple times have had scripts called in only to show and be told they don’t have and tell me it’s my job to call other CVS pharmacy’s to see if they have the meds or have it transferred.Rudest people I have ever dealt withCall to be put on hold twice for over 30 mins each time and sad part is rode by and THEY WERE NOT BUSY

Honestly if i could i would give this place 0 stars it takes almost 2 hours just to get through the drive thru and another 3 hours to get whatever you need. So yea in my opinion 0 stars

Terrible service. Acted like I was a criminal when I didn't have my debit card for a return and needed cash back. The cashier told me I could only get a gift card for the return (not true) and then returned the $ to the lost debit card I had already explained that I didn't have. Not everyone is trying to swindle you. If you buy an item from there you should be able to return it without being questioned like you are trying to do something illegal.

This CVS is so incredibly rude and hateful. They are NEVER READY on time. I take a controlled substance and on my only day off from work they will not let me pick it up because it is 2 days before my refill date. Okay fine. But then on the date my prescription is supposed to be ready for pickup, it’s never ready. So my options are either to miss work to pick up medication I need that I cannot even take for the day since it will be ready too late or skip my meds today, and hope to god they have some sense to have my prescription ready on time the next day so we can try again. I have never spoken to such rude people over the phone when asking about an update. I ask when the prescription will be ready and she says 2 hours. I tell her that in past they won’t let me pick it up on my day off so I’ve requested them to at least have it ready on date of pickup before 11am, and that I work every day at 12, and if there’s anything we can do like transfer my prescription to another CVS or a different pharmacy from now on. She pretty much just said no you cannot go to another cvs, said okay and hung up on me. But whatever I guess, just another person having to miss a dose of medication I NEED. And to top it off they are incredibly slow throughout all aspects of the pharmacy. Of the 3/4 months I’ve been on my medication every interaction here has been awful, and I have no choice but to try and call someone higher up to get help.

I love this pharmacy. I went in today for a Shingles vaccine. The pharmacist Danielle, was wonderful!! She educated me very clearly on the vaccine, then helped save me money on the cost since I don't have insurance. I appreciate her so very much.

They rip people off in the pharmacy dept. They charged me $25.90 for a tube of CVS brand cream that they sell over-the-counter for $3.99. And won't accept return or give refund because it was written as an RX. They put Rx in a paper bag so you can't see what they are overcharging you on. They are extremely unhelpful! except for the one "Weird" guy. Every time I go in there it's like they have a completely new staff. At least the sales people up front are helpful.

I go out of my way to be polite and efficient on the phone. The main person who answers this pharmacy’s phone leaves me in tears, every single time, at least 10 times over the course of a year. Why be so hateful? I’ve asked for a time I can call when she isn’t answering the phone, but got no help. CVS best fits my needs, but I can’t take it anymore. People deserve to be treated with respect, especially if they are very politely trying to get things done. Check my other reviews: all 5 stars. I would *never* criticize a business without trying to resolve it first- all I could get was more hostility and disrespect. :(

I like CVS every cashier I've interacted with has been super sweet but they don't close at 10 here. If you wouldn't mind changing the hours on here to be a little more accurate please. I can understand fast food places around here not sticking to their hours in this town, but this is a pharmacy and someone might really need you.If leaving early is because the store lacks resources to stay open please say that so someone who requires your services can plan accordingly. Other than that, keep up the good work! Thank you for everything yall do 🙂

1 star as of yesterday. Inside pharmacy closed past two days. Sat in drive thru Monday for 20 min no movement. Tuesday sat in drive thru 20 min no movement. They said system was down. You would think they would tell those in line of the issue. Seriously thinking of changing pharmacies after today.

The Bellvue location is the worst. People are rude one example is I called on a Monday and told them I would be there Saturday to pick them up. PLENTY OF TIME TO REFILL THEM. So when I get there around noon. She says they aren’t ready yet. I said I gave u a 5 DAY NOTICE. My insurance is in with cvs only reason I use them.

I wish I could give less stars. I have been a customer here for 30 years and they were so great back years ago. Now? Awful is not the word. The pharmacy is unbelievable. Never the same pharmacist when I go in. They won't answer the phone. I ran out of a medication that I was NOT supposed to just stop suddenly because they claimed I never sent in the request to refill and it needed renewal. I have screenshots of every renewal request. 5 of them! The store employees are great, very nice and helpful but do not go to the pharmacy for help because it won't happen.

I understand when you drop off prescriptions there will be a wait. This location constantly tells you about an hour yet when you return your order isn't ready and they say it'll be another 30-45 minutes! Not a big deal if you live nearby but I don't! started using CVS because they took over managing my employer prescription plan, that's the ONLY reason. Some of the techs are great but the select few that aren't make me dread having to go here. Caremark is even worse. So disappointed with the changes my employer made

If only I could give negative stars. On vacation, forgot my meds. Drove 30 minutes to ask for 2 pills to get me through the weekend. The tech refused, saying I had no refills. I said I don't need refills, I have a 90 day supply at home. Would not call my local CVS, offered to call my Doctor (on a Saturday?). As soon as I can go back to my Doctor, I am moving all my prescriptions. I hope I don't have a heart attack on my vacation

The Pharmacist was so disrespectful to me and inconsiderate of my Cronic Pain Condition. I am a New customer and was not told I had to call in, 2 days ahead to get my Oxycodone filled. Plus they were out of my medicine. The Drugest said it would take 2 days to get my Oxycodone. I can't go that long without my meds. She made it very clear that she did not care about my problem. She made no effort to find me some medicine. I told her that it was unsatisfactory and I was going to take my business elsewhere! She didn't care! I walked out and called my Dr. And got a new Precription at Mark's Pharmacy in Sylva. I will never go back to CVS AGAIN!! OH you have to check yourself out. There is no one at the Regesters! Squeeze the toy for Clerk Check Out!!! I'm Done!!!

My mother ran out of insulin due to a glitch with the VA online system. Our local VA submitted an emergency refill to the Sylva, NC pharmacy. I pulled up at 1300, they didn’t have it, at the same time they were calling my mom to let them know they didn’t have the payment information, so she called the va back, they state they faxed it with the script. So she called back the pharmacy, when the lady stated they don’t review the paperwork that comes with the script, they throw it away... so we get that situated, pull up to the pharmacy window, they proceed to tell us they don’t accept va payments, mind you this is after 4, when we can no longer call our clinic. So we asked why they didn’t tell us in one of our 3 phone calls. She simply replied the didn’t do that... so needless to say I had to drive my mother 1 hour to Asheville to get her medications. The lack of customer service and professionalism is ridiculous... never go here!

It is a great CVS if you go for anything other than the pharmacy. Pharmacy is lacking in so many ways especially in customer service. There are a few individuals that are helpful and courteous. However, the pharmacist we dealt with over the past two days was very unprofessional. We use CVS out of convenience, but it is worth driving elsewhere after our experience here.

I've only ever had good experiences here, it seems that good experiences aren't very common here, but everyone in the pharmacy has always been extremely nice, and they know me well enough to where they will recognize me when I go there and have my stuff ready before I approach. One of the best CVS pharmacies I've been to, even calling on the phone is very pleasant. :)
