Employee the use of tge automated self check outs.Purchase just enough for two days, or Grocery shop a minimum of 2-3 times weekly. Use good organizational skills.

Great to see that it wasn't busy, well until I got into the line. The lines got large but they rectified it quickly and from there it was smooth sailing. The prices were great and the number of specials makes it worth going to get groceries. My biggest complaint is that the plastic bags that they give now are garbage and rip when you put anything in them. Even the employees were having trouble and saying they were garbage. Other than that no complaints. Also glad to see we are still hiring high school students to do entry level jobs.

All these years I've never had an issue here yes Walmart is better but for cheaper deals on food definitely go here they always have bogo sales on your favorite brands !!!

I have been a customer with food lion for over 15 years. Never had a problem until now. I had a bad experience with a cashier a couple of weeks ago and let it slide.. but today the lines were long and I noticed that cashier had a few customers before me and I asked if he was open because his lite was off. Sometimes cashiers will help out until lines go down. He totally ignored me and I asked again. Simple yes or no would have sufficed, but he looked up at the light and looked at me like I was stupid. Not cool at all. Management needs to deal with this and they will be contacted.

I don't like that they hide the ingredients and the ones you do see are terribke and they say the customers matter? One kid at the checkout counter (an employee) gave am old Lady a hard time about NOT USING SELF CHECKOUT!! WHAAA??

There is a gentleman in the back. His name is Kyle. That man is a genuine image of this company. He made sure no matter what that I was satisfied he helped me out more then once. But this particular day I was very down and distraught. I can not walk very well so I use the machine that drives around the store. He noticed I was in pain and came to my aid walking with me around the store to help me reach things and gather my groceries He has done this each time I babel and babel about my week or day and he always listens even if he is busy. A great man with a great company. I Told him I would write a review but he insisted that I did not need to. However I would like to return all the kindness. This is why I always shop at my Swansboro food lion. The kindness this man has shown me is what I genuinely believe foodlion is all about. Thank you sir and I hope to see you again

I always enjoy getting my food from this Food Lion! They are also very good at working with Postmates for grocery delivery. The store is always clean, the staff always courteous and friendly, and they keep everything stocked! They also have SO many accessible parking spots, which is very important to me. Definitely shop here if you're visiting from out of town and need groceries for your beach trip!

Always enjoy my shopping at food lion in swansboro staff are always very helpful and extremely nice. Their sales and prices make a big difference in my grocery bill. Very seldom do I need an item I can't find they stay well stocked on almost all items thank you guys for doing such a great job. It's much appreciated.

I'm not happy with the cantaloupe. Every time I bought the sliced cantaloupe, it has not been sweet or ripe enough for slicing for purchase. The price is too high to get a cantaloupe that is not good 😐

Nice clean store. Things are in stock and easy to find, and the people working there are super nice! You pay a little more for things than the monstrosity down the street, but it is well worth the little bit extra.

They didn't want me to bring in my service dog. Totally against the law. Tried to force me to put my dog which cost $1800 not counting training, onto their disgusting floors. I do not shop in my hometown of Swansboro, NC. Never will! Taken friends there but I refuse to go inside this disgusting place!!!!!

This store has a fresh oriental food section on the Deli side. I drive from JACKSONVILLE to SWANSBORO just to buy this FUJISAN brand. Simply Delicious! 😋

Some bear spots, not to bad found what I wanted. Clean. Cashier seemed to have an attitude. Need to update your POS system to reflect line items with sale and MVP pricing. I hate having to find the item, ensure sale price than locate same item at the bottom to confirm proper pricing.

I was delightfully surprised at how clean and bright the store was. I could see there were a few outages but overall the store was a pleasant experience. The produce look beautiful. It made me want to buy them out. I will enjoy returning to shop again.

This is our "go-to" grocery store in the area. It is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. They have a pretty good in-stock and a pretty good variety.Everyone is friendly and really do help if you can't find something or it is out on the shelf. No attitude like some bigger places.UPDATE- They are currently going through a remodel and have added self checkouts.
